Chapter 1921: Negotiation (II)
Chapter 1921: Negotiation (II)
“The Exalted Myriad Changes Emperor...” Li Hao murmured. “He created mirage realms in various parts of the chaos to facilitate exchange and discourse. The dao of a myriad changes... A wandering cultivator should retain have a dao domain after ascension.
“Perhaps he’s creating his own domain of dao rules in creating these mirages. He probably wants to collect some dao comprehension.”
Wan Qiu’s expression changed slightly upon hearing this.
“And you guys in charge of the mirage realms can also listen in on the lectures. Everyone’s benefiting from this arrangement...” continued Li Hao.
Wan Qiu continued to remain silent. That was true. There weren’t that many altruistic people in the world to create places like these, exerting themselves to all this time and effort for no payback.
When exalted emperors visited the Myriad Dao Pavilion and discussed dao, managers such as Wan Qiu and the creator Myriad Changes all benefited. They could listen in on the discussions and take advantage of collective wisdom. This was the key to them improving.
Li Hao suddenly raising this point made her think more on this matter. Was he displeased because she’d been listening to his lecture earlier? And so wished to take her to task for it?
“But in the same vein, there are some drawbacks to this arrangement,” Li Hao changed tack. “For example, the range that this covers is too small. There are only 189 alliance cities out there and maybe less than half that have a Myriad Dao Pavilion.
“If there are too few people in attendance, people might not be willing to exchange knowledge. Gathering people together is also a hassle. The chaos is too big, people cannot always be traveling to the alliance cities.
“Mid and low ranks also can’t travel very far. In reality, everyone comes and goes, but it’s always the same people at the end, correct?”
“That’s correct.” Wan Qiu paused before nodding. “It’s just as the senior says, the restrictions are apparent when time drags on. It’s mostly nearby exalted emperors that come these days. Although their identities are hidden, people can generally make educated guesses once they start lecturing.
“The chaos is vast, yet also dangerous to us when we depart from the confines of a world. Therefore...”
It was mostly exalted emperors in the area that usually came. That was fine for a year or two, but when it was the same faces for one hundred, one thousand, ten thousand years... Well, everyone was highly familiar with each other.
Even new exalted emperors born in the area were known faces. There wasn’t much interaction between them.
“Then have you ever considered connecting all of the mirage realms?” asked Li Hao.
Wan Qiu’s jaw dropped and she took a second before saying awkwardly, “Well, the Exalted Myriad Changes Emperor once considered it, but the senior also knows that the chaos is too vast... It would require endless dao universes.
“If we want all of the dao universes to run throughout the mirage realms... how many would that be? It would require all of the high rank worlds joining hands if we are to extend throughout the eastern region!
“It is just a flight of fancy for us, one that cannot come true.”
She was much more uncomplimentary, internally speaking. Seriously, what’s going through your head? You’re a high rank too, how do you not understand this? Sure we can connect them. We just need countless high rank worlds and extend their dao universes to form one coherent entity.
Is that ever going to happen?
Absolutely not!
“So this means that the Exalted Myriad Changes Emperor and the alliance of mid worlds has this idea in mind?” laughed Li Hao.
Wan Qiu didn't know what to say. Of course we do! Who doesn’t know that enlarging the range of the mirage realms will enhance our exchanges and attract more exalted emperors to join us?
The key was, they’d only dared daydream about it.
The sixth rank was rather resigned that her visitor kept asking useless questions, but she couldn’t demonstrate any attitude.
“Of course we’ve had similar notions,” she forced a smile onto her face. “But they are very hard to materialize. And even if we do, it is very hard for the mental entities within the mirage realms to move...”
Li Hao nodded, it was all because the range of such an idea was too big.
“Fair enough,” he nodded. “But it wouldn’t be hard if we build transportation formations within the mirage realms. It’s hard enough to transport in reality, since that requires breaking through the suppression of the chaos. That’s not relevant when we only have to transport mental entities.”
So it won’t be that hard?
Wan Qiu didn’t pay much attention to the analysis. What was the point of saying all this?
“It looks like some of the premier powerhouses within the mid worlds are also aware that they need to understand more daos if they are to build their own dao universes or domains. The Exalted Myriad Changes Emperor likely knows that he needs to combine all daos as one if he wishes to enter eighth or ninth rank...”
Wan Qiu’s heart quailed. Combine all daos as one?
“There is very little exchange of dao comprehension within the chaos,” Li Hao soldiered on, not caring what kind of reaction he was garnering from his audience. “But in reality, we cultivate in order to grow stronger. No one does something for no payoff. Hence, I’d like to negotiate something with the fellow daoist, or the alliance of mid worlds, rather. I’d like to make a small trade...”
“What is it?” A shaken Wan Qiu had completely lost track of the conversation. Li Hao kept mentioning the mirage realms..
As expected, the young man said, “I’d like to construct a Myriad Dao Mirage that can envelop the entire sixth layer of the eastern region. I will craft a transportation system that will enable all exalted emperors to enter the realm from the comfort of their home and exchange dao reflections with one another!
“It will be very troublesome to create such a system. Endless resources will be needed as well as immense strength, concealment, and protection...”
