Shattered Fate

32- Against the Unbreakable

The golden restraint paralyzing Sam and Noel shattered, and they leaped away.

A few seconds later, the seal’s glow began to fade.

Yassin emerged from the smoke, standing firmly, but the damage from the explosion was clear across his body.

Noel gasped:

“Damn... Even that didn’t bring him down...”

Then he whispered:

“But... it should be enough to weaken him.”

Yassin slowly raised his head.

Quiet anger filled his eyes.

“You think...”

His golden aura ignited once more.

“...that’s enough to stop me?”

The moment he finished speaking, he coughed up blood.

He realized the seal had damaged him more than he expected.

“It’s the Destruction Seal... They drained most of my energy...”

“I have to end this quickly.”

The next moment...

he vanished in a golden flash and charged toward the two of them, beginning the battle.

A massive explosion thundered across the Black Valley, sending black sand into the sky.

Yassin appeared between them and drove his palm toward Noel, but Noel increased the gravity in front of him, slightly deflecting the attack.

At the same moment, Sam appeared from the side and formed an invisible blade from compressed air, slicing toward Yassin’s neck.

Yassin tilted his head, and the blade passed just beside his neck.

At the same time, he turned and kicked Sam in the stomach, sending him flying dozens of meters away.

He gave them no chance to catch their breath.

He rushed toward Noel, and the two exchanged a storm of punches.

The gravity changed with every strike, increasing around Yassin’s arms or legs, trying to slow his movements and throw off his balance.

Even so...

Yassin’s experience made up for everything.

He dodged a punch, seized Noel’s arm, pulled him closer, and drove his knee into his chest before throwing him away.

Before he could reach him...

Yassin felt enormous pressure surrounding his body.

Sam had extended both hands and begun increasing the air pressure around Yassin to a suffocating level.

Every movement became heavier than the last.

Even breathing became difficult.

But Yassin charged forward anyway.

He broke through the pressure with the force of his momentum and appeared in front of Sam, driving a straight punch toward him.

Sam raised his invisible air shield.

The fist slammed into it, then shattered the shield completely.

Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

The punch struck Sam in the chest, sending him flying as he spat blood.

Noel rose again and raised his hand.

The gravity above Yassin suddenly increased.

His body sank several centimeters toward the ground.

At the same moment...

Dozens of invisible blades launched from every direction.

Yassin closed his eyes for a moment.

Then...

he began moving through them with the smallest movements possible.

A step...

A duck...

A twist...

Until he reached Noel with only two shallow cuts across his body.

Noel’s eyes widened.

Yassin grabbed him by the face and slammed him into the black sand, then lifted him again and drove his elbow into his jaw.

Blood sprayed from Noel’s mouth.

Sam quickly retreated and extended his hand toward Yassin.

This time, he did not attack Yassin’s body...

He compressed the air inside it.

Yassin felt a sharp pain in his chest, as if his internal organs were slowly being crushed.

Blood escaped his mouth.

Sam smiled.

“The internal pressure has begun to take effect...”

But...

before he could finish, Yassin appeared in front of him.

Sam’s eyes widened.

“Impossible...!”

Yassin threw a straight punch.

Sam tried to weaken it with a pressure shield.

But the fist broke through it and buried itself in his stomach.

Sam doubled over, coughing blood.

At that moment, Noel appeared above Yassin and multiplied the gravity dozens of times.

The ground collapsed beneath Yassin’s feet.

But Yassin raised his head and looked at him calmly.

He jumped...

despite the gravity.

He caught Noel’s foot in midair and threw him toward Sam.

The two crashed into each other and rolled across the sand.

Yassin caught his breath with difficulty.

He tried to fire a golden beam from his palm.

The energy gathered...

then began fading before it could leave his hand.

He glanced at it calmly.

“So... the seal’s effect has reached this stage.”

Noel used that moment to attack together with Sam.

One surrounded Yassin with gravity...

while the other drowned him in a storm of blades and pressure.

Yassin suffered several wounds in succession, blood running from his arm, shoulder, and side.

But he did not retreat.

In the middle of the barrage...

he grabbed Sam’s arm and yanked him forward.

The moment Noel approached to save him...

Yassin turned and delivered a powerful side kick.

The gravity barrier shattered, and Noel was launched like an arrow until he crashed into one of the mountains surrounding the Black Valley, causing part of it to collapse.

As for Sam...

Yassin grabbed him by the neck and lifted him off the ground.

Despite the blood covering his body, Yassin’s eyes remained steady.

He said calmly:

“You both know very well...”

“If I were at full strength... this fight would have ended in the first minute.”

