Chapter 2453: Setting the terms

Looking at all of the sect masters that were sitting at this table staring at me, I didn’t react at all.

I wasn’t surprised at all when they asked me to attend this meeting and even placed me at the head of the table.

After all, the things that I had done yesterday really were a bit too shocking for them.

So it only made sense that they would do something like this to clear everything up.

Now I wanted to see just what they were planning to do.

"So why aren’t they saying anything?"

When the silence continued like this, it felt a bit awkward even for me. Especially since they hadn’t stopped staring at me during this time.

When they heard this, there were awkward looks that appeared on the faces of all the sect masters. Once again, it seemed like they didn’t know what to say, but it was different this time.

That was the response that they gave in the end.

I couldn’t help shaking my head before saying with a sigh, "I wasn’t planning on doing anything." Then continuing in the same way, I said, "I was just making some conversation, I didn’t think that you would take it that seriously."

There were wry smiles that appeared on the faces of all the sect masters when they heard this.

They couldn’t even tell if I was being serious about this, but I just calmly looked at them without saying anything else.

In the end, they had no choice but to take a chance.

"We want to exchange for those ’divine’ weapons."

The way that they said it was strange, it was as if they weren’t certain of what they were saying.

If I had said that these were weapons that were forged with immortal energy, then they would have understood it right away. But if I had actually explained things like that, there was no doubt that I would have never heard the end of it.

It would be confirming the one thing that they already thought and would just make things much worse.

"What are you offering?" I asked back in a calm voice without promising anything.

They didn’t answer right away as they looked at each other.

As they looked at each other like this, I could see that their eyes were moving as if they were communicating something with each other. At the same time, it also felt like they were even arguing about something.

Of course, I pretended like I didn’t see any of this.

After a while, the Mount Hua Sect’s sect master said, "We have many different things that we can offer, I’m sure that you’ve already seen that over the past few days."

Since they were being sincere, there was no reason for me to make things hard for them.

The artifacts were divided into low, mid, and high tier. That was what we used to determine the value of these artifacts.

Once we assigned the value to the artifacts, it was all about deciding how many of each artifact it would take to have an equal value to the divine energy weapons.

For me, that was something that was quite easy to do.

It wasn’t as if I knew how to directly convert it, but I was able to create something that was able to achieve this goal. All it took was a lot of divine energy, but the scanner was created.

The scale of the scanner was based on the divine energy weapons, but it was also adjustable in preparation for the future. With this scanner, I was able to tell just how the artifacts compared to the divine energy weapons in terms of energy.

Which was how I was able to price the divine energy weapons in the end.

At first they tried to argue this, but there was nothing that they could say when I just calmly looked back at them.

So in the end, they agreed to the terms.
