They’d broken through Thunder World’s defenses, but... found not a single thing.

All of the eighth ranks wore frowns on their faces. Their targets were gone! And they’d even abandoned an eighth rank world!
To those of the outer regions, Thunder World was very, very important. Occupying home world advantage was the key to eighth rank dominance. But now, their opponents had thrown away even their home.

“It’s good that they’re gone...”
“Perhaps they’ve gone to the other regions?”
“Or maybe they’re hiding in the shadows.”
“......” The eighth ranks exchanged glances, not at ease from the disappearance of their quarry. More pressure came down on them instead. The disappearance of these guys was not a good thing.
They were exposed and out in the open in the first place, but had run off in the blink of an eye and even abandoned their world. Although they’d extracted all of the energy before doing so, nothing beat home world advantage.
“So what now?” More glances were exchanged. They’d finally made up their minds to strike together. Were they supposed to go home now that their targets had disappeared?
All of their careful planning now seemed like a joke.
“How about... we take a look around the four regions?” the Arctic Frost eighth rank suddenly asked.
The four regions? That was Long Zhan’s territory.
Chaos beasts were strong as a whole and apparently Black Tiger had also set foot into eighth rank. Long Zhan and Red Moon were both eighth ranks. They had three eighth ranks and multiple seventh ranks. And with Long Zhan being overwhelming in battle...
Although the outer region contingent comprised of five eighth ranks and more than a dozen seventh ranks, they wouldn’t be of much use in the four regions, would they? They would be fighting someone in their own home.
In fact, it would be very dangerous.
“The four regions are centered around humanity at the end of the day. While chaos beasts have conquered it, there are vast sums of human powerhouses still. They have at least several dozen seventh ranks.

There were twelve eighth rank major worlds represented here! A full sixteen eighth ranks were present, as well as a mass of seventh ranks. And there were also many seventh rank worlds with them. If they were all willing to join the effort, then this force would storm the four regions.
However, a portion of powerhouses had to stay behind. They couldn’t all go. It would be very troublesome if someone snuck into their homes in their absence.
With twelve worlds, it made sense that twelve eighth ranks should remain behind. But some of the eighth rank worlds were close to one another, potentially freeing up more of the sixteen eighth ranks. If one proved trustworthy, that one eighth rank could look over multiple major worlds.
“Are we really going to go?”
“Why not?”
“......” A rapid-fire discussion ensued. Ambition reared its head in all of them. Since they were already out in the chaos and had reached an accord... then let it stretch on further. They weren’t willing to return home now.
“Then let us call for a few more fellow daoists. Long Zhan probably hasn’t realized it either that we would come to an agreement so quickly, that we’d set aside even New Martial and Silver Moon to enter the four regions. In that case, let’s go and catch him off guard!”
Excitement percolated through the group of exalted emperors. What else was there to say at this point? Let’s go!
The eastern region had been without an overlord all this time. Perhaps one would be born on this occasion and have an official place at the table with the other three regions.

Li Hao’s group was yet to reach the Human King’s battlefield. The Arctic Frost master abruptly disappeared from his world. Two more eighth ranks set off from nearby major worlds, making a group of eight eighth ranks that set out for the four regions.
Since they couldn’t find the Silver Moon king, they would head for the four regions!
As for New Martial, they would still be on guard against that faction. But there were eight eighth ranks over there, plus multiple seventh ranks. There was less danger possible given that they were in a partnership.

The supreme’s eyes suddenly darted in a certain direction. A cat yowled impatiently next to him, “Are we still not leaving? Ignore this place, Fang Ping seems to be surrounded...”
Although the Human King had set off on his own, that didn’t mean he’d cut off communication. Ash Cat had sensed it when he was attacked and wanted to rescue the man, but the supreme had refused to move.
The cat was highly impatient!
If there wasn’t a need to move with this guy, it would’ve long left already.
Supreme Zhang simply looked at Arctic Frost major world. Two of its eighth ranks had left, leaving one eighth rank behind. This world was the greatest threat in the eastern region. He didn’t know why Fang Ping had been surrounded or who was attacking him, but it would surely have something to do with Reincarnation.
That also meant that Reincarnation wouldn’t be involved here.
Or should we go to Reincarnation instead?
The thought rose in his mind as the supreme considered Arctic Frost anew. He was in no hurry for the Human King. Moments later, he said slowly, “We will attack Arctic Frost...”
“They don’t seem to be headed for the Human King,” frowned the Light master. “The Silver Moon king’s group seems to have left as well. These guys have sent out eight eighth ranks, so I think... they might be headed to the four regions to take on Long Zhan!”
Since they were gunning for the chaos beasts, why set their eyes on Arctic Frost now? It would be most undesirable if their actions resulted in the return of the Arctic Frost master. It was best to kill with a borrowed knife. Long Zhan was a continual thorn in their side.
Why help him out of a tight spot?
The supreme turned back to consider the four regions and rumbled, “Stopping them from attacking Long Zhan is precisely what I want to do. I’m concerned that they’ll be throwing meatballs at a dog. None of them will come back and they’ll enhance Long Zhan’s strength again!
“If eight eighth ranks and more than a dozen seventh ranks all die there, then Long Zhan will be able to create numerous eighth ranks under his command...”
“There’s eight eighth ranks in that group!” blinked the Light master. Are you serious?? You say that the dragon will kill them all? No way!
Long Zhan only has three eighth ranks. Even if he can fight three by himself, that won’t be enough. So this New Martial supreme is worried that these guys are going to their deaths... to deliver presents for the chaos beasts... is that possible?
Absolutely not.
Granted, they’ll be a bit weaker because they’re not fighting with their worlds, while that doesn’t matter to chaos beasts. But no matter what, the chaos beasts are in for it with eight eighth ranks on the loose.
The Light master was irritated at how highly the supreme thought of the chaos beasts. He’d been with the guy ever since leaving the four regions. There’d been no battles to participate in and nothing to gain. He’d even lost his world for it!
Dissatisfaction had been brewing for a while, and magnified further at the thought of helping Long Zhan with an ambush on Arctic Frost.
It was just as the Exalted Blood Emperor had said, even an eighth rank or a world master was nothing in the eyes of New Martial. He could only follow New Martial commands. That was even more the case with the supreme here. There was almost no room for the Light master.
It very much irked the man, but there was nothing he could do when taking shelter under someone else’s roof. At least his son was benefiting heavily from his association with Li Hao. Ming Tang was already a seventh rank.
