Strongest Hammer God

Chapter 1219: Hot Wealth

'What is going on?! What happened?! Are my Avatars dead?! Can they recover?!' Kyle thought, using the Abyss Hammer Team to process information.

Both his mirror image and his individual Spirits had been altered. This was his new state. The way they were currently was how they were supposed to be, according to reality.

'Fuck!' Kyle thought in rage, fear, and frustration.

And then, Kyle felt the confusion slowly lifting. A small glimmer of hope appeared inside his heart. Was he recovering?

Inside his existence, his first mirror image was synchronizing with his second mirror image. The second mirror image was like an Avatar to the first, and the first mirror image was like an Avatar to the second. There was a mismatch between the two. Both of them said that they were supposed to be the right one.

Yet, the first mirror image was much weaker than the second at this moment. The second mirror image overwhelmed the first mirror image, and the first mirror image started to resemble the second one.

Energy flowed into the first mirror image, and it slowly started to recover. The broken parts regrew, and after a couple of seconds, the two mirror images looked identical again.

As the Avatars in the Karmic Hammer Team recovered Energy, their Spirits also repaired. Clarity returned to Kyle's perception, and after just a couple of seconds, he could sense the Immortal Dimension again.

He checked through his three Avatars and realized that everything was working as it should be. He had not taken any lasting damage.

'I... I survived!' Kyle thought as relief washed over him.

As he looked at the Immortal Dimension, he saw a world of oppressive darkness. The cave-in had buried his Avatars. Luckily, the battle hadn't taken place at a greater depth. Otherwise, the pressure might have killed his Avatars.

Kyle's Divine Consciousness couldn't penetrate far into the solid ground, but he could still see something that caused another wave of relief to wash over him.

There were materials, valuables, and Energy Stones buried right beside him. Naturally, these things didn't occur naturally, and since his Soul Space was still intact, these things could have only come from one other place.

Kyle remembered how Red had used Karmic Calamity with an illusory hammer before Blue had been hit by the Last Light. Since he hadn't died, the illusory hammer hadn't dispersed, which meant that it had hit the Minor Immortal.

While it had just been an illusory attack, Karmic Calamity had used an amount of Energy equivalent to an Adept Immortal. Karmic Calamity had the power of a Level 9.5 Law. Meanwhile, the Minor Immortal had only had two remaining Avatars, and both of them had only 10% of their Energy left.

There was absolutely no chance that the Minor Immortal had survived the attack. Karmic Calamity had killed all of his Avatars.

Kyle didn't immediately take inventory of his gains. Instead, he sighed, trying to calm down.

'When was the last time I've come this close to death?' he thought. 'I don't exactly know what has led to this, but my instincts tell me that I'm only alive due to sheer luck.'

Kyle's instincts were right. If the Abyss Hammer Team had immediately supported the Karmic Hammer Team, their Energy would have been used by Kyle's Infused Law. Even with the extra Energy, the Last Light would have only been weakened to around 40% to 50% of its original power.

The delay and the fact that he had incorporated the Major Law of Death in his universe were the reason why he was alive. On top of that, if the explosions of Brutality had been just a bit stronger, the entire mirror image could have been destroyed. This would have killed the Karmic Hammer Team.

'Without the Abyss Hammer Team, I would have died. If I had just been a regular Seeker, the Last Light would have killed me.'

'I was fucking lucky... although, maybe I wasn't lucky. I'm lucky that I'm still alive, but how can I be considered lucky when I've been the target of a Last Light? These things are super fucking illegal! Merely carrying one in your Soul Space is risky! What if the Avatar who carries it dies? The other side would find the Last Light in all of the loot, and as long as they report you, all of your other Avatars will die as well! Also, what if anyone sees you activating it?! Again, all of your Avatars would die!'

'Even more, this Last Light was definitely made by the Cult! If you want one, you literally have to trade with the Cult, which means you have to meet them! You actively have to meet one of their agents!'

'I refuse to believe that it is normal for Immortals to carry a Last Light!'

'What are the chances that I've fought the one guy that has one?!'

Red shook his head, moving the compressed rubble around him a bit. 'You can whine later! You don't know if anyone has felt the explosion. Grab the valuables and act like someone has saved your ass!'

BANG!

Kyle destroyed the rubble around him and grabbed everything of value. He could sense three individual piles of wealth. Each pile corresponded to one of the dead Avatars.

Usually, Immortals left the bulk of their wealth with an Avatar that wasn't in danger. The other Avatars usually only carried the insurance fee and some things that helped in battle. However, this Minor Immortal had arrived with all of his Avatars. This meant that his entire wealth was here.

As Kyle collected everything, he became excited.

'I am fucking rich! I am super fucking rich!'

First of all, all three of the Avatars had carried their respective insurance fees. To become a Medium Immortal, one needed to absorb 12,500 Grade Nine Energy Stones. The insurance fee was always 10% of the required resources to advance per Avatar. For three Avatars...

That was 3,750 Grade Nine Energy Stones.

However, the Minor Immortal had also owned an additional 550 Energy Stones, pushing the total to 4,300 Energy Stones!

On top of that, the Minor Immortal had owned several Time and Gravity Comprehension Fruits. Even more, these were not the cheap ones that Kyle knew, but the good ones. They supported the comprehension of Level Eight Laws, and each one would remain effective for a thousand years when consumed. All of the fruits combined were probably worth another 2,000 Energy Stones!

Finally, there were some scattered materials, but they were "only" worth a couple of hundred Grade Nine Energy Stones.

As Kyle looked at his newfound wealth, he grew a bit nervous.

'How should I explain this?' he thought. 'There are some nosy and sharp people in Wild's Summit. If my cover story is that I've been saved by someone, this won't work. If someone else killed him, they would've also taken the valuables.'

Kyle sighed as some distant memories from Earth shot through his mind.

'Guess I have to do the same thing I've done on Earth.'

'Money laundering.'
