Chapter 52 | Devil Acolyte & Information About A Secret Realm

Chapter 52: 52 | Devil Acolyte & Information About A Secret Realm

Principal Constance eyes narrowed. "You had better think before speaking."

The room fell deathly silent.

Devil Acolytes are people who worship the ancient demon gods residing within Heaven’s domain.

These people couldn’t be called monsters anymore but real devils. And for two terrifying reasons, they can kill murder their entire family for the sake of power. Killing children and using their blood and bones to make alters for the demon gods to descend.

In Heaven’s domain, there are rumors that bit contains 9 heavens housing the celestial beings, there are also rumors it contained 9 hells, imprisonjng the 9 demon gods.

There’s even a joke running around that even psychopaths steer clear of Devil Acolytes because they are too demonic and terrifying.

At least psychopaths do bad things for selfish reasons, Devil Acolytes kill and slaughter because a demon god said so.

They are extremely devout, cunning and live like normal humans until the devil god speaks to them. Just like sleeper agents.

If anyone is remotely suspected of being a devil acolyte, they will be killed without mercy. But if you dare accuse an innocent of being a devil worshipper, they will be imprisoned by for life.

Therefore the topic concerning Devil Acolytes are considered dangerous.

The family head who spoke felt slightly flustered. Even with his wealth he would be imprisoned if word got out.

He cleared his throat and change the topic. "Hand over Andrew to us."

Every pair of eyes focused on the Principal. Waiting for his answer.

Principal Constant leaned back in his chair, his sharp eyes sweeping across the three family heads seated before him with a calm gaze without being the least bit flustered.

"So long as Andrew remains a student of my academy," he said slowly "he remains under my protection."

The room immediately fell silent. And everyone’s face changed.

Cain Constance immediately rose up and a powerful aura rivaling that of principal erupted from behind him.

Principal Constance softly swung his chair left to right playfully then stretched out his hand.

"Sit your ass down, Cain."

A meter long finger conjured of pure energy formed behind Family Head Cain and Pressed down on him, making him sit down down.

"Unity of Heaven and man, You’re in the Infinitum Realm."

Family Head Cain’s eyes narrowed and the two other family head paled in their seat.

"Y- You’ve actually stepped into that realm!?"

Principal Constance smiled. "Come come, there’s no need to be intimidated, I’m merely showing off. I’m not that close to that realm yet."

The two family heads sighed in relief because if he truly was, the power dynamic in the city would crumble.

Only Family Head Cain seem to not believe him.

"Now as we were saying, as long as he stands on academy grounds, none of you will lay a finger on him." Hw said this with a smile and didn’t even leak out an aura.

"And just as I do not interfere with those under your protection within your own territories, i hope you will not interfere with mine." His eyes narrowed,

"Do we have an understanding?"

The two family heads exchanged glances. They were angry—furious, even—but they weren’t stupid. They knew what Principal Constant was capable of. He was the dean for over 20 years for a reason.

"...Agreed," one of them said reluctantly.

But Cain Crimson, the crimson-haired man from the Crimson family, clenched his fists tightly.

"Then tell us, Principal Constant. How do you intend to resolve this matter?"

The Principal sighed before folding his hands together. "There will be a Monthly Tournament one week from now. Andrew will participate."

The three men remained expressionless, though their eyes sharpened.

"It will be a tournament governed by life-and-death rules. No restrictions. No interference. If your families wish to have every one of your descendants gang up against him..." He shrugged. "That is your choice."

A cruel smile appeared on one patriarch’s face. This was more like it. This was something they could work with.

"But," Principal Constant continued, "Andrew might claim injury to escape the tournament. And as a principal, I cannot force an injured student who almost died to attend the tournament."

The other two families gritted their teeth and clenched their fists in anger. "Are you toying with us, Constance?" one of them demanded.

Principal Constance’s face turned cold. "Do you think I’m that jobless to toy with you old fuckers?"

The two patriarchs flinched Mr. Crimson glanced at them, and they immediately kept quiet, their faces red with humiliation.

He then turned to Principal Constance, his expression more measured than the others’. "What do you want?"

"Now you’re talking." The principal leaned backward and smiled. "You three families will each contribute treasures suitable for his cultivation. If he survives, those rewards will be distributed amongst the top three."

The room instantly became quiet as they contemplated the matter. They were far too smart to know that this was a hostage release demand.

The Principal wanted them to provide rewards for Andrew—if he survived, those rewards would go to the tournament’s top performers. If he died, the families would get their revenge, and the rewards would be distributed anyway.

One of the elders frowned. "So you expect us to lose our treasures and leave him alone if he survives the tournament?"

Principal Constant smiled faintly. "Which is why I have another proposal. There is a certain..." He paused, letting the tension build. "...secret dimension."

The three family heads stiffened. Their expressions changed instantly.

"You know about it?" one of them asked, his voice careful.

Principal Constant simply smiled.

"You discovered it together years ago and is jointly owned by your three families, contains mountains of treasures and is also largely unexplored."

Silence filled the room as the three patriarchs exchanged glances. This was their secret—one of their most closely guarded secrets, a hidden dimension that only they knew about, a source of treasures and opportunities that gave them an edge over their rivals.

And the Principal knew about it. If they refuse, Principal Constance would likely tell the other main families and then it would be shored by everyone.

Finally, one of them nodded. "...Continue."
