Stuck in an Island with Twelve Beautiful Women
Chapter 1783
Later that evening, while everyone rested beneath the stars, Jude wandered toward the shoreline.
The sea was calm.
Almost perfectly still.
As he stared across the endless water, something unexpected happened.
The ocean reflected not the moon...
...but another island.
It floated upside down within the water’s surface.
Mountains hung beneath its sky.
Waterfalls poured upward.
Golden forests glowed beneath unfamiliar stars.
Jude blinked.
The vision remained.
Behind him, Grace approached quietly.
"You see it too?"
He nodded.
"What is it?"
Before either of them could answer, Sol appeared beside them.
His expression was more serious than they had ever seen.
"That..."
he whispered,
"...is where the island came from."
Grace frowned.
"I thought there was no escape."
"There isn’t."
Sol kept watching the impossible reflection.
"But there are still visitors."
The reflection rippled.
For a single heartbeat, thirteen distant figures appeared on the opposite shore of that strange mirrored world.
They were watching Jude and his family.
Then the vision vanished.
The sea became ordinary once more.
For the first time in many years, the island had answered one mystery...
Only to reveal an even greater one.
The next morning arrived without a sunrise.
Instead, the sky slowly bloomed from deep indigo into shimmering silver, as though dawn itself had become liquid light. None of them had ever seen the island awaken this way.
Jude stepped outside their home first, followed by Rose, Sophie, Susan, Layla, Natalie, Zoey, Lucy, Stella, Emma, Grace, Serena, and Scarlet.
The forest was quiet.
Too quiet.
Not a single bird sang.
Not a single insect buzzed.
Then, one after another, every creature in the valley emerged.
The crystal-antlered stags walked from the woods.
White wolves appeared from the hills.
Colorful foxes padded silently across the grass.
Even enormous birds descended from the cliffs, folding their glowing wings as they landed before the thirteen.
None of them showed fear.
Instead...
They bowed.
Every creature on the island lowered its head.
Natalie covered her mouth.
"They’re... greeting us."
Sol appeared from behind the silver fruit tree, smiling warmly.
"They recognize their Keepers."
"The island no longer sees you as guests."
"It sees you as family."
Jude looked around the valley in amazement.
"What does being a Keeper actually mean?"
Sol raised his hand.
The air shimmered.
A glowing map of the entire island appeared before them.
Mountains...
Forests...
Rivers...
Hidden caves...
Ruins they had never discovered...
Everything floated above the grass in breathtaking detail.
The map pulsed three times.
Then thirteen points of light appeared.
One rested beneath Jude.
The other twelve drifted gently toward each of his wives.
"The island has given each of you a blessing," Sol explained.
"It reflects who you truly are."
He turned toward Rose.
A warm emerald light surrounded her.
"The Forest answers Rose."
Tiny vines immediately sprouted beneath her feet before retreating into the earth again.
Layla stepped forward next.
Golden wind danced around her hair.
"The Winds answer Layla."
Scarlet laughed as crimson flames danced harmlessly across her fingertips before disappearing.
Zoey reached toward a nearby stream.
The water rose into the air, swirling around her wrists before splashing back into the river.
Lucy touched the shadow beside a tree.
Instead of sunlight chasing it away...
The shadow gently curled around her feet like a loyal animal.
One after another, each woman discovered a gift uniquely tied to the island.
None of them were weapons.
They were parts of nature itself.
Finally, everyone looked toward Jude.
Nothing happened.
He frowned.
"Did the island forget me?"
Sol chuckled softly.
"No."
"It saved yours for last."
He placed one hand against Jude’s chest.
Immediately the ground trembled.
The silver fruit tree burst with brilliant blossoms.
Mountains echoed in the distance.
The sea answered with a deep, melodic roar.
Every living thing across the island paused.
Jude suddenly heard them.
Not with his ears...
But inside his heart.
He felt the rivers flowing.
He sensed fish swimming beneath distant lakes.
He knew where storms were forming over the western cliffs.
He even sensed flowers opening high upon mountains they had never climbed.
He gasped.
"I can feel..."
"The whole island," Sol finished.
Jude slowly looked around.
"It... speaks."
"It always has."
"You simply couldn’t hear it before."
For several peaceful moments, nobody spoke.
Then Jude’s expression changed.
His smile faded.
"There is something else."
The others immediately looked at him.
"What is it?" Sophie asked.
He closed his eyes again.
Far away...
Deep beneath the northern mountains...
Something moved.
Not an animal.
Not a spirit.
Something immense.
Something sleeping.
Its heartbeat echoed through the island itself.
Slow...
Heavy...
Ancient.
Boom.
Several seconds passed.
Boom.
The ground vibrated beneath everyone’s feet.
Boom.
Jude opened his eyes.
"There is another heart."
Sol’s smile disappeared.
For the first time since they had known him...
He looked worried.
"I hoped it would remain asleep."
Rose stepped closer.
"What is it?"
Sol looked toward the northern peaks, now hidden behind drifting silver clouds.
"When the island became whole again..."
"...everything inside it awakened."
Even the things...
"...that should have remained forgotten."
Far beyond the valley, somewhere beneath the ancient mountains, a pair of enormous golden eyes slowly opened in complete darkness.
And the island shivered.
The silence after Sol’s warning lingered over the valley for the rest of the day.
No one laughed.
No one spoke much.
Even Zoey, who usually found a joke in every tense moment, remained unusually quiet as she sat beside Natalie beneath the silver fruit tree.
Jude could still feel the presence beneath the northern mountains.
It wasn’t moving.
It was simply... awake.
Like an eye that had opened after centuries of sleep.
That evening, Sol gathered everyone around the blue-silver fire once again.
"There is no immediate danger," he said calmly. "If there were, the island would have already called you."
Rose folded her arms. "Then why does it feel like it’s watching us?"
"Because it is."
Everyone exchanged uneasy glances.
Sol continued.
"The island is alive. Every mountain, every river, every creature... every breath you take here belongs to one living consciousness."
