Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts
Chapter 595: A Man is a Glass of Wine
It was late at night, and the car moved slowly through the bustling streets.
Lin Chu spent the entire drive home pondering this, but he still couldn’t quite figure out why the princess was so smitten with him.
Still, if her position could be leveraged, he wasn’t opposed to the idea.
She was, after all, part of a nation’s royal family.
Sometimes, he mused, many things in the world simply defied logic, especially when it came to men and women.
As the old sayings went, a hero rarely finds a worthy wife, while a scoundrel often lands a beauty. A fine steed carries a fool, and a lovely woman often ends up with a dolt…
‘Besides, with my charm, it’s perfectly normal to make a woman fall for me at first sight.’
‘Women are just fundamentally illogical like that.’
He arrived home.
Lu Ming, Chen Yuanxing, and You Shaoqiang were in the living room, chatting enthusiastically over tea. When they saw Lin Chu walk in, they all stood up to greet him.
“Brother Chu, you’re back?”
“Yeah.”
Lin Chu nodded and walked over with a smile. Lu Ming quickly moved aside from the main tea station, but Lin Chu waved him off and sat down nearby. “You keep brewing. I just need to wet my throat. What were you all talking about?”
“We were talking about low-altitude aircraft. Some small city back home already sold its low-altitude flight rights for the next thirty years. A one-time package deal for nearly a billion… Seems like a huge loss for them, but it’ll probably get flipped for a profit.”
Hearing this, Lin Chu nodded. This was the first he’d heard of the news. He glanced at Chen Yuanxing, asking for his thoughts.
Chen Yuanxing smiled. “It’s great news—a major boon. Of course, the local government is certainly doing it for the revenue, but for the industry as a whole, it’s an absolutely huge positive. It creates a policy opening. It’s likely a pilot program to explore various regulations. If it operates well, a large-scale rollout won’t be out of the question.”
“I’ve already sent people there to look into the specific regulations. They’re the first to take the plunge, so companies from related industries are bound to set up test sites there too. A lot of the supporting infrastructure will probably follow.”
“For us, though, that’s not necessary. We’ve already secured the rights here in Dubai.”
He offered a very detailed analysis.
There are numerous cities back home, and most policies require a pilot program before a full rollout. As the pioneering location, it’s essential for other companies to go there and seize the first-mover advantage. But for them, it was completely unnecessary.
“Alright, I’ll leave it to you.”
Lin Chu took a sip of tea, largely agreeing with his analysis.
“President Lin, about what you said before… Is the matter of issuing bonds still on the table?”
You Shaoqiang chimed in at the perfect moment, a wide smile on his face.
He had been staying at Lin Chu’s house for the past few days, observing the entire process firsthand: securing high-level connections, transferring large teams from back home, consolidating local support, and finally, today’s official launch. After witnessing the whole sequence, what Lin Chu was planning to do had become crystal clear—he was going all-in on the low-altitude aircraft industry!
Besides, given the sheer scale of the operation, he and his father had analyzed it in detail and concluded it couldn’t possibly be a front.
No one would go to such lengths for a scam.
Now that Lin Chu’s goal was clear, his previous talk about fundraising could be considered a legitimate opportunity.
Whether it would succeed or not remained to be seen, but based on the current situation, it was definitely worth getting a piece of the action.
Moreover, Lin Chu was talking about issuing bonds, not seeking venture capital.
“It is. Of course it is. Are you ready on your end?”
Lin Chu regarded him with a faint smile. He wasn’t being sarcastic; there was no need. It was perfectly normal for people to wait and see. Now that things were gaining momentum, it was time for many hands to make the flame burn higher. He was always happy to welcome “friends” of all kinds, whether they brought technology, connections, or capital.
“Yes, we can basically confirm our interest. There’s no problem on my end, and the people I’ve contacted are on board. However, we haven’t discussed the specific financing model in detail…”
You Shaoqiang said, choosing his words carefully.
The matter had two sides.
Equity financing offered both high rewards and high risks. If the venture succeeded, the returns would be immense. But if it failed, they risked a total loss—like cabbage left to rot in the field.
With debt financing, the returns might not be as high, but the principal would be much safer in comparison.
He already had the beginnings of an idea, but he still needed to hear what Lin Chu was thinking.
“I need the Unity Association’s help with a few things:”
“First, personnel. This is a huge undertaking. Even though we’re based in Dubai, many of our people, from the in-house R&D team to the supply chain, will have to be sourced from back home. For efficiency’s sake, we’ll all need to work together on this.”
“Second, the sales channels after the product is manufactured. Whether we use agents or direct distribution, we’ll need robust channels, a massive workforce, and a certain level of political and business connections.”
“Third, and only then, is it about money. Just bringing cash to the table isn’t that useful on its own.”
“So, with all that in mind, here’s my proposal: for the ten billion in capital you’re bringing in, we’ll do it half-and-half. Half as debt, and half as equity. What do you think?”
Lin Chu had already given this matter considerable thought.
An industry this massive wasn’t something he could tackle all on his own.
LC Group was entirely his one-man show.
But with this new low-altitude aircraft venture, which he was building from the ground up, Lin Chu planned to bake a cake big enough for everyone to share. Any capable friends would be qualified to participate. His goal was to make as many friends as possible.
