Chapter 51 | Back To The Real World!
Chapter 51: 51 | Back To The Real World!
Monica tried to scream, to move closer but the pressure of multiple level 30 Silver rank Ultras was too terrifying for anyone to move.
But Andrew wasn’t resigned to die yet. Not here.
Just as they prepared to attack and Andrew was about to activate all his trump cards and every single one of his bloodlines together—
"BOOM!!"
A far more terrifying aura descended.
It came from above and the sky seem to split apart like the wrath of a god descending to earth.
The atmosphere literally froze and even the wing became still, unmoving, as if time itself had stopped. The killing intent that had been pressing down on Andrew vanished instantly, crushed beneath the weight of this new presence.
The parents who were about to attack felt the pressure descend and land against them with force. It was like invisible weights had been dropped onto their shoulders, pushing them down, making it hard to breathe, or move.
Several of them staggered, their faces going pale. One of them actually dropped to one knee, unable to withstand the pressure.
Principal Harrison appeared directly above Andrew in the air.
He was simply standing there, aura farming like he was a clone of Piccolo, standing on nothing, but air.
His white jacket fluttered in a breeze that didn’t exist and his eyes were terrifyingly cold.
But his expression was utterly calm and indifferent, as if the chaos unfolding below him was of no more interest than two ant colonies fighting over a crumb.
His cold eyes swept across the furious crowd.
"What..." he pasued as his eyes swept over the furious crowd.
...is the meaning of this?"
His voice though spoke softly rang out through the entire stadium as his pressure enveloped every single on in the stadium.
The enraged parents instantly paled and the anger that overwhelmed them vanished instantly.
No one dared to move.
No one dared to speak.
The Principal slowly looked toward Andrew, whose body was still bleeding heavily from the chest wound.
"Medic," the Principal called out.
"Immediately."
Without another word, he waved his hand.
Andrew’s vision suddenly went dark. He didn’t feel himself fall as he lost consciousness.
The medical team caught him and carried his body away, disappearing from the stadium alongside the Principal.
Leaving behind a stadium filled with terrified silence.
---
When Andrew regained consciousness, he was greeted by a pleasant smell of jasmine.
He slowly opened his eyes. But realized he only had one left.
The room around him could be said to be white but not white, brown but also not brown.
Monitors beeped softly beside him, tracking his vital signs. An IV drip was attached to his arm, feeding him fluids and nutrients.
The deep wound across his chest had already closed, leaving behind only a faint scar.
A healer with a high-grade healing talent had probably healed his injury.
But he knew the one reason he was alive was the [Diamond Heart] talent. His heart was literally now made of diamond and would be hard to stab through it without the power of a Gold-Rank Ultra.
He felt someone inhale beside him and he turned.
Sitting beside his bed...
Monica.
She had fallen asleep while holding his hand tightly,
Her head was resting on the edge of the mattress, her blonde hair spilling across the white sheets like a river of gold.
Her fingers were intertwined with his, and was gripped tightly.
Andrew looked down at her sleeping face before sighing quietly.
He almost died.
He still had the terrifying bloodline healing skill of his Magus bloodline but the price was one hundred years of lifespan.
A cost he simply could not afford.
As for his eyes, he would simply need to transform to his Titan form, absorb sunlight and it would regenerate.
So he could temporarily live with the scar till he enters Heaven’s Domain.
As for the man that almost killed him, Andrew ’s eyes turned cold. He remembered his face clearly. In two months, he’s taking his reveng.
--
Meanwhile...
Inside the Principal Constance’s office...
The room was large and imposing, decorated with trophies from a long and distinguished career. Bookshelves lined the walls, filled with volumes on cultivation theory, combat techniques, and the history of Maryland City.
A massive desk dominated the center of the space, made from dark wood that had been polished to a mirror shine.
Three powerful men sat across from Principal Harrison.
The atmosphere was suffocating.
Each represented Maryland City’s seven wealthiest and most influential families. They were dressed in expensive suits, their face painted in anger.
Two of them had lost their biological sons inside the Beginner Village. Their children were dead, killed by Andrew’s hands, and they wanted revenge.
It was as simple as that.
The man in their middle, who seemed to be their leader, was Arian’s father. Cain Crimson of the Crimson family. The third-rank family in Maryland’s seven famous families.
Maryland City possessed one school, three guilds , and seven main families. These families were the backbone of the city’s power structure, their children filling the ranks of the Elite and Supernal classes of the academy.
Only his son had managed to survive the massacre, and only because he was a Godscion. Arian had a sponsor, who could reach across dimensions and pull him to safety when death was imminent. It was a privilege that ordinary players didn’t have, a symbol of the gap between the masses and the chosen few.
Otherwise... Arian too would have been dead.
The room was silent for a long moment. The three men stared at Principal Harrison, who sat calmly behind his desk, his expression unreadable.
Finally, one of the patriarchs slammed his hand onto the desk like a gunshot.
"Principal Harrison," he said, his voice laced with fury. "We demand that Andrew be handed over immediately."
"He murdered our fellow students," the second man added, his voice cold and precise.
"He assaulted an elder," the first man continued.
"He’s the son of a traitor," Cain Crimson spoke in a thick voice.
His cold eyes narrowed as he leaned forward slightly. "Years ago, his father betrayed this city by opening a spatial rift that nearly destroyed part of Maryland City. Now his son has proven that the blood of a traitor still flows through his veins."
Another family head sneered. "He entered the Beginner Village as an ordinary student. So tell us... How does someone like him suddenly become powerful enough to slaughter twenty students? He’s definitely working for the Demon gods and has become a Devil Acolyte."
Principal Constance eyes narrowed. "You had better think before speaking."
The room fell deathly silent because with the words ’Devil Acolyte’ you could actually lose your life!
