Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure
Chapter 2539: Hidden base (4)
In the end, I didn’t get a chance to think too much about this.
At first it seemed like the black spheres weren’t going to do anything with how they just remained there motionless.
"Crack."
It was the sound of something breaking open.
There was nothing else in this place that could have made a sound like this other than the black spheres that were here. It seemed like whatever was inside of these black spheres was about to hatch.
As this happened, the aura that came from these black spheres became even stronger and I was even more certain of it.
This was an aura that was like that of the Four Omens.
"Get back, we’re leaving this place!" Though they were already inside of the flames and it wasn’t as if they would have a problem leaving, I still said this.
After all, I could tell that they were starting to pick up on the aura that came from the black spheres after they hatched. They were able to tell that whatever was coming from the black spheres wasn’t normal.
In fact, there were a few that looked like they wanted to challenge them.
In particular, Alidus and Old Man Lancelot.
Alidus had been defeated by one of the Four Omens in the past, so he wanted to take revenge for what happened before.
But with Old Man Lancelot, it seemed like this was something that was much more personal.
He didn’t act out last time that we faced the Four Omens, but that was because he knew that he wouldn’t have been able to do anything. This time, it seemed like he thought that he would be able to do something against these black spheres and the things that were inside of them.
After all, it seemed like they were only on their way to become members of the Four Omens.
However, I knew that it wasn’t that simple since I could tell that there were more of these black spheres than one could see that were hiding behind the others. Once they actually hatched, we would be swarmed by the things that were inside of these black spheres.
So before the two of them could do anything, I suddenly rushed at them with my arms out. I didn’t give them a chance to do anything as I dragged them away from this place.
It seemed like they wanted to resist, but I made sure that they wouldn’t be able to as I created chains with my divine energy to keep them from running.
In the end, we were able to leave the room that the black spheres were in.
However, we didn’t leave the cave itself as we observed the black spheres.
They should have hatched because of us, but it wasn’t as if we could just leave them be. The things that came from these black spheres definitely wouldn’t be normal and we couldn’t let them leave this place to cause trouble for the continent.
So we had to figure out a way to deal with these things.
When the things that were inside of the black spheres came out, they slowly stood up and looked around as if they were trying to figure out where they were.
As they stood up, we could see the true appearance of these things and it seemed like they were humanoid. Only they were also things that were completely formed from corruption energy as one would expect from Apostles of Destruction.
It was just that after they had finished looking around, they suddenly looked at each other.
The way that they looked at each other wasn’t normal.
It wasn’t the way that comrades would look at each other, it was the way that hunters and prey would look at each other. Yet they all looked at each other as if they were the hunters and the prey was all around them.
It didn’t seem like they had any intentions of working with each other.
After a moment of silence, the things that hatched from the black spheres finally made their move.
They didn’t come at us who were standing at the entrance of the cave watching them. Instead, they suddenly lunged at each other and started ripping away at each other’s bodies.
It was as if they wanted to rip each other apart, but it wasn’t just because they wanted to kill each other.
There was one particular thing that I couldn’t help taking note of when I saw it because of how surprising it was.
After ripping off a part of the one that it was attacking, that creature placed that piece that was ripped off into itself. It was as if it was trying to absorb the part that had been ripped off.
No, it wasn’t just trying to absorb it.
It did absorb it in the end as that piece that was placed on its waist started entering it and becoming a part of it. It didn’t take long before that piece was absorbed and the one that absorbed it became bigger.
This seemed to be the real reason that they were attacking each other like this.
It seemed like this was the way that they were growing.
After all, I could tell that by absorbing the pieces of the others, the ones that remained were growing stronger based on their aura. The more pieces that they absorbed, the stronger that they became.
They were coming closer and closer to becoming like the Four Omens that I knew.
Though in terms of comparing to the first two of the Four Omens, they were still far off from being able to compare.
"This is like a gu ceremony." I couldn’t help thinking to myself as I watched this in shock.
It was just that I also realized that I couldn’t just keep watching since it would be dangerous to let them keep growing like this.
Once they had finished tearing into each other like this, then an Apostle of Destruction on the same level as the Four Omens should be born.
