Shattered Fate
33- My Dear Student
In another place, Wail, Bahaa, and Elyes were searching the mountains for Yassin, but they could not find any trace of him.
The energy field Sam had created before the battle had hidden all the energy inside it, preventing anything from leaking outside.
But...
The moment Sam pulled his arm from Yassin’s chest, his energy became unstable for a moment, causing part of the field to dissipate.
At once...
the three stopped.
Elyes raised his head first.
“We found him...”
Without another word, the three rushed forward at full speed.
---
They reached the mountain peaks surrounding the Black Valley.
The moment they looked down...
they froze.
Yassin’s body was covered in blood, while Noel and Sam stood before him, both in equally terrible condition.
The three were about to jump into the battlefield, but...
Yassin raised his head toward them.
Their eyes met.
His gaze was sharp, carrying a clear command that allowed no argument.
The three stopped where they were.
Even Bahaa, who never backed down from anyone, felt a chill run through his body.

They all understood the same message...
“Do not intervene.”
Yassin breathed heavily, then brought his hands together in front of him.
He spoke in a tired voice:
“This... is the last thing I can do.”
His golden aura erupted violently, and every remaining trace of energy in his body gathered between his hands.
A complex golden seal formed before him.
Then...
two massive golden beams burst from it and shot toward Noel and Sam.
Their eyes widened.
They tried to resist with everything they had, but the beams engulfed them and began burning through them.
Suddenly...
dense black energy emerged from nowhere.
Dark took form before them.
He spread his arms and surrounded the two with his black aura.
The beams collided with it, then slowly began to fade until they disappeared completely.
As for Yassin...
he staggered and nearly fell, but planted his foot into the sand and forced himself to remain standing.
Meanwhile, Noel could no longer stay on his feet.
He collapsed to his knees, gasping for breath.
Sam...
slowly approached Yassin and stopped directly in front of him.
Yassin could no longer move, and blood continued pouring from his wounds.
Wail and the others jumped from the mountain, but before they could reach them...
they crashed into an invisible barrier and were thrown backward.
Bahaa struck it with his fist, while Elyes unleashed a light attack, but the barrier did not move.
Wail screamed:
“Yassin!!”
Sam raised his hand.
A transparent blade, barely visible, formed from it.
Wail’s eyes widened...
He was staring at Yassin’s back. His fist was raised, and he wore a victorious smile despite his condition, while the wind moved his torn robe.
In the next moment...
the blade passed across Yassin’s neck, and drops of blood scattered over the black sand.
He staggered...
then fell motionless to the ground.
---
Shock and rage mixed in Wail’s eyes.
Dense red energy began rising from his body, swirling around him as he repeatedly punched Sam’s barrier.
The air shook.
The ground cracked beneath his feet.
Noel and Sam looked at him at the same time.
Sam said:
“Now!”
The two prepared to charge at him.
But Dark raised his hand and stopped them.
“Not now.”
Sam looked at him in confusion.
Dark continued:
“You’ve exhausted everything you had fighting Yassin. And there’s also the Light User... and Bahaa.”
Then he smiled.
“We’ll meet them another day.”
At that moment...
the red energy around Wail expanded, almost swallowing his entire body, while his fists were covered in blood and wounds.
But suddenly...
the golden symbol he carried began to glow.
Pure golden energy burst from it and surrounded Wail from every side.
It collided with the red energy and slowly suppressed it until it vanished completely.
Wail looked toward Yassin.
And only then...
Yassin’s fingers moved slightly.
He slowly opened his eyes, his final breaths leaving his body.
He saw the golden aura that had saved Wail, and a peaceful smile appeared on his face.
He whispered in a voice barely loud enough to hear:
“Don’t let anger control you... my dear student...”
He took his final breath...
and his body became completely still.
At the same time, Dark opened a black portal. He entered it with Noel and Sam, and it closed behind them, taking the three of them away.
Silence fell.
Wail dropped to his knees, his eyes fixed on Yassin’s body.
He could not comprehend what had happened. Grief and rage twisted together inside his chest, leaving him unable to speak.
Bahaa approached and silently placed a hand on his shoulder.
As for Elyes...
he bit his lip while staring at the place where the three had disappeared.
The battle was over...
But something had changed that day...
and it would never be the same again.
Wail’s final look was not simply grief for his teacher...
It was the beginning of an anger that would never fade, a hatred he would never forget, and a wound that would remain open for years.
