Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 1953: Convincing the Ogre God

"..." The Ogre God looked surprised. He didn’t expect there to be a deal like that beforehand. "Well, don’t we have the ship already? That’s enough, right?"

"That might be enough, but the efficiency is not. If we use the teleportation circle, I can’t say for sure, but I roughly calculate that we will be able to cut off our costs by 35%. That is just the cost.

"There is also efficiency in time and safety. We don’t need to worry about space debris or anything. You will arrive in an instant without missing anything, meaning no need for people to protect or bring the boat to those planets."

Catalith sighed. She didn’t tell him everything. In fact, she really wanted that defense system, allowing them to kill any aliens without much cost.

If she could have just done that, everything would be quite smooth for them. Of course, their warriors needed experience as well, but they could just limit the defense system or simply tell those warriors to go deeper into the alien’s territory without having to worry about the defense.

Either way, it would be an improvement on an unprecedented scale. Unfortunately, it didn’t seem she could ask Nathan for it.

After all, when she gave a hint that she wanted the defense system or the teleportation circles, Nathan only told her that he would consider it.

Before coming to this place, Nathan didn’t look like he was going to reject that offer if she asked. At the very least, if the price were right, Nathan would be willing to agree to that deal.

Unfortunately, it didn’t look like she could smooth things out this time.

The Ogre God asked, "Can’t we just steal it from him? He’s only at the level of a saint."

"Yeah, but I saw him summoning three gods. His wives should come from the same world, so they must be able to summon gods as well. And he’s extremely clever to the point where I believe three gods are not his limit.

"While their strength is restricted by a certain rule, gods are still gods. If we end up clashing with him, we will need the entire world to join the fight. I mean, all gods from our world."

"..." The Ogre God narrowed his eyes. When Catalith explained it that way, he realized he couldn’t say anything about this. He was really at fault.

Originally, he was trying to scare them or test them, but his actions had really backfired hard.

If Nathan were actually petty, there was no telling what would actually happen at that time.

Catalith let out a long sigh. "Anyway, I have handled the situation for now. I guess we should feel content with what we currently have."

"Sorry." The Ogre God might believe that strength was everything, but he wasn’t so foolish that he thought violence could solve everything. No, he did believe violence could solve everything as long as he used enough violence.

However, he didn’t have enough violence to make things right. That was why the only thing he could do was apologize.

"It doesn’t matter. In any case, I want to talk about another thing." Catalith didn’t choose to continue, knowing that cornering the Ogre God would just cause a massive response.

Nevertheless, she came here to tell him about the alien, not to complain.

"I have met that alien and successfully removed the black cell from its body."

"What?" The Ogre God was dumbfounded. "You mean that little black thingy on their body?"

"Yes. Thanks to him, I was able to remove it from their body. I didn’t know how he managed to discover such a method, but it actually worked.

"Because the alien was quite powerful, it possessed an intelligence rivaling someone like me. I did manage to gain a lot of information from him, but we couldn’t find any sensitive information because the black cell would also gain that information from us. It was better not to risk it."

The Ogre God narrowed his eyes. "Suppose I challenge this alien..."

"You brute. Why is it the first thing in your mind is about fighting?" Catalith gritted her teeth. She felt like slapping the Ogre God, but she knew it wasn’t the time for such a thing.

She explained the true reason. "I’m thinking about isolating the entire planet and creating a small garden for this alien over there. I’ve gained its cooperation. For now, in exchange for information, I will be helping this alien to save its kin.

"Its kin will then create an army so that we will be able to use them to fight against the aliens who have been controlled. Apparently, not all aliens have been controlled. They are still resisting."

"Still? Wait. Doesn’t this mean..."

"Yeah. If they are still resisting, it means that we are not yet facing the alien’s true force. If the black cell manages to control all aliens, I’m afraid we won’t be able to maintain this status quo."

The Ogre God thought it was already quite hard when they were on the defensive. He had to fight from time to time, but if this was not their full power, he could imagine so many worlds getting destroyed when their full force arrived.

The Ogre God narrowed his eyes and said, "So, what do you want?"

"I will need your power and vote to isolate this one world. I alone will be enough, but it’s better to bring this planet elsewhere for observation."

"I see." The Ogre God looked down. "Even if you get my support, it won’t be enough. These planets are under the joint council. You need at least two or three more gods to convince them. Who knows what kind of reaction they will have after knowing about this matter?"

"I know that. Let me handle the rest. For now, I need you to isolate it. Just tell others that it’s under ongoing investigation or something. Stall me time so that they don’t know I have an alien in custody, at least, not the other two civilizations."

The Ogre God looked down, contemplating. After a few minutes, he nodded. "All right. I will help you with that. This is the least I can do."
