Chapter 1922: Negotiation (III)
Chapter 1922: Negotiation (III)
“Um...” Wan Qiu could no longer determine what was true or false about Li Hao’s words. She couldn’t make the decision in what he was proposing because she was just one member of the alliance, not the entirety.
If this proposal was fake and she made a report of it, then... she would become a joke.
Yet if they brashly cooperated with Li Hao’s group and they failed to keep it under wraps, that would offend Reincarnation major world. At the very least, the Silver Moon contingent was currently not welcomed by the major worlds in the outer regions.
Wan Qiu was quite conflicted.
“Fellow daoist, if I may be so bold, is there anyone among the alliance of mid worlds that can call the shots?” smiled Li Hao.
“No.” Wan Qiu shook her head after a while. “But we have an elder council. Sixth rank masters of dao, seventh ranks, and a select portion of peak sixth ranks can join the council. Under normal circumstances, we gather together to discuss all major happenings. But... rare are the occasions that demand a meeting.”
“Is there no one who commands absolute authority?” Li Hao asked again with a brewing headache. This kind of alliance was decentralized and impartial, but quite a hassle to deal with. The more they were thus, the harder they were to get a handle of.
He didn’t wish to control them, but it might take a very long time to tackle his project. That would be very disadvantageous for the young man then. The time period might be extremely prolonged. Discussion alone could take decades or centuries...
That amount of time wouldn’t matter to the council, at the very least.
“But if there really is anything major, then the seventh rank elders have a certain degree of autonomy,” Wan Qiu added. “Of them, the Exalted Myriad Changes Emperor built his own dao domain and ascended without the aid of a dao universe. He enjoys a certain prestige within the alliance.
“Since this matter involves the Myriad Dao Pavilions, if he is willing to take on the matter, then it might be approved very quickly...”
While she didn’t fully believe her own words, what if it came to pass? These people from the four regions were very strong—incredibly strong. Apparently the Silver Moon king had instantaneously arrived at Gemini major world. He really did seem... unique.
Therefore, what he spoke of might not just be blowing hot air.
If they succeeded, this would be an immense opportunity for the alliance of mid worlds to strengthen themselves.
Li Hao nodded. So Myriad Changes had created his own dao domain! That put him on the same footing as the Sword Sovereign. Exalted emperors like these were immensely capable and formidable in combat!
“Then can the fellow daoist get in touch with the Exalted Myriad Changes Emperor? You can pass on my sentiments and express that if we work together, the mirage realm will still remain under your control. However, my people need a potion of control too, so that they can comprehend the dao rules.
“This will be an immense exchange of great dao between the exalted emperors of the eastern region! We can thoroughly simplify this process and no longer hoard dao methods for ourselves...”
“I can try to contact him.” Wan Qiu nodded after a moment of silence. “But I might not be able to find him, that’s one. The second is that...”
She paused, but elected to continue after some internal struggle. “If the major worlds such as Reincarnation appear and... interfere... or even sabotage our efforts... We are only mid worlds and will not be involved in your conflict!
“If such a situation really does develop, we will neither send our people to reinforce, nor will we help any side. We can only choose self-preservation. That itself is hard enough already...”
She was concerned that this venture might drag those of the mid worlds into the clash and turn them into cannon fodder.
“Naturally,” Li Hao nodded. “This affair has to do with my path to ninth rank. Interfering with someone’s great dao is the equivalent of killing their parents. I do not like to form enmities with others, but if anyone interferes with my work, I am perfectly willing to let my sword taste blood again!”
This was a very important matter. If the alliance agreed, then they would work together. If not, Li Hao could construct the network himself.
Anyone who tried to stop him deserved death!
The young man spoke very casually, but had long come to a decision. It was one thing when he hadn’t thought of the idea, but now that he had, he would see it through to the end. Whoever dared obstruct him on his path of exploring a myriad daos would be his enemy for life!
A vast sum of energy was needed, whether it was fashioning such a system or creating a false chaos. Whoever dared obstruct his path of exploring a myriad daos would die! It didn’t matter if the troublemaker was the Reincarnation master himself!
Li Hao’s group was no match for the other at the moment, but he was already preparing to create more world domains. The young man wanted to bring himself to two thousand worlds as quickly as possible. He would finish crafting this thing as soon as possible, even if he were to finance it with conflict.
However, his customer base would be an immense problem so long as he lacked participation from the alliance of mid worlds. Most exalted emperors in the outer regions would not place their trust in Li Hao since the newcomers lacked sufficient trustworthiness.
Meanwhile, Wan Qiu started with dismay. This person spoke lightly of killing others, but the violent gleam in his eyes told a different story. He’d been genteel and polite all this time, at stark odds with the legendary Silver Moon king who’d killed Earth Yang.
But now, the two personalities could be connected.
“I’ll try reaching out to them,” she said after some hesitation. “If the Exalted Myriad Changes Emperor is interested...”
He might not dare come in person even if he was interested. Seventh ranks were strong, especially one who’d built his own dao domain, but it was a bunch of demons that faced him on the other side!
