STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer
Chapter 1155: Using the Rhythmic Attack Again
City A (4th Zone)
Beast Tamer Oren was taken aback by the reaction of his two friends. He understood that his two friends knew something.
"What’s going on?" Oren asked.
Hearing that, the two friends shared the information with him.
They explained that a Tier-4 Beast Tamer had used the special practice room whose door he had knocked on over a hundred times.
Oren didn’t know how to react. He looked at his friends as if they were telling a joke.
"Don’t joke with me. I’m already pissed off," Oren said to them.
The two friends were dumbfounded. They have realised the gravity of the situation.
The black-haired friend said, "I’m telling the truth. The young man was dressed in pristine black armor."
Hearing that, Beast Tamer Oren was stunned. He had seen a Tier-4 Beast Tamer in a black suit of armor leaving the place earlier.
In fact, both of them had made brief eye contact.
He hadn’t thought much of it at the time, but he never expected that the young man would turn out to be the person who had ignored the knocking.
Oren’s expression darkened. He had just missed the person a few minutes ago.
"Was he the one?" Beast Tamer Oren asked.
Hearing that, the two friends nodded.
"If the young Tier-4 Beast Tamer has a golden card, then he must be well off," the second friend commented.
"But we know almost everyone who holds a golden card," the black-haired friend replied.
They argued back and forth.
Beast Tamer Oren recalled names in his mind. He knew almost everyone and had met the heirs of the rich families.
It was common to meet them during parties, so he knew there were at least a hundred golden cards in circulation. He knew most of them were held by prominent family members.
Even his own family had eight golden card members, so a total count of a hundred wasn’t that high. He decided to review his family’s intelligence reports again.
A few minutes later,
Beast Tamer Oren and his friends departed from the place and headed back to their homes. Oren had a goal in mind.
It didn’t take long for Oren to return to his family estate. Upon returning to the family premises, he summoned the butler.
When the family butler entered the room, Oren requested the details of the golden card holders. The butler was taken aback.
He didn’t know why the young master was asking about this late at night, but he nodded his head in agreement and left the room.
Oren didn’t go to sleep; he intended to wait. He wouldn’t rest until he verified the identity of that Tier-4 Beast Tamer.
Meanwhile,
Jeremy Night was heading inland into the wilderness. On the way, he came across other Beast Taming teams.
Stella was resting inside the mental zone, and he wasn’t going to disturb her.
Jeremy Night had decided to fight alone. It didn’t take long for him to encounter corrupted beasts, but they were only low-to-mid-tier creatures.
Swoosh!
After a twenty-minute journey, he arrived at the inner lands. Usually, people left during the night, but he had chosen to enter after dark.
He used his visual abilities to scan the area. His mental sense covered a 500-meter radius around him.
He spotted a Tier-6 Gray Fox heading in his direction. The beast was cunning, taking intermittent pauses as it advanced.
Swoosh!
It didn’t take long for the beast to sense his presence. He then noticed the creature rushing toward him.
The cunning, alert fox beast was now charging directly at him.
Jeremy Night didn’t draw his blade; he intended to use close-combat techniques instead.
Swoosh!
In the blink of an eye, the fox beast closed the distance between them. Jeremy saw that the beast stood well over three meters tall at the shoulder.
It was entirely gray in color. Its frame was lean rather than massive, granting it exceptional speed and agility.
Slash!
The beast swept its massive claw at him, attacking immediately without hesitation.
Jeremy Night established a rhythm, matching the frequency to transfer his vibrational force.
Swoosh!
The claw passed right above him. Because it was only a Tier-6 beast, it posed little threat to him. He dodged toward the beast’s flank.
Boom!
He thrust his palm into the beast’s front right leg. The moment his strike met the skin, the vibration from his hand transferred deep into its flesh.
Boom!
The fox beast lost its balance and nearly collapsed to the ground.
Seeing that, Jeremy stepped back. The vibration transfer had succeeded, but it hadn’t been strong enough to snap the bone.
Boom!
If he had wanted to, he could have used his starlight power to generate a far stronger vibration. However, he wanted to achieve a stronger impact using pure physical technique first.
Roar!
The Tier-6 Gray Fox roared and lunged at the human once more, opening its jaws wide to bite him.
Swoosh!
Jeremy Night’s talent activated. Everything around him seemed to decelerate, allowing him to perceive every nuance of the beast’s slowed movement.
Moving to the beast’s flank once again, he resumed his close-quarters combat stance.
He targeted the existing injury on its front right leg. He can injure the leg of the beast rather faster.
Boom!
His fists snapped forward, carrying rhythmic kinetic force.
Upon contact, the vibrational impact struck the beast’s right leg again, rupturing blood vessels and damaging the nerves.
Roar!
This time, the beast howled in agony as searing pain assaulted its senses. The strike had inflicted severe trauma.
Tears!
The skin tore open, and blood began pouring steadily from the wound.
The Tier-6 Gray Fox backed away with a severe limp, unable to place its paw on the ground.
Pfff!
His attack had damaged its nerves. The Tier-6 beast was stunned, unable to comprehend how a mere Tier-4 Beast Tamer could inflict such a debilitating injury.
Jeremy Night looked down at his fists. It had been a long time since he last fought using unarmed combat, but the results were undeniable.