Wan Qiu felt that Li Hao was crazy. How was this even possible? Even a ninth rank dao universe couldn’t encompass the entire sixth layer!
What kind of joke is this?? The kid’s mad!
Li Hao ran over some more calculations and said, “Of course, we’ll need some help from you guys as well. For example, the Exalted Myriad Changes Emperor. If he’s free to do so, I need one thousand mirage realms from him. I’ll be in charge of connecting them!
“It’s best if the alliance creates some more islands and sets exalted emperors over them. Not only will that stabilize this system, but it will directly benefit the exalted emperors in residence. They will manage a mirage realm. That will benefit their dao comprehension as well.”
A cooperation hinged on mutual benefit. Someone who put forth time and energy without requiring payback... was a saint. Li Hao never dared propose having someone work for free. That would result in someone beating him to death.
He just wanted to understand more dao and make it convenient to do so. In the same vein, he didn’t mind if others partook the fruits of his labor if they exerted themselves to some effort as well.
“In addition, each exalted emperor that enters only needs to pay some dao crystals. We’ll accumulate plenty from saving a little at a time. Right now, the current situation just barely keeps operations afloat.
“My idea could see the attendance of one hundred, one thousand, or ten thousand exalted emperors! How many mid and minor worlds are there in the eastern region? Surely many more than three thousand. Perhaps there’s even thirty thousand!”
A tiny zone of Phoenix influence in the insignificant Dragon Region of the mere four regions contained hundreds, almost one thousand worlds. There were at least several thousand in all of Dragon Region, and more than ten thousand in the four regions.
What of the eastern region? There had to be at least several tens of thousands. And how many exalted emperors would be associated with them?
There would be one per world, at the very, very least. Mid worlds would have more than a dozen. If one really ran the numbers, there was an astronomical amount in the east.
One hundred thousand? Or more?
If each person paid a fee of one hundred thousand dao crystals, then they would easily earn ten billion dao crystals!
“Fellow Daoist Wan Qiu, can you discuss with the alliance whether you can create more mirage realms and alliance cities?” Li Hao smiled. “In addition, you will be in charge of marketing, popularizing, and distributing entry tokens.
“You have the advantage of numbers, so you can further perfect the transaction system given your knowledge and experience. How exalted emperors might interact and spar with each other, as well as the reward system, is up to you.
“Meanwhile, I will be in charge of one thing—connecting all of the mirage realms! I’ll also be in charge of creating a transportation system between the mirage realms. It will spontaneously transport a mental entity to another mirage realm. That would further deepen everyone’s exchange!”
Wan Qiu stared incredulously at the young man. “That’s not possible!” she muttered after a while.
Do you think I’m an idiot?? I’m a sixth rank master of dao at the end of the day! Your dao universe will not extend throughout all of the region even if you’re a ninth rank!
“It’s my business whether it’s possible or not,” Li Hao grinned. “Since I raised the notion, I have a certain degree of confidence in accomplishing it. This will be a win-win situation. I do this primarily because I wish to comprehend a myriad daos and create a domain of a myriad dao rules.
“You might not understand it, but some seventh and eighth ranks might. It’s best to comprehend a myriad daos if one wishes to enter ninth rank. It’s the most direct way to that level.”
He didn’t speak of establishing a false chaos. That was a task for the future. For eighth ranks, creating a domain of a myriad daos was the path to ninth rank. Although he was only a seventh rank, making preparations now would ensure that he didn’t reach beyond his grasp.
On the other hand, Wan Qiu was completely speechless. Was this a good idea?
Although Li Hao’s group was entirely comprised of wanted criminals, they were very strong. Reincarnation had been injured, so there might not be anyone in the east who could stand against them. Not to mention, this had nothing to do with the mid worlds. It was a clash at the overlord level. As for them, it wouldn’t affect them if they chose to cooperate or not.
But...
What if Li Hao really could do it? And how?
Truth be told, this was an impossible idea. A portion of the sixth rank dao universes had once sought to connect the Myriad Dao Pavilions around them. Not only did they pay an enormous price for the attempt, but the results were poor.
It was better for the structures to exist on a standalone basis.
“Then... even if the senior can do it... Silver Moon... Silver Moon is not welcome in the east at the moment...” Wan Qiu couldn’t help herself as a multitude of thoughts ran through her mind. “It will be easily destroyed even if we succeed in building it. Powerhouses might kill anyone who’s ventured inside...”
“Why would they?” laughed Li Hao. “How will they destroy our construct if they cannot discover or sense it? As for killing those inside... not all high ranks are madmen. They might kill one or two exalted emperors, but when there are several thousand inside, they won’t gain anything for killing all of those mental entities.
“They will, however, offend all of those exalted emperors at the same time. Not even the Reincarnation master would dare be so brash. Besides, how will they sense anything if they cannot detect it?”
Wan Qiu didn’t believe this claim, that wasn’t possible! A powerhouse could sense it even if it was an eighth rank dao universe coming down over the premises. If it wasn’t for that, then the Dragon master wouldn’t have been able to interrupt the transportation through Reincarnation’s dao universe and force two of its eighth ranks into the void!
