Strongest Hammer God
Chapter 1138: Secret Areas
Swamp Dragon told Red about a couple of things he could do to raise his Karmic Luck faster.
First, Swamp Dragon gave Kyle a blueprint for a Formation Array that would work even better to keep the Immortal Elemental Law Wells in check. With these Formation Arrays, the World Organizations could even allow Advanced Spirit Lords to look at the Immortal Laws without too much danger.
Naturally, comprehending a Level Seven Law as a Spirit Lord was far too difficult, but sometimes experiencing a more powerful version of what someone wanted to comprehend could put things in a new perspective.
Kyle disguised himself as a Lone Elder and changed his aura. Then he went to several World Organizations and offered them the Formation Array. When he offered the blueprint, he was also honest about his intentions.
He just wanted positive Karmic Luck.
Yet when the Organizations heard what the Lone Elder wanted them to do, they grew nervous.
This Lone Elder knew about things that he shouldn't know about! Even more, his suggestions were well within their means to implement, which meant he also knew about their cash flow in detail.
Almost all of the Organizations accepted the proposal. After all, the Formation Array was simply too useful.
The things Kyle had asked for were not even that bad. For example, he asked them to increase the wages of the Outer Disciples by 200% and the wages of the Inner Disciples by 50%.
At first glance, this seemed like a gigantic money sink, but that wasn't the case. The Outer Disciples barely earned anything. The raise for the Inner Disciples was more significant, but most of the Organizations wanted to do that anyway. It was just that they had aimed for a 20% increase instead of a 50% increase.Kyle also asked them to get rid of the flat reward they handed out whenever a Disciple killed a beast. This flat reward encouraged Disciples to gamble with their Karmic Luck and reduced the beast population.
Another thing he asked them to do was lower the punishments for killing someone from another Organization, as long as the other person was powerful enough to offer a True Battle. The original rule was put in place to stop Disciples from angering other Organizations.
If they were the only Organization with such minor punishments, it might be an issue, but since almost every Organization accepted Kyle's deal, it became normalized. This increased the number of battles between equal Seekers while reducing the number of battles between Seekers and weaker beasts.
Over a long span of time, this would lead to a net increase in Seekers. Sure, more Seekers would die, but the surviving Seekers would have gone through an additional True Battle, increasing their quality. The quantity would stay the same, since higher wages for Outer Disciples pulled in more unaffiliated Seekers and helped them advance faster.
Many Seekers simply couldn't get the Energy Stones necessary to advance, which was why many of them tried to cheat the system in some way. With the increased wages, it was more realistic to advance while keeping to the rules.
Some time later, Kyle went to the Organizations again, but this time, he didn't have anything to trade. Instead, he was making a proposal. Since basically almost all of the Organizations already knew him, they decided to entertain his proposal.
Over the next few years, Kyle went from Organization to Organization to speak on behalf of the other Organizations. While these Organizations held occasional talks with other Organizations, they didn't discuss any details. After all, the other Organizations were their rivals and potential enemies. They didn't want to expose themselves.
With Kyle as mediator, the Organizations reached a joint agreement, and Kyle's proposal took effect.
A couple of days later, the Agreement of Secret Areas was signed.
Representatives of each Organization would meet to create 1,000 Secret Areas. These Secret Areas were locked, controlled spaces that only Seekers of specific Realms could enter.
Every couple of years, the Organizations would put in an equal number of valuables like ore, weapons, Energy Stones, Formation Array designs, and Law Comprehension Fruits. Then they would create challenges for entrants to overcome to reach the treasure. Beasts, criminals, comprehension tests, willpower tests, and so on.
Every Organization was allowed to send a specific number of participants into the Secret Area. Killing was allowed and wouldn't be prosecuted. Weaker Organizations also got spots, and they even got more. Naturally, the stronger Organizations didn't mind. Weaker Organizations were weaker because their Disciples were weaker. The more sheep there were, the more meat their wolf would get.
These Secret Areas gave Organizations a way to gain an advantage over similarly powerful Organizations without entering high-risk battles. When two Ascendants fought, the winning Organization would gain a boatload of valuables, while the losing one would lose one of their valuable Ascendants.
Yet, with these Secret Areas, they could gain resources equal to a dead Spirit Lord by only risking ten Fulfilled Crushers or something like that.
This shifted the focus to future generations. Raising talented and powerful Disciples was more important than ever. Usually, focusing so much on Disciples in a lower Realm was a risk since they might die before they could repay the resources that had been invested. With the Secret Areas, the talented Disciples could help the current elite of the Organization.
What was also great was that there were no Karmic Consequences. Everyone entered willingly, and everyone agreed to the rules. As soon as someone entered, they were free to do whatever they wanted without fear of losing Karmic Luck.
The Secret Areas were a big hit, and Kyle harvested the Karmic Luck.
For the first time, Kyle received the Fourth Blessing of Karmic Luck, Visions of Destiny. Sometimes, people with this Blessing would experience a feeling or a vision of an opportunity. These visions were rare, but whenever they came, they led to a huge opportunity.
This sounded amazing, and it was, but this was sadly the norm within the Immortal Dimension. Everyone who could reach the Universe Realm was immensely talented, and these people also knew how valuable positive Karmic Luck was. Because of that, it was almost expected for every Immortal to have access to the Fourth Blessing of Karmic Luck.
Some years later, Kyle also experienced the Fifth Blessing of Karmic Luck, the Energy Spring. The Energy Spring sped up Kyle's Energy Regeneration while also exciting the Laws around him. This let him feel the Laws with even greater clarity.
Years passed, and Kyle's Karmic Luck kept increasing. It took a surprisingly long time, but eventually, Kyle managed to get there.
The auras around Red, Blue, and Green became a beautiful white.
A True Hero Aura!
A True Hero Aura only gave one benefit, but that benefit was huge.
Access to the Hero Dimension!
"To think that I would ever condense a True Hero Aura," Kyle thought.
Red and Black looked at each other. One had a True Hero Aura, while the other one had a True Sin Aura.
'I could probably make a comment about being good and bad, yin and yang, light and dark, but it's not that profound or complicated.'
'I simply played the game. One guy took on a shitload of debt and gave the money to the other guy. Sorry, Black, but your team is the loss leader.'
'Anyway, time's almost up. I hope Sebastian is close to succeeding.'
