Stuck in an Island with Twelve Beautiful Women
Chapter 1784
The silence after Sol’s warning lingered over the valley for the rest of the day.
No one laughed.
No one spoke much.
Even Zoey, who usually found a joke in every tense moment, remained unusually quiet as she sat beside Natalie beneath the silver fruit tree.
Jude could still feel the presence beneath the northern mountains.
It wasn’t moving.
It was simply... awake.
Like an eye that had opened after centuries of sleep.
That evening, Sol gathered everyone around the blue-silver fire once again.
"There is no immediate danger," he said calmly. "If there were, the island would have already called you."
Rose folded her arms. "Then why does it feel like it’s watching us?"
"Because it is."
Everyone exchanged uneasy glances.
Sol continued.
"The island is alive. Every mountain, every river, every creature... every breath you take here belongs to one living consciousness."
"And whatever awakened beneath the mountain belongs to it as well."
Scarlet frowned.
"So it’s part of the island?"
Sol nodded.
"It was born with the island."
"But unlike the Heart..."
"...it chose sleep instead of life."
The following morning, Jude awoke before sunrise.
He stepped outside alone.
Mist rolled gently through the valley, covering the grass like a white sea.
The air felt peaceful again.
He closed his eyes.
Now that he had become part of the island, listening came naturally.
He heard water flowing beneath distant cliffs.
Birds preparing to leave their nests.
Roots drinking from underground streams.
Leaves unfolding toward the morning light.
The island truly was alive.
And then-
He heard laughter.
Children laughing.
Jude opened his eyes.
There were no children.
Only the wind.
The laughter disappeared as quickly as it had come.
When the others joined him outside, he asked Sol about it.
Sol smiled sadly.
"You heard the First People."
"The ones who lived here before the island slept."
"They’re gone..."
"...but memories never truly die."
The days that followed became strangely peaceful.
Instead of searching for mysteries, the family simply lived.
They rebuilt parts of their home together.
Susan and Emma expanded the gardens.
Rose planted young silver saplings grown from the Heart Tree’s fallen fruit.
Layla spent hours atop the western cliffs, learning to guide the island’s winds.
Grace and Stella explored forgotten valleys, returning with herbs and flowers no one had seen before.
Lucy discovered that shadows now carried whispers from ancient places, revealing hidden caves and forgotten pathways.
Zoey somehow convinced everyone to hold a race across the meadow riding enormous crystal-backed deer.
Even Sol laughed as Scarlet nearly fell into a flower bed after her mount decided it preferred eating blossoms to running.
For the first time in years...
They weren’t surviving.
They were living.
One evening, as the sun painted the ocean crimson, Jude stood beside the shore with Sophie.
"You’ve been thinking," she said quietly.
He smiled.
"You always know."
She leaned her head against his shoulder.
"I can feel your thoughts now."
"Sometimes I forget where yours end and mine begin."
Jude looked toward the endless sea.
"I spent so many years trying to leave this island."
"And now..."
"I don’t want to."
Sophie smiled.
"Neither do I."
"The island stopped being our prison a long time ago."
She looked back toward their home, where the others were laughing around a cooking fire.
"It became our home."
That night something remarkable happened.
The silver tree bloomed.
Every branch burst into thousands of glowing flowers.
The fragrance spread throughout the valley.
Animals emerged from every direction.
Birds nested in its branches.
Foxes curled beneath its roots.
Even the crystal-antlered stags approached without fear.
Sol watched silently.
"The island is celebrating."
"Celebrating what?" Serena asked.
"The end of its loneliness."
As midnight approached, a gentle rain began to fall.
Not water.
Tiny points of silver light drifted from the sky like glowing snow.
Whenever one touched the ground, a flower bloomed instantly.
Whenever one landed upon someone’s skin, it dissolved into warmth.
The thirteen walked through the valley together, hand in hand.
Nobody spoke.
They simply watched their home become more beautiful with every passing moment.
Jude realized something then.
For years, they had searched the island for answers.
For treasures.
For secrets.
But the greatest treasure had never been hidden in a cave.
It had been the people walking beside him.
Near dawn, Sol asked everyone to gather beneath the Heart Tree one final time.
The silver leaves rustled softly.
The glowing fruit swayed gently.
Sol placed both hands upon the trunk.
"The island wishes to thank you."
A single silver fruit detached itself from the highest branch.
Instead of falling...
It floated.
It drifted slowly around each of the twelve wives before stopping in front of Jude.
The fruit dissolved into thirteen tiny lights.
One entered each of them.
Immediately they felt a comforting warmth settle deep within their hearts.
"What was that?" Emma whispered.
"A promise," Sol answered.
"The island has accepted your lives into its own."
"No matter how many centuries pass..."
"...this valley will always welcome you home."
The ground beneath the Heart Tree glowed softly.
Ancient symbols appeared briefly before fading into the earth forever.
Jude looked at Sol.
"So..."
"Is it over?"
Sol smiled.
"The journey you were meant to take..."
"...yes."
"You awakened the island."
"You healed its Heart."
"You found your place."
He looked toward the northern mountains, where clouds drifted peacefully over the silent peaks.
"As for what sleeps beneath those mountains..."
His smile grew mysterious.
"It is awake."
"But it has chosen to wait."
"Not because it fears you."
"Because it knows your story has reached its ending."
He looked at every member of the family.
"And every ending..."
"...is simply the place where another story quietly begins."
The valley fell silent once more.
The wind carried the scent of silver blossoms.
Their home stood stronger than ever.
The island was no longer a mystery to conquer, nor a prison to escape.
It was family.
It was sanctuary.
And beneath its endless skies, Jude and his twelve wives watched the sunrise together, unaware that somewhere deep within the ancient northern mountains, two golden eyes closed once again-not in defeat, but in patient anticipation of the Chapter yet to come.
