Chapter 2149: Birds of a Feather (II)

  • Next Chapter

Much had proceeded differently than what the ninth ranks had imagined. Calamity resolved to think of a proper response!

These people were harder to handle than anticipated. The ninth ranks had the advantage of numbers, but it felt like they were about to be defeated!

“Shadow... what are you guys all dithering around for?!” he shouted angrily. Calamity was becoming irritated since, while it was very hard for him to suppress the fearsome Su Yu by himself, he’d still done the deed.

But Shadow and the other two couldn’t handle a singular Li Hao?

It was maddening!

If this continued, the tables might turn once the Human King finished absorbing the dao strength around him. When Calamity’s thoughts traveled here, he looked at Chaos Sky with a clenched jaw.

Chaos Sky was preoccupying four ninth ranks by himself!

“Little friend Chaos Sky!” Calamity came to a decision and gnashed his teeth.

Chaos Sky had backed away as he fought. He was on the fringes of the battlefield by now. The man jerked his head at Calamity when he heard the call. Chaos Sky immediately understood what the other had in mind.

Of the combatants, Li Hao shared a grudge with Calamity. Skyward was too strong and could actually kill the ninth ranks. Chaos Sky had just barely managed to make it to ninth rank. While he was also strong, none of the other ninth ranks would be afraid of him if they recovered to their peak.

The Human King killing multiple opponents had completely changed everything. Calamity now wished to ally with Chaos Sky.

Upon realizing that, Chaos Sky quickly weighed up the pros and cons. There weren’t many that he was wary of, but Skyward was one of them. Li Hao and his ilk... while they weren’t ninth ranks, they also induced wariness in Chaos Sky.

The Human King suddenly producing two sides of the same coin was also a baffling incident.

Chaos Sky immediately backed away and built a domain of order, blocking the attacks raining down on him. He looked sharply at the ninth ranks surrounding him and asked, “Do you still want to go against me?”

The others halted. Did they?

“Switch to the Human King!” Calamity’s voice rang out.

The four hesitated, then pivoted and charged the Human King.

Fang Ping jerked with surprise and cursed angrily, “Me, again? Do you really think I’m that easy to pick on? Spring Autumn’s almost being beaten to death, you guys should focus on her! If not, Su Yu or Yuan Shuo will do! And if push comes to shove, go to Ole Zhang! Why constantly focus on me??”

It was too much!

Again?!

“I’m done playing with you guys, you can have fun elsewhere...” The Human King shook with fury as he devoured energy.

He promptly fled to the supreme’s side. The sole ninth rank battling New Martial powerhouses paled and prepared to run. Once the Human King left the battlefield... everything would be reset to the arduous conditions of before.

Su Yu looked at Li Hao, frowning slightly before looking again at Skyward. Although it hadn’t been long since he’d emerged from Myriad Realms, this guy was probably the most difficult opponent to handle.

While it looked like they were on the same team at the moment, they clearly were not.

Su Yu had some trump cards up his sleeves to play, but he needed to be on guard against this one. But now the Human King had erupted with full strength and wanted to flee. It would be very troublesome if the Human King did so.

Once Su Yu revealed all of his plans, his efforts might easily benefit someone else!

Su Yu’s frown deepened.

It was also extremely irritating to be hemmed in by Calamity. Su Yu wasn’t the type to sit around and take a beating. But he was newly arrived and had detonated the dao of time shortly after, which extinguished some of Li Hao’s options.

He was thinking that he should keep it in after that, so that he would have some more cards to play in a critical moment.

And yet, that old geezer remained as unmoving as a mountain!

It was like he really wasn’t afraid. Or perhaps he was out of ideas?

But at this stage...

Su Yu couldn’t afford to wait any longer. If he did, the Human King might actually run off. That wasn’t an empty threat, given the man’s personality. Some thoughts came to mind before he ultimately came to a decision.

“Don’t leave yet, Human King!” he grunted. “I’m really putting things on the line!”

The Myriad Realm cultivators that’d been attacking the two ninth ranks changed formation, like they’d received a command. It took only a split second for them to adjust!

Calamity’s face twitched. Damn it! What else was there with these people?! It was scary enough that they’d reached these heights not long after their world was created. What else could their leader have up his sleeves??

Su Yu sighed as Calamity’s thoughts raced. The book of civilization appeared again!

