SSS Awakening: Conquering Worlds with My Cupid System
Chapter 298: I Feel like I can Fly!
Silas stood from his chair with the expression of a man who had just been sentenced to something he did not understand. Kelvina waited beside him, trying very hard to look confident, though neither of them had any idea what they were doing.
They walked toward the dance floor together.
Behind them, Chloe remained seated, watching Silas disappear into the crowd with Kelvina, her expression unreadable for a moment. The moment they disappeared, the corner of her lips curled upward, and she quietly pulled out her phone.
She opened a group chat, and the chat was filled with messages from Silas's women. Chloe glanced toward the dance floor and started a live video. The screen immediately showed Silas and Kelvina standing awkwardly in the middle of the dance floor.
Chloe's smile widened.

Meanwhile, Silas and Kelvina were staring at each other awkwardly while the music continued to play. None of them knew how to dance.
"How do we start?" Silas asked, feeling a bit embarrassed.
"I don't know," Kelvina answered, not daring to look him in the eyes.
"You asked me to dance," Silas said, his voice gaining a deep tone, causing Kelvina to shiver.
"I know."
"And you don't know how?"
"I thought you knew."
"Great," Silas sighed dramatically, causing Kelvina to giggle nervously. They then attempted to move. Silas stepped left, and Kelvina stepped right, and almost collided, but they quickly corrected themselves.
They both stepped forward at the same time, and almost collided again. Silas quickly stepped backward, and Kelvina did the same. They stared at one another and burst out laughing.
Across the room, Chloe's phone screen filled with messages. Anna's reaction appeared first.
[Anna: WHAT IS HAPPENING?!]
[Gromda: Who is that woman?]
[Echidna: Why is Silas dancing with another female?]
Chloe just kept recording, not bothering to answer them. She couldn't answer anyway, as she was recording. She was having far too much fun.

On the dance floor, Silas and Kelvina continued their disaster, as neither possessed any real dancing ability. They tried copying the couples around them, and that only made things worse.
Silas attempted a turn, but Kelvina turned the wrong way, causing them to nearly lose their balance. Silas caught her hand, allowing her to steady herself. For a second, they only stood there holding hands.
Then Kelvina laughed again.
"Maybe we're terrible at this."
"Definitely," Silas said, smiling.
They tried again, and slowly, something changed. They stopped trying to imitate everyone else, and instead, they found a rhythm of their own. It wasn't particularly elegant, nor was it impressive, but it worked.
Their steps gradually synchronized.
Kelvina followed Silas's movements, while he began matching her pace. Soon, they were moving comfortably across the floor, and none of them noticed the growing number of people watching them.
The surrounding dancers had begun drifting away from their immediate area, not because Silas and Kelvina were bad. It was quite the opposite.
There was something strangely captivating about them.
The two had started awkwardly, but now they moved with an effortless rhythm. Kelvina's long braids swayed behind her with every step, while Silas's white coat followed his movements, reflecting the chandelier lights.
Their eyes met repeatedly- they smiled, laughed, and looked completely comfortable together. Silas eventually glanced at her and asked.
"Why did you do that?"
"Do what?" Kelvina's expression softened.
"Come all the way over there and ask me to dance." She looked away. "There were hundreds of people here."
"I know."
"There are plenty of men who would have said yes."
"I know that too."
Silas studied her and asked.
"So why me?"
Kelvina remained quiet. For a moment, only the music filled the space between them. Then she smiled. It was a beautiful smile- warm and almost innocent, but something flashed behind her eyes. For less than a second, her pupils narrowed into slits, which Silas didn't notice.
Kelvina leaned slightly closer.
"I think I'm your greatest fan."
"My greatest fan?" Silas muttered in confusion.
"Yes."
"That's a pretty bold claim." He laughed softly.
"I mean it."
"You barely know me."
"I know enough."
They continued dancing. Silas then looked at her curiously.
"What exactly do you know?"
Kelvina thought about it before answering, "You're strange."
"That's not exactly flattering."
"It's not an insult." She smiled. "You're powerful, but you don't act like you need everyone to know it. You're surrounded by people, but you don't seem interested in impressing them. You can be ridiculous one moment and terrifying the next."
Silas raised an eyebrow.
"Terrifying?"
"Very." She laughed. "But I like that."
Silas shook his head.
"You really are strange."
"I've been told."
They continued talking, and soon the conversation became surprisingly easy. They discussed the tournament, City AF, the banquet, and their experiences during the day.
Kelvina asked about Valecrest, and Silas asked about West Town Saints. And none of them realized how close they had gradually become, nor did they notice the dozens of eyes watching them, the phones being raised around the room, and the whispers spreading through the banquet hall.
"Isn't that Silas?"
"Yeah."
"Who's the girl?"
"West Town Saints, I think."
"Are they together?"
"They look like it."
"When did that happen?"
"I thought he was with Chloe."
"He is."
"Then who's she?"
The whispers multiplied. Some people looked toward Chloe, only to be rendered shocked when they saw what she was doing. A few glanced between Alpha and Alicia, apparently trying to figure out whether they knew what was happening.
Meanwhile, Chloe's phone continued streaming everything. The group chat had descended into absolute chaos.
[Anna: CHLOE!]
[Anna: EXPLAIN!]
[Gromda: I am going to City AF.]
[Echidna: Who is she?]
Chloe covered her mouth, suppressing a laugh as she zoomed the camera slightly.
On the dance floor, Silas gently guided Kelvina through another turn. Kelvina laughed as her braids swept through the air, while Silas smiled. They continued talking as though they were the only two people in the room.
From the outside, it looked intimate- far too intimate, causing the whispers to grow louder.
"Silas has another woman."
"Already?"
"Apparently."
"Didn't he just arrive in City AF?"
"Apparently that's all the time he needs."
"Who is she?"
"Someone from West Town Saints."
"Is she his new girlfriend?"
Nobody had an answer, but rumors rarely needed answers. Within minutes, the story had already begun spreading throughout the banquet. Silas Ashard had apparently found another woman, and neither Silas nor Kelvina had the slightest idea that an entire hall was watching them.
Kelvina in particular was already exclaiming to Silas.
"I feel like I can fly!"
"I can, though..."
"You can?"
"Kidding."