Then he threw Sam toward Noel.

Noel and Sam had not expected the battle to turn out this way.

They believed the explosion of the black seal and the damage it had done to Yassin’s energy would be enough to bring him down...

But reality was different.

All three were covered in wounds and blood.

Yet despite his severe injuries, Yassin remained standing firmly, breathing heavily, but his gaze never wavered.

As for Noel and Sam, their exhaustion was obvious.

Noel wiped the blood from the side of his mouth.

“Damn... Looks like you’re not going down easily.”

Yassin did not answer.

He simply raised his fists and returned to his fighting stance.

Noel gave a faint smile, then a black aura mixed with his dark-blue aura ignited around him.

Yassin sensed the energy and narrowed his eyes.

Noel said:

“Sam... let me finish this.”

Sam nodded and stepped back several paces.

The next moment...

both of them vanished.

Yassin appeared in front of Noel in an instant, driving a straight punch toward his chest.

But the gravity suddenly shifted.

Yassin’s body was thrown sideways despite his momentum, causing his fist to pass just beside Noel’s shoulder.

Noel took advantage of the opening and struck Yassin in the ribs with his elbow.

Yassin retreated half a step, then quickly turned and delivered a side kick.

Noel increased the gravity beneath his foot, anchoring himself to the ground and blocking the kick with both arms.

The earth shook beneath his feet, and black sand slid several meters behind him.

But before he could catch his breath...

Yassin had vanished again, appearing directly above him and bringing his elbow down toward his head.

Noel raised his arm to block the strike, but the impact shattered his balance and forced him to one knee.

Yassin seized his arm.

Then, with tremendous physical force, he changed the direction of gravity around him and hurled him toward a massive rock.

Noel struggled back to his feet, breathing heavily, and smiled despite the blood running from his mouth.

“Just as I expected...”

“Even weakened... you’re still terrifying.”

The two charged at each other again.

The Black Valley turned into crater after crater.

Every collision sent clouds of black sand into the air.

With every attack, Noel gradually began controlling the rhythm of the battle.

He changed the direction of gravity a moment before each strike, disrupting Yassin’s movements and preventing him from using his full speed.

But Yassin...

made up for it with experience.

He read every movement Noel made before it was complete.

As time passed...

the gap between them began to close.

Yassin barely dodged a punch, then grabbed Noel’s wrist and drove his knee into his stomach, forcing Noel to bend over in pain.

In the next moment...

Yassin struck his chest with his palm.

A concentrated burst of golden energy surged forward.

But it...

faded before it could hit him.

Yassin’s eyes widened.

Noel took advantage of the opening and struck him directly in his previous wound.

Yassin retreated several steps for the first time, and his strength began to fade.

Noel smiled.

“Your own power is starting to betray you.”

Yassin did not answer.

He attacked again, but every time he tried to use his energy, it faded before reaching its target.

The two collided once more.

Yassin grabbed Noel’s shoulder, then drove his elbow into his face.

Blood sprayed.

At the same moment...

he punched him in the ribs hard enough to hear them crack.

Noel dropped to one knee.

He breathed heavily, then raised his head with a smile.

“Now.”

At that moment...

Yassin felt something strange.

His body suddenly became heavier.

Noel had multiplied the gravity around him for only a brief moment.

One moment...

was all they needed.

Void Shackles appeared and pierced Yassin’s limbs, their purple energy beginning to flow through his body.

Yassin turned quickly.

He felt something slicing through the air behind him.

He raised his arm to block the attack, but all he saw was an invisible blade tearing through the air beside him.

At the same moment...

Sam appeared behind him.

He had compressed the air around his body to its absolute limit, allowing him to move at blinding speed without making a sound.

Yassin’s eyes widened as he tried to turn, but Noel’s gravity and the Void Shackles kept him restrained.

Sam smiled.

“We told you...”

He thrust his hand into Yassin’s chest.

For a moment, time seemed to stop.

Yassin coughed up blood.

Then he grabbed Sam’s arm with such force that his bones nearly broke.

Yassin spoke in a strained voice:

“Couldn’t... you find...”

“Any other way... except betrayal?”

Sam looked at him in pain.

“We told you... facing you directly... is pointless.”

Purple energy began flowing from Sam’s arm and into Yassin’s body.

The Void Shackles wrapped around Yassin’s heart.

Their grip tightened...

Blood poured from Yassin’s mouth and nose.

His body shook violently.

Then Sam pulled his arm back.

Yassin staggered several steps.

Despite trying to remain standing...

he finally dropped to his knees.

As blood fell onto the black sand...
