Chapter 1954: Fulfilling the Promise

"I’ve finished my discussion with the Ogre God. There are still a few things to do left, but it should proceed smoothly," explained Catalith, reassuring Nathan.

"That’s good." Nathan nodded, satisfied.

"What are you going to do after this?" Catalith asked.

Nathan contemplated for a few seconds before replying, "I am going to visit another civilization so that I can fulfill a promise. Meanwhile, a few of us will probably stay in your place for some time to create that satellite we’re talking about so that we can continue to communicate later.

"Once we’re done, I will go back and bring my people to the next world, most likely the battlefield that Seath is talking about. I’ll think about what to do next after finding out everything about the battlefields."

"I see." Catalith nodded in understanding, noticing that Nathan didn’t say anything about other things except for the ones they had agreed upon.

It looked like she really couldn’t ask Nathan for other things.

"Very well. I will update you on the information from the alien later."

"Yes." Nathan nodded. He personally didn’t care about more information, considering he could save another alien and extract their information later.

But having Catalith as an ally would at least make this world unable to backstab him in the future.

"Also, I will finish the liquid for your future use and see if I can improve it."

"Thank you."

It was a shame, but she really needed to let go of Nathan. This was the first time she saw a human who was willing to share his karma.

Unfortunately, this was the end of their exchange.

Nathan said, "In that case, I will grab my group a bit and take my leave."

"Yes." Catalith pointed in a certain direction. "If you just go there, you will be able to find the portal leading to their world. It will be better if you sneak in unless you want me to smooth things over with them.

"As long as there aren’t many of you, I think it won’t be hard to sneak into their world."

Catalith did one last thing to see if there were any more chances to make Nathan owe her.

Unfortunately, Nathan simply nodded while saying, "Thanks. I will just sneak in with one more person. The rest will stay at your place for a few days."

Nathan was so sure that he wasn’t going to owe her anymore.

"Got it."

Nathan then snapped his fingers. It took him just fifteen seconds before he returned with all the girls.

Nathan said, "Flora, you will go with me to fulfill that promise. Luna and Iris will try to finish that project. Help Machina to handle the satellite as well. Noelle, protect them, okay? Flora and I will be back in a few days."

"Sure." Noelle nodded calmly. She understood that she wasn’t smart enough to think about all this complicated stuff. Besides, she was a knight, so she was more comfortable having a clear role, such as protecting the others.

On the other hand, Luna and Iris had a project to create an artificial body for the familiars so that they could live freely in this world. It was going to be a huge project, but the effect would be big, considering the fact that the familiars couldn’t go too far from them. The summoning link had expanded greatly after getting their divinity, but it wasn’t enough to face the vastness of this universe.

So, they needed a new body.

Of course, they also needed to help Machina to handle the satellite. After all, Nathan really wanted Catalith as an ally. Catalith was both smart and quite trustworthy.

She certainly had some hidden intentions, but she didn’t look like a person who would stab someone in the back, especially when they were in an alliance.

They might be wrong, but that was what they currently believed in.

After giving them their respective roles, Nathan snapped his fingers, bringing Flora to another spot.

Catalith turned to the girls. "In that case, let’s have the alien wait for us and just take care of the pressing matter first, shall we?"

They agreed. Catalith also needed to gain cooperation from other gods for this quarantine, so it would be good to return to their world first.

They didn’t have any objections, so they followed Catalith back to her realm.

Meanwhile, Nathan summoned Mae first instead of teleportating directly to the portal.

He said, "There will surely be a god protecting them, so what we have to do is quite simple. We will just sneak inside. I don’t want any fight or any contact if possible.

"So, Mae will use your illusion to protect our identities. Then, we will enter and just briefly check the world.

"After that, we will return and get paid after accomplishing the mission. That’s all for now. I don’t plan to do anything else in this world."

Flora agreed. "Understood. Let’s proceed this way, and I’m sorry. Because of me..."

If she didn’t accept the absolute ice and planned to make it the absolute zero, they didn’t need to bother with all this.

Mae enveloped them in illusion to blend their energy to the surroundings so that no one would notice.

Nathan could faintly sense the presence of a god, but he was sure that this god came from another planet.

So, he sneaked into one portal quietly while erasing their presence so that when they came through, no one would notice.

They arrived at a small camp. This camp handled a lot of things.

The portal was located in the center of the camp, as a big, muscular man with a metal right arm shouted, "Come on. If you want to enter another world, all you need is to pay me 5 Quintz.

"I will let you in and you won’t have any problems inside." The guy proudly declared himself, and more importantly, some teenagers came to him, revering him..

"Thank you, Mr. Kappolo."

"..." Nathan couldn’t help but furrow his eyebrows. The portal wasn’t protected by any buildings. Instead, it was supposed to be a free portal, where other people could access it, but it looked like this portal had been occupied by a small group of militia.
