Starting Out As The God of Beasts
Chapter 260: Uriel’s Report [1]
High above the clouds of the Sun Heaven, bathed in an eternal, golden radiance that knew no dusk, stood the majestic Palace of the Sun God Ra.
The estate was a sprawling monument of divine architecture, built from polished ivory, translucent amber, and solid, refined sunlight.
Cascading waterfalls made of liquid starlight tumbled down carved marble terraces, feeding into quiet crystal pools that reflected the absolute, unblemished light of the upper realm.
Floating islands hung serenely in the sky above the courtyard, each bearing lush, mythical flora that bloomed under the supreme gaze of the deity who ruled this domain.
Strolling casually down a quiet, stone-paved pathway in his private divine garden was the Sun God Ra.
He appeared not as a withered, ancient deity of legend, but as a dazzlingly beautiful young man.
His long, sleek golden hair cascaded down his back like spun threads of liquid sun, shifting gently with an ethereal shimmer as he moved.
His eyes were two pools of pure, molten gold, reflecting a depth of power and authority that could melt mortal souls with a single glance.
Draped in a long, flowing golden robe lined with subtle, crimson-and-white sun runes, Ra emanated an effortless, blinding elegance.
Ra paused beside a bed of pale, crystallized lotus blossoms that had wilted under the sheer heat of the upper atmosphere.
He gently bent over, his slender, sculpted fingers reaching out to lightly caress the fragile petals.
A faint, warm smile touched his lips.
As his fingertips brushed the lotus, an overflowing, delicate trickle of pure golden Divine Essence flowed from his skin into the plant.
In a fraction of a second, the pale petals flared with vibrant, golden life, opening wide to release a sweet, intoxicating divine perfume that swept through the entire garden.
THUD.
Behind him, the soft, rhythmic rustle of feathers broke the serene quiet of the garden.
A tall, imposing figure descended from the golden sky, landing heavily upon the marble path before sinking down onto one knee.
It was a three-headed celestial archangel, clad in heavy, sun-forged armor that hummed with intense kinetic pressure.
Each of the angel’s three faces possessed sharp, ruthless features, framed by wild, crimson hair that fell over shoulder plates etched with holy seals.
The angel’s eyes—six in total across all three faces—were a deep, storm-grey color, completely devoid of heat.
“Greetings, Absolute Being, Lord Ra,” all three heads spoke in perfect, resonant unison, their voices blending into a heavy, metallic choir as the archangel kept his head bowed toward the polished floor.
Ra did not immediately turn around.
He finished caressing the revitalized lotus blossom before slowly standing up to his full height, his long golden robe sweeping smoothly over the marble.
“Rise, Uriel,” Ra spoke softly, his voice carrying a smooth, melodic warmth that put the heavy air at ease.
“Did you bring the news I requested?”
The three-headed angel stood up, his armor clanking softly as he kept his grey eyes cast respectfully toward the floor.
“Yes, my Lord. I have summarized the findings of my deep-divine investigation across the lower realms.”
Ra’s perfect golden eyebrows furrowed slightly, a flicker of genuine interest passing through his molten eyes.
“And what is the result?”
Uriel inhaled deeply, his three chest plates expanding under the heavy divine air of the garden. “The sudden, erratic flux of divine energy and localized informational blackouts in the lower continental sectors… it is indeed connected to Telvanus, the God of Information.”
Instead of showing surprise, Ra’s lips curled faintly into a knowing, subtle smile.
He turned his gaze upward toward the vast, golden expanse of the Sun Heaven.
“I already assumed as much,” Ra murmured, his tone dry and unbothered. “Telvanus has always been extraordinarily crafty, secretive, and paranoid. He knows that the Absolute-tier True Gods are quietly hunting him through the higher dimensions, so he long ago severed his primary divine threads and hid his main body deep within the unmapped voids of reality.”
Ra took a slow step forward, his golden hair fluttering gently as he walked toward a floating crystal basin.
“We can do nothing to a mere avatar while his true main body remains so masterfully hidden,” Ra continued softly, dipping his fingers into the liquid light of the basin. “And as you well know, Telvanus possesses the unique, terrifying authority to block and manipulate the absolute flow of information itself.”
He paused, turning his head back to look at the three-headed archangel.
“Information is not merely words or knowledge, Uriel. It is one of the foundational pillars of reality. Even Existence itself depends on the steady, uncorrupted flow of information to thrive, structure itself, and maintain order. If we were to press him too hard, if we force a cornered beast like Telvanus into a full-scale dimensional war, we will be the ones trapped. Should he decide to completely seal or scramble all information across the sectors in retaliation, existence itself will fall into utter, irreversible chaos.”
The archangel bowed his heads again, accepting the supreme wisdom of his creator.
“Your divine foresight is absolute, Lord Ra.”
Uriel then raised his main central head, his grey eyes flickering with a faint, puzzling realization. “However, my Lord… while I was tracing the informational distortions left behind by Telvanus’s avatar, I stumbled upon another anomaly unfolding in the lower mortal plane.”
Ra glanced back over his shoulder, his golden eyes filled with mild curiosity.
“An anomaly?”
“Yes,” Uriel replied. “There is currently an active, rapidly escalating religious war taking place across the southern mountain regions of the lower continent.”
Ra’s eyebrows raised in mild amusement, a faint chuckle escaping his chest.
“A religious war?” He turned his whole body around, looking at the armored archangel with a confused, slightly bemused expression.
“Between whom? Who would bother warring over such tiny, fragile mortal populations?”
“The offensive force is led by Makane, the God of the Sky,” Uriel explained, his central head speaking clearly. “As you know, Makane is a Lesser-tier True God registered under our Sun Pantheon’s broader hierarchy.”
“Ah, Makane. The arrogant little player who loves building grand cathedrals,” Ra remarked, waving his hand nonchalantly. “And who is he trying to crush this time? Some local Lesser-tier True God?”
Uriel paused for a brief second, his grey eyes darkening slightly as he recalled the strange divine readings he had captured from the lower realm.
“No, my Lord,” Uriel answered solemnly. “He is deploying his inquisitors, his holy fleet, and even an angel against a mysterious entity who has recently surfaced…”
The archangel took a breath before delivering the title.
“He is waging war against a True God who calls himself the God of Beast.”
