Strongest Hammer God
Chapter 1217: Lines and Spheres
Red and Blue gritted their teeth and pulled out their hammers. Kyle would resist the Last Light with both of his Avatars.
The Last Light gathered more Energy, and an instant later...
BANG!
The Last Light broke into pieces. The pieces dissolved into complex Energies that displayed the wonders of nature. Since he had an Affinity for everything, Kyle could feel what Laws were contained within the Last Light.
Lightning, Fire, and Darkness were present. Kyle recognized some of their transformations and concluded that they came from the Level One to Level Seven Laws of the Elements. Yet, the majority of the transformations were unfamiliar to him, which could only mean one thing.
Level Eight Laws. The Sentient Elements, sometimes also called Void Elements.
Each Element included all the Laws from Level One to Level Eight, creating three Level 8.5 Complex Laws. Combining two of them would create a weak Level 9.5 Law. Adding a third would create a weak Level Ten Law.
Yet, on top of these Elements, there was also the Minor Law of Death. The Minor Law of Death allowed Energy to emulate the workings of Death. The Minor Law of Death was exceptionally simple. In a way, it wasn't even as complicated as a Level Three Law. However, it could change the entire way the attack worked.
The particles gathered all of the Energy in the surroundings, and in that instant, Kyle felt something familiar. He knew what this attack would do.
Blue immediately swung his hammer, creating an illusory hammer behind one of the Avatars of the Minor Immortal. However, both sides knew that the illusory hammer wouldn't hit in time. There was no way Kyle could outspeed the Last Light.
BANG!
The Energy combusted, creating an arcing flame of darkness. Like a lightning bolt, it shot towards Kyle at speeds that he could barely comprehend. To Kyle, the attack just looked like a single picture. One moment, nothing was there, and in the next moment, a flaming lightning bolt connected Blue with the Minor Immortal.
Kyle had decided to block the attack with only one Avatar. He changed tactics because he realized it didn't matter how many Avatars he used to block the attack.
After all, this was a Soul Attack.
He had sensed the Law of Karmic Causality in the attack. The Law of Minor Death had turned the physical properties of the Elements into ethereal properties, which the Law of Karmic Causality used to interact with the Spirit.
The black lightning bolt hit Blue, and in an instant, Kyle's world changed. All of his spread perceptions vanished. The world around all three of his Avatar pairs turned into an all-consuming void.
Endless darkness.
And then, a flash of incandescent light. Kyle felt the flash of light washing through his whole body. Like a lightning bolt, the light arced through his entire existence without resistance, leaving a burned trail.
Surprisingly, it didn't hurt. Kyle felt like it should hurt, but it simply didn't. It was like he was watching a video of someone getting dismembered. The person was screaming, but as a mere watcher, he didn't feel the pain. He knew that the person had to be in immense pain, but he wasn't the one experiencing it. He was just a watcher.
The iridescent bolt traveled through the silhouette of Kyle's body, stretching more and more into the distance. Yet, it never seemed to reach the end of Kyle's body. It was almost like the bolt was becoming smaller. Instead of traveling through space, it was expanding space around it. It was like a microscope that kept zooming in more and more, never leaving the object but traveling through worlds of different sizes.
The physical world vanished. Only the most fundamental Energies remained. Law Diagrams and logical concepts governed this world. This was the very foundation of life and existence.
Then, there were two lines. These two lines connected this entire world to a different world. One line stretched into reality itself. This line was one of the most common targets of Soul Attacks, the Avatar Anchor.
The Avatar Anchor was the line that connected an Avatar to reality itself. Without this line, an Avatar would lose the ability to interact with the Laws, and the Laws wouldn't be able to interact with the Avatar. If it were destroyed, the Avatar would lose all objective logic, and without logic, it would lose cohesion and turn into chaotic forces. In short, it would turn into individual streams of Elemental and Neutral Energies. This would be the equivalent of turning a human of Earth into individual atoms.
Yet, the Last Light didn't target this line. Instead, it traveled down the other line. Merely targeting the Avatar Anchor would be a waste of its power. The creators and users of these Last Lights knew how risky it was to use them. If the Last Light could only kill a single Avatar, barely anyone would buy or use it. After all, if another Avatar survived, their secret would be exposed, which would lead to their death.
The bolt followed the line and reached a shining orb, which had more lines coming out of it. The orb had five other lines that were identical to the line the bolt had used to get here. These six identical lines led to Kyle's three Human Avatars and three Weapon Avatars. The shining orb was the mirror image of one of his two existences.
After the Fusion, a Seeker became one with their Spirit. However, the Cosmos had a mirror image of the Seeker's Spirit. This mirror image contained all of the data of Kyle's existence.
When a Seeker changed or manipulated their Spirit, their mirror image would change as well, unless it broke the rules of reality. If the Seeker tried to do something that was against the rules, reality would forcefully stop the change. The mirror image took priority, which meant that the Seeker's true Spirit would not change. If the mirror image didn't change, the true Spirit also wouldn't change.
The individual Spirits were localized in the Avatars, essentially existing several times, but the mirror image only existed once. If one could forcefully change the mirror image, all of the Avatars would be forced to change in the same way.
Aside from these six lines, there were two additional lines. One of these lines led towards reality. This line looked almost identical to the Avatar Anchor. It also had the same function, but instead of anchoring only one Avatar to reality, it anchored the entire person's existence to reality. If this line broke, their existence would lose all logic, and since Avatars were part of their existence, they would also lose all logic.
As for the last line...
This was not supposed to be here. There was no name for it.
This line connected the shining sphere with another shining sphere, which looked identical to the first one. The second sphere also had six lines leading to three Human Avatars and three Weapon Avatars. It also had a line connecting to reality itself.
The first shining sphere was the mirror image of the Karmic Hammer Team, while the second one was the mirror image of the Abyss Hammer Team.
Two individual mirror images. Both of them were connected to each other like Avatars were connected to the mirror images. The only difference was that they were not connected in a hierarchical manner. Avatars were inferior to the mirror images, but the two mirror images were neither inferior nor superior to each other.
They communicated with each other like Avatars communicated with the mirror images, but their relationship was undefined. It was unclear whether or not one side had the ability to command the other side.
The iridescent lightning bolt reached the first mirror image without resistance, but as soon as it got there, things changed.
