Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts
Chapter 1980: Heading To The First Ancient Battlefield
"Died in the Dark Dimension..." Nathan looked down, contemplating. "Their data can’t be erased, so..."
"It is as you think."
"You know what I’m thinking? You’re checking my memory again?"
"I don’t have to use my ability to scan your memory to know what you are thinking. As you suspect, you can’t exist in two dimensions at the same time.
"There are multiple dimensions, including the higher dimension that transcends this universe or the Dark Dimension.
"In that dimension, we are nothing but pawns, like characters in a story or a movie. We may be just their own enjoyment, but that’s not the point here.
"At the same level, two identical things can’t exist at the same time in multiple dimensions.
"There are three things that make up each universe. They are subjects, objects, and principles. Each of them can’t be exactly the same. For example, if Party A has already existed in this universe, Party A can’t exist in another universe. The moment his information is copied by another universe, he will cease to exist in both universes. There will be a gap in his own existence.
"That’s why even Yog-Sothoth, who is aware of other dimensions, can’t go to other dimensions.
"Your plan of using the Soul Contract to camouflage yourself won’t be working. It’s not a matter of the karma required to do it, but the method itself is flawed. Currently, there are two methods that allow you to go to other universes. Attach yourself like the black cell or be reborn completely. You may awaken a portion of your original memory, but that’s it. If you want to return, you have to use the same method.
"The objects can’t be the same either. For example, the Dark Matter in this universe is weaker than the one in the Dark Dimension.
"The same as principles. Similarity is possible, but not such things as a perfect copy.
"Those guys didn’t die because they killed themselves. Their existence still lived even if they blew themselves up.
"They died because they were trying to stop Yog-Sothoth and Azathoth from leaving the Dark Dimension. As a result, their existence got engulfed by the Dark Dimension.
"The Dark Dimension then registered them, which caused them to exist in two dimensions. Because of that gap, they remained in a state of not existing but being alive.
"Even your Soul Contract can’t do anything about it, not yet. Your Soul Contract is a powerful ability that can draw out your karma. You have a lot of karma."
Nathan looked down, contemplating. "So, in the end, karma is still a mysterious thing that might make everything possible."
"Yeah. Sounds about right."
Loki’s last point was about this double existence concept. If the Jade Emperor and the others were still alive, it meant there might be some methods to rescue them.
Would they need to rescue them first before fighting the black cell? If he wanted to rescue them, he needed to somehow have enough power or use the Soul Contract in a more creative way to erase their information from the Dark Dimension.
Then, he could summon them in this universe.
Garuda and Ananta looked at each other. They never thought that their former lord, Vishnu, was still alive.
Nathan took a deep breath. "Okay. Is that all you want to talk about?"
"Is that all you want to ask?" Loki replied back.
"Will you answer if I ask?"
"No."
Nathan really wanted to slap him. He let out a long sigh. "Well, just tell me about the first ancient battlefield. I’m planning to enter. Anything I should know?"
"Hmm. Not much. This place is rather tame. I will tell you the clue to enter the second battlefield because that place is more interesting and not that easy to leave or enter. However, you probably need to survive on the first battlefield first.
"If you want to enter, this is your clue. Luna Eleren, you will be the key to open that place."
"Me?" Luna pointed at herself.
Something clicked in Nathan’s mind. "Formation?!"
"Exactly!" Loki smiled. "Nine stars, seven rocks, five pebbles, three moons, and one hole. That’s the clue."
"Why not just tell us how to enter?"
"Because this is going to be a trial, not a useless trial."
Nathan opened his eyes wide. He figured out what was going on. "Basically, he’s telling you that the seal to that place is like a puzzle or a formation. You are good with it, but since this is a trail, it must be a quite complex formation. You might end up benefiting from it just by solving this gate."
"Can I ask a question?" Luna asked.
"Yeah."
"No, not to you, dear. To him." Luna pointed to Loki.
"What is it?"
"Why do you always say things that provoke others by being an ass or telling incomplete sentences or speaking in riddles?"
"That’s a good question, and I’m not going to answer that."
Luna just stared at him in silence.
"You are not going to get an answer. Even your husband knows that he can’t restrict me on everything because I won’t accept that contract. He only restricts a part of me that he deems more dangerous." Loki smiled.
"According to Nathan, a dwarf used to sew your mouth shut. Since I’m the one in charge of creating your body, I might end up making you not have a mouth." Luna sighed.
"Fine. The answer to your question is... it’s purely for enjoyment."
"No wonder so many people are pissed to death."
"Who? I haven’t heard anyone pissed to death because of me. Well, the people around me are gods, so a heart attack is out of the question. Maybe that’s interesting as well. A god with a heart problem and cancer... No, I can’t grow cancer, and it doesn’t seem to be related to my enjoyment, so yeah..."
"I think I understand what I’m dealing with." Luna nodded in understanding. Her face remained calm all the time.
Nathan sighed and asked the more important question. "In that case, how about you tell us where the entrance is? I don’t really want to waste my time here."
"Go that way." Loki casually created an arm in his balloon form and pointed in one direction.
Nathan kept looking at Loki as if demanding the continuation.
Loki paused for a moment and added, "And turn around and continue in the opposite direction twice the distance, and you will find the entrance to the first ancient battlefield."
Nathan gave a forced smile. "Thank you."
