Chapter 885: Really Want to Kill Something to Relieve My Mood..._2
King Euno’s heart was suddenly relieved, and he glanced at the massive Black Dragon Palace, a flicker in his eyes.
Vich’s Tier Nine Legendary aura erupted instantly, suppressing any remaining thoughts in those behind him. His voice remained loud and clear: “King, after I leave, please take care of the Husto Clan.”
The emotions of reluctance and heartache began to surface in King Euno’s eyes, as if he wanted to say something to showcase a king’s mercy and righteousness.
But it was interrupted by a discordant voice.
“My patience is wearing thin. Have you not yet grasped the situation?”
Kexi soared into the air: “Ten minutes. If you don’t bring me what I want within ten minutes, I’ll get it myself.”
Buzzing~
Behind them, a massive storm cloud approached but did not move towards the Royal City. Instead, a forest and a large swath of land began to disappear.
It was as if someone had erased a pencil drawing with an eraser, leaving behind more black remnants.
This sight turned the faces of some people on the city wall pale.
King Euno was about to say something when Vich cut in: “Honored Miss Kexi, please wait a moment. My king has already agreed to your demands and preparations are underway.”
Kexi hovered in mid-air, ignoring Vich’s words, and said plainly, “9 minutes and 50 seconds left.”
“I understand, Miss Kexi. Within the specified time, you will receive what you want.”
After speaking, Vich turned to King Euno: “King, don’t hesitate, hurry. Think of the citizens in the capital, millions of them. Are you sure you want to watch them die with open eyes?”
King Euno sighed, the previous emotions entirely dissipated, and turned to leave. He looked at Vich, a complex expression in his eyes: “I’ll leave this to you, Vich. I’m going to make preparations; the Husto Clan will always be the Husto Clan.”
The treasury needed him to open it himself; he couldn’t stay here.
Vich paused slightly, bowed, and accepted the command.
The Tier Nine Legendary aura exploded, enveloping the restless individuals on the city wall and the more than thirty city lords behind him the instant King Euno disappeared.
He needed to take all the blame onto himself; perhaps…this was the best course of action for now.
Meanwhile…
Beyond the world…
Silent entities observed the inside of the world from a fragment of the world.
The main focus of their gaze was on three battlefields.
Observing the current situation, an old man holding a magic staff furrowed his brow, murmuring: “What’s happening? Why has that Baiyi stopped?”
“That person is a madman. Whatever he does is not beyond comprehension.”
“But he hasn’t killed anyone; this goes against what was agreed upon.”
“Should we go and ask Carl?”
“He can’t control this Baiyi either.”
“Then…”
The discussions continued unabated, the elderly man who spoke first gently tapped his magic staff, immediately drawing the others’ attention to him.
He pondered: “Shouldn’t the alliance be taking action by now according to the timeline?”
“I’ll go!” a burly man said instantly, a faint shadow of a single-edged axe behind him, his suppressed irritation evident from his tone.
The elder pondered and shook his head: “No, no need. Let’s wait a bit longer. This Baiyi is different. Let the Twilight World’s people handle it. They don’t agree with our plan either.”
The burly man grumbled, “Why should we care about them? Alliance leader? That’s bullshit.”
Another young man teased: “Oh really? In a hundred years, the alliance leader will be in your world. If you disdain him, tell your king to skip him.”
The burly man cast a glance at the speaker without answering, just muttering, “You tell the overlord. Telling me is pointless….”
The elder ignored the bickering, his gaze towards the inner world filled with concern, the prophecy had altered, and the future no longer held a future….
Changes…
—————–
The peak of the Black Dragon Palace.
Carl’s voice broke through Baiyi’s blockade, resounding in the throne room.
“Baiyi, what exactly are you doing? Why….”
Buzz~
Alchemy inscriptions sealed a device, Baiyi’s hands continuing in their task, his voice brusque: “Shut up, mind your own business. In the end, this world will be yours.”
After speaking, alchemy inscriptions emerged around Baiyi, completely sealing all communication devices on the throne.