She didn’t know if he would be willing to come. In fact, she herself only half believed what Li Hao said. It also seemed feasible at the same time. If Myriad Changes was truly interested, he might take the risk in heading over.
As for herself... she couldn’t get away. If she could, she would’ve long run off.
Wan Qiu suddenly quirked her eyebrow; Li Hao also sensed some ripples from off world. The peak sixth rank’s expression quickly changed. There were many mid worlds out there and they’d built alliance cities in all parts of the universe.
The worlds weren’t very far from each other and could often receive information faster than major worlds.
“Some of the alliance's exalted emperors in a nearby region have discovered something... unusual... about three thousand chaos meters away from here,” she said with her heart in her mouth. “There seems to be a conflict between high ranks. One side appears to be... the New Martial Human King... and he is being chased by several high ranks...”
“The Human King?” Li Hao frowned slightly. Being chased by several high ranks?
The Human King wielded at least five thousand dao rules and had his own internal world to pull from. A powerhouse like him always managed to create a home world advantage when he fought. It would take two or three eighth ranks to have a solid chance of defeating him.
It was even harder to prevent him from escaping, not unless there were premier powerhouses to dog his footsteps.
But in the east, Reincarnation and Arctic Frost were among the few eighth ranks that were stronger than the Human King.
“Hmm... the disturbance isn’t great because there’s been a dao domain enshrouding them,” Wan Qiu ventured carefully. “Our people only observed at a distance and didn’t dare come nearer. We don’t know how true the reports are.”
It was said that New Martial and Silver Moon were of the same breath and branches. She wasn’t sure if that was true, but it was also hard to imagine why high ranks could appear in different worlds of the same origin.
Why would there be two different kings of a faction? That kind of situation was almost unheard of.
“Does the Reincarnation master want revenge?” Li Hao stroked his chin thoughtfully. “But he only has one eighth rank on his side...”
Where did the multiple eighth ranks come from? Had eighth ranks of other worlds made a move as well?
The situation was unclear, but if the Human King really was in danger, he needed to take a look no matter what.
“Then I’ll task the fellow daoist to contact your peers. I’m going to take a look over there...”
Of course, this might be a trap. Who knew? It was his first time meeting this Wan Qiu, what if she was doing all this to trick him?
Well... that would be too much trouble, and neither did she have the time or ability to collect so many eighth ranks to threaten him.
Li Hao ultimately decided to take a look before settling on further action. He would leave an immaterial world behind here, making it possible to travel back through the river of time at any moment.
He wasn’t terribly concerned. When it came to fleeing for his life... he might be more skilled at that than the Human King. It took premier exalted emperors to discover the river’s presence. Regular exalted emperors were unable to detect it. Even few eighth ranks could sense it.
In addition, how could someone as domineering as the Human King be surrounded by others and not hack them to death?
Various questions popped into Li Hao’s mind. He quickly transmitted a message to the others. It was highly amusing that they might see a bedraggled Human King. Since no one felt particularly alarmed, all of them disappeared with the young man.
Wan Qiu was immensely shaken by the sight. These people... really did seem to have departed. How could someone come and go with such ease in the chaos? And did Li Hao mean it when he spoke of constructing a mirage realm large enough to cover the eastern region?
She wasn’t certain of the claim’s veracity, but neither did she deny the possibility. Wan Qiu utilized the alliance’s communication system and sent the message out word by word, passing it onto the area that Myriad Changes was in.
She could not make the decision in this matter. They could only wait for Myriad Changes’ response.
As for the Human King being hunted and Li Hao’s group traveling to rescue him... Wan Qiu could not be bothered with that issue. If they really died, she would just pretend that she’d never encountered these people.
And if they didn’t, whoever was hunting them would end up worse than ever.
None of that was anything that a sixth rank like her should be involved in.
......
Someone was hunting the Human King? Who dared do that?
Li Hao didn’t quite understand. It didn’t seem likely that all of the high ranks within the eastern region would join hands together, not at current. The chance of them taking the risk of mobbing the Human King wasn’t high.
Despite his confusion, the young man led his people in the relevant direction.
The Thunder master abruptly frowned and looked at the east. His face darkened. “Someone seems to have shattered Thunder World!”
There was only an empty shell left of the world, but it was still Thunder World and he was the world master at the end of the day. He could sense that the world domain had been broken. Someone had destroyed his world.
Li Hao frowned slightly.
No one had known of their departure, which represented that there were a lot of powerhouses attacking Thunder World. Absolute confidence in their strength was the only reason why they would attack the world.
So there was one faction attacking the Human King and another surrounding Thunder World... The latter was also meant to be on guard against the Dragon master and New Martial. What was going on?
Had the various powerhouses of the east allied together?
If that was the case, then he’d underestimated them. They’d taken action too swiftly. Red Moon had needed a long time in the four regions before he could bring all of the seventh rank worlds together. How had the eastern outer region done so that rapidly?
Li Hao frowned at the unexpected development. A coalition of eastern heavyweights was not good for him.
“Ignore that for now! We need to find the Human King first!” Li Hao scolded. He was just preparing to build a region-wide Myriad Dao Pavilion. If all of the eastern region was armed against him... this was very bad.
It would ruin all of his plans.
