’Probably no one else. The war just ended not long ago, and Chief Bei is swamped.’

’Where would he find the time to deal with small fry like us?’

"Ah, forget him. Let’s go have some fun." Shi Feng waved his hand dismissively. They all felt some resentment toward this King.

After all, some of his past decisions had been pretty passive.

It was normal not to like him.

"Okay." Lin Jingjing nodded. Just then, Gu Kaiwen, who was next to her, held up his large blue screen in front of everyone, pointed to a thrilling amusement park on it, and said with a grin, "We’re doing this later!"

"I heard that if you complete the obstacle course competition, you can even win prize money." Gu Kaiwen rubbed his chin with a crafty grin. "You get 50,000 Star Coins for successfully completing it once. There are five of us, so let’s go grab 250,000 Star Coins!"

Fifty thousand per person was indeed a very attractive offer.

After leaving the mall, they headed straight for the amusement park. As soon as they arrived, they asked a staff member, "Where’s the obstacle course? We want to sign up for the competition."

The amusement park was raking it in with this obstacle course game. Although the entry fee was only fifty Star Coins, the sheer number of participants was overwhelming.

So far, not a single person had ever successfully completed the obstacle course.

"Do you still want to sign up?" the staff member asked lazily.

Some people would start to hesitate after hearing that, only to pay the Star Coins while still on the fence and then lose the competition in the very first stage.

"To register, just tap here," the staff member said, pointing to a code scanner nearby.

The group didn’t hesitate, placing their Star Rings directly on the scanner.

After five consecutive BEEPS, the staff member was taken aback. He hadn’t expected these five to pay so quickly, without the slightest hesitation.

Fifty Star Coins for a chance at fifty thousand... it was a tempting offer. Just then, a nearby staff member changed the prize from 50,000 to 100,000 Star Coins, upping the ante to attract more participants.

Lin Jingjing saw it and quickly asked, "Is that our prize money too?"

"Yes," the staff member nodded. "Anyone who succeeds gets 100,000 Star Coins."

Tempted by the Star Coins, everyone was fired up.

Lin Jingjing went first. She was incredibly agile, clearing the first stage in a few quick moves and reaching the second.

The onlookers watched Lin Jingjing move so quickly, and everyone started murmuring about whether the challenge’s difficulty had been lowered.

When Lin Jingjing dodged the incoming red projectiles and reached the finish line unscathed, everyone was stunned.

Chattering amongst themselves, everyone rushed to sign up. Watching several people in a row complete the course successfully, the amusement park staff also felt something was off and quickly cranked up the difficulty.

The five of them, Star Coins in hand, exchanged glances and started holding back their laughter. ’Making money this easily feels amazing!’

"I never thought we’d make money just by coming out for fun. So great." Shi Feng looked at his account balance, a smile never leaving his face.

"Hahaha, this is awesome!"

The group happily went off to enjoy other attractions. The roller coaster here was just like the real thing; the effects were so good they thought they were actually about to fly out of their seats and into the air.

The feeling of weightlessness left them hanging in suspense.

After a full day of fun, the group grew a bit bored and decided to head back. They had just walked out of the amusement park’s gate when someone called out to them.

"Lin Jingjing!"

"Gu Kaiwen!"

Hearing their names called, the group stopped and looked behind them.

They saw a young man standing there, his eyes fixed on the five of them, his face filled with excitement.

"You are?" Lin Jingjing asked after a moment of consideration. "Do I know you?"

The young man walked over, his voice filled with emotion. "That time at Hong Fei Park, you saved me."

"I’m Batulu!" Batulu quickly blurted out his name, hoping it would jog their memory.

But none of them recognized the name and simply shook their heads.

They had acted on instinct and never bothered to remember who they had saved.

Nor did they expect any form of repayment.

Seeing them all shake their heads, Batulu grew anxious.

"You really don’t remember?" Batulu asked urgently. "Ever since that day, I’ve been wanting to repay you for saving my life!"

"But I could never find you. Later, I saw you in a livestream and thought about looking for you at the First Corps."

"I never expected to run into you here today. I’m so lucky."

Batulu was the type to get friendly fast. As he spoke, he stepped in front of them and said with great earnestness, "Come on, let me treat you to a meal!"

"My family just opened a new restaurant, and the food is delicious!"

The five of them were reluctant. After all, they had only met this person once, even if they had saved his life.

’But we don’t know him!’

Lin Jingjing looked at his enthusiastic expression and said with a polite smile, "Thank you for the kind offer, but we have other things to take care of, so we’ll have to pass on dinner."

But Batulu wouldn’t let them leave just like that. He insisted on taking them to eat.

Hearing this, the group could only think that this was one sincere kid, offering to take them to his family’s shop and let them take whatever they wanted from new parts that cost thousands or even tens of thousands of Star Coins apiece.

’His family must be sitting on a mine.’

"No, thank you. The parts here are good enough," Shi Feng refused.

But Batulu just waved it off. "It’s fine. My family isn’t short on this little bit of money."

He even puffed out his chest and declared, "We have all kinds of parts, and the quality is excellent."
