Chapter 56: Chapter 57: Did Dorian Kessler Come Because of Nathaniel?!

Everyone understood what a Level 400 Pillar represented.

Anyone who could establish a connection with Dorian Kessler would see their status and influence in Westmere rise.

However, despite all the flattery, Dorian’s expression remained unchanged.

He simply looked at Edmund Sterling.

"Where is Nathaniel Beaumont?"

A single question brought every voice to an abrupt stop.

The smiles on everyone’s faces froze.

Nathaniel Beaumont?

Dorian Kessler had just arrived in Westmere.

He hadn’t asked about the city’s defenses, the dungeon rift, or the aftermath of the traitor’s attack.

His first question was about Nathaniel?

Edmund was also stunned for a moment.

But he quickly recovered.

"Nathaniel should be inside a dungeon right now."

"After handling matters related to his family’s trading consortium today, he returned to leveling up."

Dorian nodded.

"Then where does he live?"

Edmund was taken aback.

"Is Senior Kessler planning to visit the Beaumont estate?"

Dorian replied calmly.

"Yes."

"I’ll wait for him there."

Everyone around them was dumbfounded.

A Level 400 powerhouse.

Westmere’s newly appointed Pillar.

He actually intended to wait for Nathaniel at his own home?

What kind of treatment was this?

And what did it mean?

Edmund hesitated before speaking.

"Senior Kessler, how about the City Lord’s Mansion holds a welcome banquet for you first?"

"Once Nathaniel leaves the dungeon, I’ll inform him and ask him to come see you."

Dorian shook his head.

"There’s no need."

"I’ll wait at his home."

His tone was calm, but there was no room for discussion.

Edmund’s heart stirred. He didn’t dare try to persuade him again.

"Understood."

"I’ll take you there now."

The people around them were speechless.

They had originally believed Dorian Kessler was simply the Pillar sent by the authorities to fill Westmere’s vacancy.

But things didn’t seem so simple now.

A Level 400 powerhouse had arrived in Westmere and immediately asked about Nathaniel.

He was even willing to skip the welcome banquet at the City Lord’s Mansion just to wait for Nathaniel at his home.

What did this mean?

Could it be that Dorian hadn’t come because of Westmere?

Had he come because of Nathaniel?

"Could Senior Kessler have been transferred to Westmere because of Nathaniel?"

Someone asked in a trembling voice.

An elderly family representative swallowed.

"That’s very likely."

"But who exactly is Nathaniel Beaumont?"

"Perhaps the people and forces behind him are already beyond our understanding."

As soon as those words were spoken, everyone fell silent.

Indeed.

They knew Nathaniel was an SSS-Rank first-advancement professional.

But until Dorian Kessler appeared, they hadn’t realized how little they knew about Nathaniel’s true background.

The level of power he was connected to might already be far beyond anything the families and commercial organizations of Westmere could imagine.

...

One hour later.

At the headquarters of the Rowan Trading Consortium.

Inside the conference room, Caleb Rowan sat in his seat, still somewhat dazed.

Before him were the senior members of the Rowan Trading Consortium.

Under normal circumstances, this meeting should have been his toughest battle.

Yet the atmosphere inside the room was now strange.

The three most influential Level 200-plus professionals in the Rowan Trading Consortium had all taken his side.

The head of the Security Department spoke slowly.

"I support Young Master Caleb."

A burly middle-aged man also spoke in a deep voice.

"The Rowan Trading Consortium should naturally remain under the control of the Rowan family’s direct lineage."

"Whatever Young Master Caleb decides, we old fellows should support him."

Finally, a woman wearing black battle armor spoke coldly.

"Starting today, if anyone tries to strip Caleb of his authority under the name of the board of directors, I’ll be the first to object."

As those three statements rang out, the entire conference room fell silent.

The senior executives who had prepared to force Caleb to surrender even more authority all changed their expressions.

Caleb almost suspected he had heard them wrong.

Someone couldn’t help asking.

"Three senior officers, isn’t this a little sudden?"

The head of the Security Department glanced at him.

"Sudden?"

"You probably still don’t know what happened tonight, do you?"

The man was taken aback.

The head of the Security Department slowly explained.

"Westmere has a new Pillar."

"Dorian Kessler. A Level 400 powerhouse."

The conference room instantly erupted.

"Level 400?"

"A new Pillar?"

"The authorities transferred a Level 400 powerhouse to Westmere?"

"How is that possible?"

"Why would someone of that level come to a city like ours?"

Caleb also raised his head.

Level 400?

A powerhouse of that level had actually arrived in Westmere?

But before everyone could recover from the shock, the burly middle-aged man’s next words made their scalps tingle.

"After Dorian Kessler arrived in Westmere, the first thing he asked about wasn’t the city’s defenses."

"Nor was it the City Lord’s Mansion."

"He asked where Nathaniel Beaumont was."

"Then he went to the Beaumont estate."

"He’s personally waiting for Nathaniel to leave the dungeon."

BOOM!

This time, the entire conference room erupted.

"What?!"

"A Level 400 Pillar is personally waiting for Nathaniel?"

"At the Beaumont estate?"

"How can that be?"

"Didn’t Nathaniel only awaken recently?"

"What exactly has he done?"

The woman in black armor spoke in a cold voice.

"Isn’t the answer obvious?"

"Dorian Kessler’s arrival in Westmere is very likely connected to Nathaniel."

Everyone froze.

Caleb sat in his chair, his mind blank.

Earlier that day, he had personally witnessed Nathaniel suppress the entire Beaumont Trading Consortium’s senior management.

At the time, he had already felt that Nathaniel had reached a height he could no longer hope to reach.

But now, he realized that his imagination had still been far too limited.

Nathaniel hadn’t even appeared.

Yet the arrival of a Level 400 powerhouse connected to him had already changed the balance of power inside the Rowan Trading Consortium.

Caleb had expected to fight a difficult battle that night.

He had prepared for negotiations, arguments, exchanges of benefits, and even humiliation.

But now, the three strongest professionals in the organization had taken his side.

Those who had opposed him no longer dared to speak.

They were afraid.

Afraid that Caleb’s relationship with Nathaniel was too close.

Afraid that a single word from Nathaniel could destroy the influence they had spent years building.

Inside the conference room, the senior executives who had prepared to make things difficult for Caleb lowered their heads one after another.

"I agree with Young Master Caleb’s proposal."

"So do I."

"The Rowan Trading Consortium does need to be reorganized."

"Some of our old arrangements should indeed be changed."

"Young Master Caleb was wise to establish a relationship with Nathaniel Beaumont in advance!"

Voices continued to rise.

No one dared object anymore.

Caleb looked at the scene before him, his feelings complicated.

He had won.

Yet it didn’t feel as though he had been the one to win.

Nathaniel hadn’t even made a move.

The difficult problem had already been settled from a distance.

Caleb slowly clenched his fists and muttered.

"Nathaniel..."

"Just how far have you gone?"

...

Eight o’clock in the evening.

Westmere Professional Center, Dungeon Lobby.

A beam of light slowly appeared.

The next second, Nathaniel stepped out of the teleportation array.

Administrator Lucas Bennett had been waiting outside for some time.

The moment he saw Nathaniel, he immediately approached.

"My Lord."

Nathaniel nodded.

Then he glanced at his level.

[Level: 103]

He let out a quiet sigh.

"I spent the entire day clearing dungeons and only reached Level 103."