He looked up, sensing the increasingly bold surveillance.
The so-called alliance should be acting soon, right?
At least, they should not remain passive; that wouldn’t match the predictions for the current situation.
Yet Baiyi cared little for such matters.
He had no interest in the fate of the other two armies.
And should they trouble him, Baiyi wouldn’t hesitate to kill the World Sea Alliance’s members first, then continue his alchemy.
Seizing a momentary break.
Several Soul Crystal Cores, along with numerous high-grade herbs and minerals, flew into the Blood Cocoon.
Baiyi needed materials above the legendary tier, and the resources in the Royal City now surpassed the total of over thirty cities combined.
Before these resources were converted into potions and consumed.
Baiyi would not summon Ulrich.
Summoning meant the end, and before the end, Baiyi intended to take everything he could get.
Besides the opposition within the alliance, nothing unexpected should occur with Baiyi.
Without the threat of national destruction, it was unlikely the Saints would show themselves.
With no sight of the Saints, none of the forces involved in this plan could act.
Holding the initiative, Baiyi had no fear at all.
Moreover, he had the “Undying” title and three lives.
Unless bad luck brought a Dimensional Anomaly, he could roam this world freely.
With this in mind, Baiyi attempted to contact Sabo with the Cross-Dimensional Communicator again.
Unfortunately, it was still useless. Hopefully, Sabo wouldn’t mess things up…he was considered an anomaly too…right?
—————–
Meanwhile, in a Small World infinitely distant from the mighty Baiyi.
The whole place was white but held an illusory quality; most of the creatures here were similarly ethereal, like some elemental life forms.
Indeed, even the occasional human exuded a powerful aura, some so potent their presence distorted space, leaving healing scars even after they passed.
And within a not-so-large manor, Sabo stood with his hands behind his back, somewhat nervously looking at an incredibly beautiful woman before him.
This woman appeared to be in her twenties, exuding a heroic aura, a blade of grass dangling from her mouth, as she eyed Sabo with suspicion.
“Are you really not someone else in disguise? You seem so changed.”
Ulrich reaffirmed.
She recognized who this guy was, but the transformation was too drastic, wasn’t it?
Originally her top pharmaceutical wizard, now he seemed…unfamiliar.
At the very least, that upright aura was no longer there.
As one of her best partners, Ulrich couldn’t help but suspect whether this fellow had been replaced.
Yet after numerous checks, he consistently revealed his true form, leaving Ulrich deeply troubled.
As for how he managed to get her attention when they’d barely met a few times a month….
It’s simple: if a shop that originally spent a thousand gold coins a month while earning back a hundred thousand suddenly lost a million in funds, all legally and compliantly, how could that not draw attention?
“People grow and can’t remain unchanged forever. Don’t you think so, Miss Ulrich? Besides, who could replace me in your manor? I think you need to clear your mind a little. How about trying my newly-developed Spiritual Purity Potion?”
Sabo suggested, producing a transparent vial.
The vial contained a viscous black liquid that did not cling to the sides, occasionally releasing black smoke drifting downward from bubbling magma within it.
Ulrich’s eyes were filled with disdain; this thing was the complete opposite of its name, wasn’t it?
She’d believe without hesitation if it were called a Mental Contamination Potion instead.
Ulrich still suspiciously asked for the umpteenth time: “Are you…really Bride?”
While speaking, the Divine Identification Skill was once again cast upon Sabo.
Sabo merely shrugged innocently: “You see, you’re always like this. How could I harm you? I’ve always said those resources are necessary research expenses. If you no longer trust me, I can leave.”
Ulrich: ….
I’m so tempted to kill something to relieve my mood…
Buzz~
Just as Ulrich thought this, a spatial fluctuation arose.
Bang!
Without hesitating, Ulrich struck with a punch.
“Damn! Lunatic period?”
A curse accompanied by a dull thud exploded as a streak of flowing light shot skyward.
A hint of red appeared in Ulrich’s eyes, yet the light enveloping her grew increasingly Divine.
