Chapter 95 | Iron-Hide Beast
Chapter 95: 95 | Iron-Hide Beast
After successfully hunting the Iron Fang Rabbit, John placed its corpse in his storage tomb and the six of them resumed moving deeper into the forest.
Andrew was slightly stunned when he was ten storage ring. At the store, he had seen the storage ring and he didn’t dare to even dream of buying it when he saw the price.
A space of 100 cubic meters actually cost about 100 million dollars. The more space it has, the more expensive it became.
His eyes flashed as he thought. ’Can’t wait to get my hands on one and upgrade it to the hugest tier. Maybe it would transform into an entire world instead of just a storage ring?’
Once the thought came, it couldn’t be surpressed. He calmed himself down and made plans to first sell some upgraded items and earn enough to purchase the ring and then upgrade it to the highest tier.
Also, he was running low on investment points. Afterall he had spent more than he expected to spend turning Monica into his Godscion.
Of course he didn’t regret it one bit. He’s only complaining randomly to fill up his thoughts.
The atmosphere had relaxed slightly after their first successful battle, but nobody lowered their guard. This was still the Frontier Continent and a single mistake here could end in death if not just one person but even all of them.
Andrew remained in the center of the formation as the group advanced carefully through the dense woodland. His expression, however, gradually turned serious.
Silently, his Omniscient Perception activated.
The invisible wave of awareness spread outward. One kilometer. Two kilometers. Three kilometers. Every living thing within that radius entered his awareness like dots on a map.
Then his eyes narrowed.
Directly ahead, about seven hundred meters from their current position, a dangerous group had appeared. Andrew focused harder. The details became clearer. His heartbeat slowed.
There were nearly twelve creatures gathered together. Massive bodies, humanoid posture, dense muscles. Their dark metallic skin reflected the sunlight. Long arms dragged against the ground. Their fists alone looked capable of crushing steel.
Andrew immediately recognized them. Iron-Armed Monkeys. Level 15 to 25 beasts. And worst of all, they were a pack species.
Andrew’s face changed slightly. For John and the others, this was manageable. But for him, this was dangerous. Very dangerous. A single direct hit from the level 25 creature at that level might kill him instantly.
The team continued walking. They unknowingly moved closer and closer toward the monkeys’ territory. Andrew silently kept measuring the distance. Three hundred meters. Two hundred meters. One hundred fifty meters.
The moment they reached approximately one hundred and twenty meters, Andrew suddenly spoke. "Wait."
Instantly, everyone froze. The reaction speed of Devil Rage Team was absurd. Weapons were drawn immediately. Michael shifted forward protectively. Lucy turned toward the trees behind them. Klen began forming a spell circle. Jasmine crouched slightly like a predator preparing to strike.
John slowly turned toward Andrew. His expression was serious. "What is it?"
Andrew stared toward the dense forest ahead. His fake talent, Zoomable Eyes, activated. At least, that was what everyone thought. He pointed toward the northwest.
"One hundred and twenty meters ahead. There’s a pack of beasts."
John’s expression sharpened. "What kind?"
Andrew answered immediately. "Level 15 to 25. Iron-Armed Monkeys."
The moment those words left his mouth, everyone’s expression changed. Lucy immediately cursed under her breath.
Michael’s playful expression vanished.
Jasmine stopped smiling. Even Klen’s face became extremely serious.
Iron-Armed Monkeys were notorious. Unlike many beasts, they hunted in coordinated groups. They were aggressive, fast, strong, and extremely territorial.
John clenched his sword tightly. "How many?"
Andrew focused. "Twelve."
The team fell silent.
John immediately began calculating. Twelve monsters, even for experienced Silver Rank hunters, that was troublesome.
He was about to speak when suddenly Andrew’s eyes widened. His Omniscient Perception detected movement. Fast movement. Extremely fast. Something had already noticed them, and it was coming straight toward them.
Andrew’s voice exploded instantly. "INCOMING!"
The moment he shouted, the expressions of everyone changed drastically. Andrew pointed sharply toward the right side. "There!"
A dark blur shot out from the forest. It moved like a cannonball. The trees behind it exploded apart from the sheer force. The beast had already crossed over fifty meters in an instant. Massive, fast, violent.
One of the monkeys had attacked first.
Its body was over three meters tall and its skin looked like dark iron plating instead of normal flesh and fur. Its arms were oversized and its fists were as large as a vehicle’s tires.
"Roooar!"
The beast let out a massive roared as it swung one massive arm toward Andrew’s position. It had chosen the weakest member to attack first and the weakest ember was of course, Andrew!
However, John moved.
The ground beneath his feet exploded. In a flash, John appeared directly in front of Andrew. His fist pulled backward. Muscles bulged violently. Then he punched forward.
"KA-BOOM!"
The collision sounded like two trucks crashing together as shockwaves exploded outward in a circular ripple.Leaves scattered everywhere.
The monkey let out a muffled cry. Its gigantic body was launched backward like a missile as It smashed through several trees before crashing violently into the forest.
Everyone immediately shifted formation.
John’s expression became deadly serious. He stared toward the forest.
"No one relax." His grip tightened around his weapon. "Looks like..." He paused.
Then dozens of red eyes slowly began appearing between the trees. One pair. Two pairs. Five pairs. Ten pairs. Then more.
The entire forest suddenly became silent.
Andrew slowly tightened his grip around his sword. His heart began pounding faster.
The entire monkey pack had arrived.
John inhaled slowly. Then gave the command. "Battle formation."
Michael stepped forward and slammed both gauntlets together. Lucy unsheathed both blades. Klen began drawing multiple spell circles. Jasmine rolled her shoulders excitedly.
Andrew stood in the center. His eyes scanned everything with narrowed eyes.
The battle was going to be really intense.
