Skill Trees Are Everywhere
Chapter 114: I Only Have This One Daughter!
Chapter 114: Chapter 114: I Only Have This One Daughter!
[Fusion Skill: True Sky-Filling Fire Dance: Summons the tangible Samadhi True Flame for the Fire Spirit Dance. Can be used to kill enemies or to perform.]
Su Han was left speechless.
Looking at the skill description, he suddenly felt completely baffled. Summoning tangible fire was understandable, the Fire Spirit Dance made sense, and using it to kill enemies was standard operation. But... excuse me, could someone tell him what the hell "can be used to perform" meant?
The skill was called True Sky-Filling Fire Dance. Did "can be used to perform" mean he could summon a sky full of flames, mold them into any shape he wanted, and then... make them dance?
After sensing the skill carefully, Su Han realized... that was exactly it.
So, if the short-tempered Samadhi True Flame—which had previously gone *BOOM* because the founding ancestor used it for a barbecue—knew in the afterlife that its remnants had been reduced to playing the role of a dancer... It probably wouldn’t have exploded so fiercely back then, would it?
Being used for a barbecue was at least in line with a fire’s proper job description. But now, despite its explosive temper, it was being forced to moonlight as a dancing girl.
Stretching out his index finger, he casually traced a shape in the empty air. A few seconds later, a flaming lotus bloomed in front of him.
The roaring flames danced gracefully, presenting a breathtakingly beautiful sight. It perfectly aligned with the saying that "the prettier the woman, the more deceitful she is," which essentially meant that the more beautiful something was, the more dangerous it proved to be.
"It actually looks pretty nice!" Su Han thought to himself as he admired the Samadhi True Flame lotus conjured by the True Sky-Filling Fire Dance skill.
He turned his head to look at Su Yi, whose eyes were shimmering with the reflected, ever-shifting light of the flaming lotus.
He subconsciously asked, "You want to watch fireworks, right?"
Su Yi stared at him in confusion.
*Encountering a fireworks show,*
*Taking the time of a reincarnation.*
*The Ziwei Star passes by,*
*With no time to say goodbye...*
*In this lifetime,*
*When paths cross,*
*Ultimately unable to...*
Looking at Su Yi tilting her head slightly, a familiar song inexplicably began to play in Su Han’s mind.
Then...
"Crown Prince?"
Su Xiao’Er’s voice yanked Su Han back to reality.
"Hmm?" Su Han turned around to look at the servant.
"Crown Prince, weren’t you... going to break off your engagement?"
Su Han fell silent, his face instantly darkening.
In the end, Su Yi didn’t get to see any fireworks. Of course, it was broad daylight, which was hardly suitable for a grand fireworks show. Moreover, fireworks and firecrackers were strictly forbidden in the heavily guarded Imperial City.
Even though he wouldn’t be using actual firecrackers, his "fireworks" consisted entirely of the Samadhi True Flame. That was even more fucking terrifying—a single falling spark could burn the entire Imperial City to the ground.
However... if the entire Imperial City was gone, wouldn’t only the Skill Trees be left?
On the way to the Imperial City, Su Han tilted his head, pondering this. Ultimately, he nipped this dangerous thought in the bud. If he actually dared to burn down the Imperial City, his parents would absolutely beat him so badly he’d be bedridden for a whole month. Committing arson in the Imperial City had to be at least fifty percent more serious than visiting a brothel at the age of eight.
Lost in his wild thoughts, he soon arrived at the inner section of the Imperial City.
"Han, you’re here."
Emperor Jing didn’t seem surprised by Su Han’s arrival in the slightest.
Su Han skipped the pleasantries and cut straight to the chase. "Uncle, what’s this about a fiancée? Why have I never heard anything about having a fiancée?"
Seeing Su Han’s reluctant expression, Emperor Jing smiled and shook his head. "You might not believe this, but even your Uncle only found out you had a fiancée today."
Su Han stared at him quietly. "You guessed right. I don’t believe you."
Emperor Jing was rendered speechless. *You aren’t playing by the rules at all!*
"Ahem." Coughing lightly to mask his embarrassment, Emperor Jing spoke in earnest. "Han, let your Uncle finish first. I really did only find out about your fiancée today. Word has it that the founding ancestor personally arranged this marriage for you back in the day. As for how an ancestor who passed away over a thousand years ago knew of your existence and arranged a marriage for you... your Uncle is just as baffled as you are."
"You don’t even know what’s going on yourself, yet you just believed them when they said the ancestor arranged it?" Su Han asked.
Emperor Jing shook his head. "I was also opposed to this marriage arrangement at first. But they brought out a token left behind by the ancestor, along with the marriage contract. It was all there in black and white, complete with the ancestor’s signature and thumbprint."
"So the ancestor explicitly wrote in black and white that this marriage was arranged for me?"
"Well, no," Emperor Jing admitted, shaking his head. "The ancestor wrote in black and white that as long as the bride’s side presented the marriage contract and the token, they could take their pick from any of the descendants of the imperial family."
Su Han looked at Emperor Jing and pondered for a couple of seconds. "Regardless of gender?"
Emperor Jing fell silent. The sudden change of direction in the conversation nearly gave the emperor whiplash. He stared at Su Han, utterly speechless.
*What kind of bizarre focus is that? I just said the bride’s side gets to pick. Why would you assume it’s regardless of gender?*
"Ahem, well... Han, the one holding the marriage contract is your fiancée..." Emperor Jing tried to convey that it was not a *fiancé*.
Su Han blinked. "So, is it restricted by gender?"
Emperor Jing paused. Thinking back to the marriage contract, the black and white text stated that the bride could pick anyone from the imperial family’s descendants. It really didn’t specify any gender restrictions.
However, whose ancestor would have as wild an imagination as this nephew of his, to even consider the possibility of it being ’regardless of gender’? If a woman came looking for a fiancé, was she going to pick another woman?
While grumbling internally, Emperor Jing nodded. "According to the marriage document... it doesn’t restrict gender."
Su Han decisively turned around and headed straight for the door.
"Han, where are you going?"
"To find Sister," Su Han replied without looking back.
Emperor Jing was stunned. After three seconds of thought, he understood what Su Han meant.
*F—* He didn’t dare say the word.
"Come back! Get back here right now!" Emperor Jing roared. *I only have one daughter! Are you trying to lead her down a path of no return?*
Su Han turned his head, blinked, and looked at Emperor Jing innocently. "Uncle, is there anything else?"
"You... you are not allowed to go find your Sister."
Su Han looked confused. "Why?"
"I only have one daughter!"
"I know."
"Then why are you..."
"I was going to ask Sister to step in and beat up all your other sons and nephews first," Su Han explained. "I want her to instruct them in advance so that when this girl arrives, they’ll all put their hearts into courting her! It wouldn’t be appropriate for you to handle this personally, right, Uncle?"
Emperor Jing stared at him blankly. *What the f... Is that what you meant?*
"Uncle, you didn’t misunderstand my intentions, did you?"
*SMACK!*
Humiliated and furious, Emperor Jing slapped the back of Su Han’s head. "Bullshit! That’s exactly what I meant!"
