Chapter 796: Running Rings Around You

Dong Chengyue, Qin Mengxue, and the others exchanged a glance, their eyes revealing their joy.

Ren Xudong wanted to make a sarcastic comment, but Dong Chengyue glared him into silence.

Dong Chengyue dropped her flirtatious demeanor and said with a serious expression, “No problem. Although these Fierce Beasts are formidable, with the four of us and our Cultivation, holding them off for a while won’t be an issue… But you need to be clear about exactly how long that will be.”

Shen Lang pondered for a moment before saying, “Twenty minutes. Give me just twenty minutes, and I can throw this Grand Array into chaos. During that window, everyone can charge out of here!”

“Twenty minutes… The pressure on us will be immense! What if you can’t break it?” Ren Xudong said grimly.

And the closer they got to the exit, the more powerful the Fierce Beasts emerging from the stone pillars became.

The calmer and more composed Shen Lang appeared, the more believable his claim of breaking the array seemed.

Even Ren Xudong was now starting to believe that Shen Lang might actually be able to do it.

“Let’s begin,” Shen Lang said flatly and stepped out of the light barrier.

The others emerged at the same time. Instantly, powerful Fierce Beasts began to fly out from the stone pillars in the hall, charging violently toward them.

For a moment, the hall was filled with heaven-shaking beast roars, the stench of blood, and an overwhelming, ferocious aura!

The four Emperor Martial Realm experts retreated several hundred meters toward the entrance and began to systematically fend off the swarming Fierce Beasts.

Shen Lang, however, led a terrified Monk Bu Se back toward the wall at the entrance.

This move stunned not only Monk Bu Se, but Dong Chengyue’s group as well.

‘Shouldn’t breaking an array be done from the middle, or near the exit?’

‘Why did he run back to the entrance?’

‘That entrance was sealed shut long ago, wasn’t it?’

They watched as Shen Lang channeled Spiritual Power into his palms and began to strike the wall repeatedly.

With each strike, the wall emitted a sound like a great bell being struck, sending ripples of light spreading outwards.

“This kid really has some skills! We attacked that wall before, but our Palm Force was just deflected by the Restriction on it. We never saw a phenomenon like this! It seems he really understands this Array and was able to find a flaw!”

Dong Chengyue and the others noticed the activity and became ecstatic.

Twenty minutes passed quickly.

Just as he’d said, a change occurred on the once-blank wall. A shimmering, translucent screen of light appeared.

“Come and help,” Shen Lang called Monk Bu Se over.

Monk Bu Se, who had been watching the spectacle, hurried forward.

“What should I do?” Monk Bu Se asked nervously.

A sharp glint flashed in Shen Lang’s eyes. “Place both hands on the center of this ring of light and don’t move.”

Monk Bu Se did as he was told, placing his hands on the ring of light. Just as he was about to speak, he saw Shen Lang unleash a palm strike with what looked like his full power, hitting the edge of the ring!

The ring of light immediately began to spin violently like a whirlpool!

Before Monk Bu Se could utter a single word, he was sucked in by an immense force!

Without a moment’s hesitation, Shen Lang stepped into the vortex and vanished in the blink of an eye!

“What the…”

Dong Chengyue’s group was flabbergasted. They immediately abandoned the Fierce Beasts they were fighting and charged over at incredible speed!

However, they had barely taken two steps when, the instant after Shen Lang disappeared, the vortex vanished without a trace. POP!

Not a single glimmer of light remained on the solid wall!

“That damn kid! He dared to use us! Don’t let me ever see you again! If I do, I will kill you!”

Dong Chengyue shrieked, her hands striking out wildly, instantly blasting an approaching Fierce Beast into mist!

Ren Xudong immediately started shouting, “See? See? I told you there was something wrong with that kid, but you wouldn’t believe me!”

“Next time I see him, I’ll perform Soul Extraction and Refining on him for a thousand years to quell the hatred in my heart!”

Qin Mengxue, her expression ugly, glanced at the ever-increasing number of Fierce Beasts behind them and said, equally furious, “Back to the light barrier! Now!”

Played for fools by Shen Lang, the four Emperor Martial Realm experts scrambled back to the original light barrier in a rage.

Meanwhile, back at the original entrance to the hall, Shen Lang and Monk Bu Se emerged completely unscathed.

“Amitabha! We got out just like that? Huh? We’re back at the entrance? Grandmaster, you’re just too incredible…” Monk Bu Se said, patting his chest, his heart still pounding with fear.

No sooner had he said this than Monk Bu Se’s face fell. “Grandmaster, you tricked four Emperor Martial Realm experts like that… next time we run into them, won’t we be…”
