Chapter 1086: Starry Sky Butterfly (Lifeline Beast)

Inside the special practice room, the moment he had long been waiting for had arrived. He had been waiting ever since he first contracted Stella as an unknown beast egg.

His gaze continued to look toward Stella in her egg form.

Crack!

A faint cracking sound came from the unknown beast egg. He observed with bated breath.

The beast egg had cracks all over its surface. This time, the crack was becoming larger. It didn’t take long for the small cracks to become larger cracks.

Swoosh!

The next second, a dense, bright light shone out from the crack.

Boom!

A loud booming sound echoed, but it didn’t seem to occur here. It was a sound coming from the void.

Jeremy Night’s eyes were almost blinded by the shining, milky-white light. But he didn’t look away, because he felt his eye powers and starlight power getting stronger.

His heart started beating faster with excitement.

Meanwhile,

A bluish, milky-white beast appeared in the void. The beast had an enormous wingspan spreading across 3 metres.

It had six wings: two large forewings, two small mid-wings, and two medium-sized hindwings.

The forewings were used for flight. The remaining wings provided stability and control during fast flight.

All six wings were used for starlight attacks and extreme speed abilities.

The enormous wings displayed complex patterns. They were a milky-white colour with a tinge of light blue mixed in.

The wings had dark golden pattern lines running all over them. The golden patterns were mysterious and held enormous power.

The robust beast was 70 cm in length from head to the tip of the abdomen and stood about 50 cm high.

Each wing was over 1.5 metres long.

It was the Starry Sea Butterfly. Its head had compound eyes and two large antennae. The compound eyes were pitch-black in colour.

Those eyes held enormous eye power that could pierce through the void.

The body had a strong thorax and a sharp tail extending from the hindwings. The thorax had powerful muscles, and the sharp tail provided much-needed balance.

The whole body blended with the void. If not for its milky-white body, its entire presence would have been hidden.

The two large antennae had dark golden patterns running all over them. They were for detection, navigation, balance, orientation, and sensing the environment.

Stella sensed her whole body and took control of it. She then began to observe herself.

From her fragmented memories, she knew that this was not her original size or colour.

Her body would grow further as she completed one breakthrough after another in the future. Her starlight power and other abilities would develop as well.

She looked at the colour of her body. It was not its original colour. From her memory, she could tell that there were multiple colours; right now, they had not yet awakened.

The next second, milky-white energy radiated from her body. It was starlight power, and it made her body appear like a star in the void.

Stella then suddenly remembered Jeremy Night.

She looked around at the empty void surrounding her. It was nothing but her own power-one of her abilities.

She then recalled how to come out of it.

Swoosh!

The next second, she reappeared inside Jeremy Night’s mental zone space. Her body shrank in size to fit the space.

The starlight power radiating from her body filled the mental zone.

Below her, there was a solid block of starlight threads. Seeing that, she controlled her power. A single starlight thread separated from the solid block.

It then disappeared into her body. One by one, the starlight threads were absorbed by her.

When the entire starlight block was gone, she had more space inside the mental zone. She then restrained the white starlight radiating from her body.

Her body then came into Jeremy Night’s view. Not only that, but she had also broken through to become a Tier-4 beast in the process.

Tier-4, 1st Rank - Early Stage!

A storm surged in Jeremy Night’s heart. He saw the appearance of his lifeline beast for the first time.

"Breathtaking!"

It was the first thought that appeared in his mind.

He saw a white beast with a bluish tinge. The dark golden patterns made it look royal.

He also saw six wings on her body. Stella reminded him of a butterfly, but she wasn’t merely a butterfly beast.

He had never heard of a butterfly beast with starlight power.

Just as he was taking a good look at the beast, he heard Stella’s voice.

[Jeremy!]

[I have become a Tier-4 Beast. But my strength is not stable yet. I still need to consume more natural energy to stabilize it. Only then can I give you the feedback energy.]

It felt unreal to Jeremy. He looked at the butterfly beast hovering in midair. Those compound eyes seemed to be communicating with him.

It was dreamlike, but it was true. Now he understood what it was like to communicate with a lifeline beast.

"Alright, focus on stabilizing your strength. I’m not leaving the special practice room," Jeremy said to her.

[Okay!]

Stella replied.

The pure mist of natural energy in the room stirred. It entered his body in the shape of a funnel.

However, the natural energy was being absorbed by Stella inside the mental zone.

He could see what was happening inside the mental zone. The natural energy was sucked into her wings.

Seeing that, he felt even more amazed. Now he knew why Lord Martha had said that Stella was no ordinary beast. Her bloodline limit had to be high.

He couldn’t wait for his own breakthrough. Whenever he broke through a major tier, either a lifeline beast’s ability was strengthened or another ability would awaken.

He was eager to know her abilities. He wondered whether he could use another ability of hers now that she had come out of the egg.

He looked forward to the next ability.

Time passed.

She continued to absorb more of the pure, rich natural energy in the room.
