SSS-Rank Lord Supreme: The Ultimate Devourer

Chapter 64: THE ULTIMATE DEVOURER SYSTEM (2)

Just like the rest of the cavern, it was rough.

The whole place seemed to be a naturally formed domain.

But when he considered the fact that the legacy of the Ancient Supreme had also looked this way.

And how it had been placed in such a natural domain too.

He realized that appearances could truly be deceiving.

He walked inside.

Unlike the cavern which was well lit by the glowing stones in its roof.

The inside of the passageway was much dimmer.

It looked no different from a tunnel.

There were also glowing stones in its walls.

But they were much dimmer and scattered.

It was quiet as he entered, but not for long.

The people who followed behind him weren’t silent.

He turned his head to look behind him.

There were Kotil, Tukitan and Samath.

Suren also followed right behind them.

The F-Rank cultivators of their forces also weren’t far behind.

There seemed to be even more people coming, but Neo no longer cared.

He continued forward.

His mind was sharp and alert.

He was half expecting something to jump out of the walls.

He had skimmed through the book, Humba had left for them.

He knew that soon, anytime from now.

The strange creatures of this domain would start appearing.

They would be weak at first.

But the deeper into the domain they went, the stronger they would become.

At one point, only limit breakers might be able to continue forward.

His hand darted forward.

It clenched around the neck of a strange creature.

It had jumped at him from the wall.

That single clench crushed its neck into stone shards.

The head fell, separated from its body.

It was the same with the body.

It crashed onto the floor.

He looked at the people behind him.

His attention focused on the normal F-Rank cultivators.

The time for them to get to work had come now.

He didn’t say anything.

But the limit breakers got the hint.

They knew why they had brought their people here.

To train them and more importantly, to have them harvest the riloma.

They needed a lot of it.

The more hands they could get on the job, the better.

The F-Rank cultivators went forward to clear the way.

These weak strange creatures that were appearing now didn’t need the limit breakers to deal with them.

The tunnel became wider, the deeper they moved into the domain.

There was more than enough space for everyone to do their thing, without getting in another’s way.

The number of strange creatures that were appearing also increased.

Their strength had also increased, but it was nothing drastic.

They had stopped moving forward now.

There were simply too many strange creatures in this part of the tunnel.

While the F-Rank cultivators tried their best to clear them.

Neo had become the center of attention.

All the limit breakers had their eyes on him, but he wasn’t concerned about them.

His mind dwelled on more important thoughts.

Like what was happening with Devour.

When he had crushed that strange creature just now.

The same thing that happened with the strange creatures he had destroyed, when he returned, happened again.

Then, he had felt Devour consume something from them.

But he hadn’t known what it was.

The move he had used at that time was too strong.

It left nothing behind.

But just now, when he crushed the neck of that strange creature.

He had been able to observe it well.

Nothing seemed to be missing from it.

Not even the riloma.

Whatever Devour had consumed, it was far deeper than anything he could observe.

What had the Ancient Supreme fed it?

Whatever it was, it seemed to be the best tonic for Devour.

Now, one of his worries had been relieved.

Devour could consume whatever it wanted, at anytime now.

It was really convenient for the quick growth he had planned.

Another strange creature jumped at him.

He didn’t bother moving this time.

The strange creature turned into dust.

Only the riloma remained.

It fell to the ground.

One of the F-Rank cultivators picked it up.

He was on his way to go deposit the riloma in the place where they were gathering it.

The riloma was like a solid round red stone when taken from the bodies of the strange creatures.

But when placed together with others like it, it turned into a liquid.

Neo looked at the liquid that almost filled the stone bucket.

It was white.

But as he took a careful look, he could see some hint of blue in it.

It was just a trace of blue, but it was still there.

Creating a stone bucket had been easy enough.

They were cultivators, and there was an abundance of materials.

A commotion broke out where the F-Rank cultivators were dealing with the strange creatures.

A new strange creature had appeared.

It was different from the others.

Unlike the stone-like body of the normal strange creatures.

This one had the luster of a gem.

Its body was red.

It wasn’t the only one that appeared, more followed behind it.

Neo shook himself from his state of rest.

These looked like opponents that might be worth him making a move.

He wasn’t the only one in the mood for a battle.

The others also got ready.

The F-Rank cultivators slowly moved back.

Neo was the first to attack.

He became a blur.

His body smashed into the leading strange creature.

There was a deafening boom.

Every strange creature near it turned into dust.

With that single move, Neo stopped the limit breakers in their tracks.

They were stunned.

He had destroyed more than ten limit breakers in just one move.

In their minds, they slowly labeled him as a monster.

Neo didn’t bother to continue the fight.

These strange creatures were just too weak.

He walked to one side.

He watched as the other limit breakers fought the strange creatures.

They were struggling to deal with such weak creatures.

Neo found their battle uninteresting.

He was about to look away, when a screen appeared in his sight.

His mind became alert.

He wondered what it was, that was happening now.

The common net had already been deactivated, the moment they entered the domain.

It seemed this domain could also isolate them from the Immortal World.

Just like some places in the true outlands could.

A fact Neo found interesting.

The screen flickered.

Switching between different chaotic colors.

He carefully observed.

Then the screen suddenly stopped flickering.

It became black.

Nothing moved.

He thought that was all, and everything would go back to normal.

Then, he saw four words appeared.

Four words that almost made him question the state of his mind.

THE ULTIMATE DEVOURER SYSTEM.