It transformed into a world in the blink of an eye. The river of civilization flowed and the countless denizens of Myriad Realms observed from it. There was one world in each page. He’d brought all the worlds with him!

The true Myriad Realms had long become an empty shell!

“Creation!”

Heaven and earth split apart as Su Yu created a world.

Indeed, created a world.

Or, it could be said that he’d long created a world of his own in Myriad Realms. He was simply transporting it to the real chaos.

Heaven and earth came into being!

Countless great daos manifested and each Myriad Realm powerhouse became a dao spirit. the great dao over their head spontaneously connected with the book of civilization.

It took only a moment for a river to manifest—a river of the universe!

Su Yu breathed out. War, you said that I fell a bit short in breaking through the limits of the past and of the new world. You said that time is yours.

You were wrong!

I walk my own dao. The universe is also the chaos. From top to bottom, from the four cardinal directions, there has only ever been my dao!

“Open!”

The river materialized a series of massive rumbles. Myriad Realm powerhouses turned into dao spirits of their great dao.

No, that was inaccurate. They were dao spirits to begin with. The heavyweights of Myriad Realms were different from the braves of the chaos. Many of them had once been part of the great dao and been part of the new world in the universe.

They’d all become dao spirits!

They melded into the new world like supernatural characters. The entire battlefield suddenly became the entire chaos. Su Yu wielded the book of civilization as his people all became part of the daos within.

A massive power of suppression quickly materialized. The new world bore down on everyone!

Life Death and another ninth rank quickly sped for Calamity. The three of them watched, livid.

Damn it!

The ninth ranks that’d been charging the Human King also sensed something amiss and doubled back. The Human King and small Human King quickly made for Su Yu when they saw what was happening.

Su Yu had transformed his people into daos with spirit in his new world. Ordered great daos shifted unsteadily, not fully stable.

They were missing something.

Chaos Sky’s eyes widened when Su Yu looked at him. The latter smiled. “You accepted something from me and still set yourself against me. It’s not going to be that easy to do that! I would request that the fellow daoist give me a hand!”

A writing brush appeared in his hand. He sketched the seasons!

Rules appeared!

“Order appears, ninth ranks crumble!”

The five characters flew in Chaos Sky’s direction. He watched them approach with an unpleasant expression, shoving down the agitating power of order in his body. Dream on!

But a person appeared when Su Yu grasped at empty air. The Martial Emperor regarded the youngster with resignation!

“Martial Emperor, an age of upheaval is nigh,” Su Yu grinned brilliantly. “You are the one to pacify upheaval, so all hope lies with you!”

The Martial Emperor cursed under his breath. Me again!

He summoned a wave of power without further thought, making Chaos Sky pale with dismay. Only the strength of order had agitated in him before this, but now the power of disorder was also fluctuating!

He understood!

Disorder!

Damn, this person is the reincarnated Disorder!

Thankfully he’s just a reincarnation, so his grasp of disorder is limited. He can only disturb the disorder within me.

But since order was agitating as well, there was a clash between daos of two extremes. It wasn’t the most comfortable, but he could keep them under control.

Chaos Sky stood there, stony-faced. Although his opponents were attempting to unsettle the dao strength within his body, it was impossible for them to control him to the point where he would fight for them.

His former ninth rank opponents sped for Su Yu instead.

“Parlor tricks!” shouted Calamity. World creation?

Trying to create a minor world in front of them, enveloping it with great dao, and strengthening dao spirits was a good thought. But compared to the two sides of yin and yang that the Human King had just shown, this wasn’t good enough.

As strong as the technique was, there were limitations to it.

Do you think this is your little new chaos?

This is the chaos universe!

The real chaos!

The hell kind of world are you creating? When Li Hao created his, he had to find a place to create a sealed world. You created an open one! Do you have any brains in that head of yours?

The Human King and little Human King moved extremely swiftly as they rushed the four ninth ranks. Although they’d just said they were going to run away, they decided not to when they saw that Su Yu was being serious.

A sword appeared in Su Yu’s hand—one much more formidable than the previous Firmament Sword. It was the manifestation of Firmament and its current strength rivaled when Li Hao broke through the firmament and killed the connate demon gods.

And yet, that wasn’t enough.

It wasn’t enough even when Su Yu matched Li Hao of yesteryear. He wouldn’t be able to kill these ninth ranks. Calamity, in particular, was a formidable foe.
