The Vixen Gets Exposed

Lane slowly raised an eyebrow.

"Getting to know each other?" she repeated.

A faint smile tugged at the corner of her lips.

"Is that what they call it these days?"

Victor immediately looked away.

He suddenly found the floor very interesting.

Violet, however, finally broke under the pressure.

"I’m sorry!"

Her voice came out louder than she intended.

She lowered her head, her face burning crimson.

"It’s my fault!"

She hesitated for a second.

Then, with no way left to escape, she blurted it out.

"I seduced him!"

The room went quiet.

Victor closed his eyes for a moment.

There goes any chance of keeping this quiet.

Violet looked like she wanted the floor to swallow her whole.

Lane stared at her for a few seconds.

Then her expression softened.

She could see the embarrassment written all over Violet’s face.

There was no point making her feel worse.

"It takes two to seduce," Lane said calmly.

Violet slowly looked up.

Lane glanced toward Victor.

"I know our Young Master. He’s not exactly resistant to temptation."

Victor let out a quiet breath.

Relief washed over his face.

"Thank you, Lane."

Lane immediately looked back at him.

A mischievous smirk appeared on her lips.

"Don’t thank me yet."

Victor’s smile froze.

"You’re still in trouble later."

His expression fell.

"...I knew there was a catch."

Violet couldn’t help letting out a tiny laugh.

It was quickly covered by another embarrassed expression.

Skyla, meanwhile, had been standing there in silence.

Her mind was clearly working overtime.

She looked at Victor.

Then at Violet.

Then back at Victor.

Her eyes slowly widened.

A faint blush crept across her cheeks.

"Wait..."

She swallowed.

"You two..."

Her voice became quieter.

"Did you..."

She couldn’t bring herself to finish.

Victor scratched the back of his head.

His usual confidence seemed to disappear for once.

He gave her an awkward smile.

"Let’s just say we got..."

He paused.

"Very close."

Skyla’s face turned even redder.

Her green eyes widened.

She immediately looked away.

"Oh."

That single word came out barely above a whisper.

For a moment, she didn’t know what else to say.

Across the room, however, Ruby and Sasha were having a completely different reaction.

Both girls stared at Violet.

Their expressions were utterly stunned.

They looked at each other.

Then back at their best friend.

Slowly, almost at the same time, they spoke.

"Vixen..."

Violet’s shoulders stiffened.

She already knew what was coming.

She turned toward them with the most innocent expression she could manage.

"I don’t know what you’re talking about."

Ruby stared at her.

For several seconds.

Then she rolled her eyes.

"Oh, please."

She folded her arms.

"We literally saw you go into the changing room with him two hours ago."

Violet’s face immediately became hotter.

Sasha nodded solemnly.

"And with your clothes..."

She paused.

"...and without them."

Violet’s eyes widened.

"Sasha!"

Ruby burst out laughing.

Violet covered her burning face with both hands.

"I hate both of you."

"No, you don’t," Ruby said cheerfully.

She walked over and gave Violet a light pat on the shoulder.

"Well, you certainly know how to make a move, best friend."

Violet peeked through her fingers.

"Can we please never talk about this again?"

Sasha shook her head.

"Absolutely not."

Ruby nodded.

"Definitely not."

Sasha thought about it for another second.

"Two hours in a changing room?"

She gave Violet an impressed look.

"That takes dedication."

Violet groaned.

Her hands covered her face again.

"I’m never going to live this down, am I?"

Ruby and Sasha exchanged a glance.

Then they answered together.

"Never."

Violet let out a long, miserable sigh.

Victor couldn’t help smiling.

For all the embarrassment surrounding him, there was something strangely warm about the scene.

The teasing.

The awkwardness.

The laughter.

It felt natural.

Almost like everyone had forgotten, for a brief moment, that there were more serious matters waiting outside.

Violet lowered her hands and glared at her two friends.

"You two are terrible."

Ruby grinned.

"You love us."

Sasha nodded.

"Unfortunately for you, we’re your best friends."

Violet sighed again.

"That’s exactly what I’m afraid of."

---

While Victor and the girls were wandering the streets of the city, the Willow Family received news of Preston’s defeat.

The patriarch immediately dispatched a few elder warriors of the clan to find the culprit.

It was not difficult for the Willow Family’s people to find Victor.

As Victor never intended to hide in the first place.

One hour later...

Here they come! Victor sighed lightly as he thought.

A middle-aged man with a few subordinates arrived in front of Victor and blocked their path.

He was a man in his sixties with graying hair and a stern face.

He was dressed in fine robes that marked his status as an elder of the Willow Family.

The middle-aged man looked at Victor and the girls and said, "Are you the one who injured the young lord?"

His voice was somewhat respectful.

Not carrying the hatred or arrogance one might expect.

The middle-aged man was an elder of the Willow Family.

Rupert Willow.

Just now, Rupert had scanned the cultivation of the group in front of him.

He was shocked beyond belief.

The two young girls who didn’t look older than eighteen or nineteen were both Spiritual Adept stage warriors.

And the young boy in front was also a Spiritual Gathering stage warrior.

One had to know that Rupert Willow himself was only at the peak layer of the Spiritual Adept stage at the age of sixty.

Rupert was a veteran.

Just by looking at their appearance and strength, he estimated that these people must come from strong clans or sects.

"Yes, I’m the one. Do you have any problem with that?" Lane was the first to speak.

She looked at Rupert fearlessly.

Her black eyes were cold.

"May I ask who you are? And why did you beat the young lord?" Rupert asked again.

"Our identity shouldn’t concern you. As for why your young lord was beaten, it was because he was too annoying," Lane said coldly.

Rupert deeply looked at Lane and the others.

Pondering for a second before making his decision.

His eyes moved from Lane to Victor.

Then to Skyla.

Then to the other girls.

The young man was calm.

Too calm.

He didn’t flinch.

He didn’t show fear.

Rupert knew.

This was not a fight he could win.

"Let’s go!" Rupert said to the other members of the Willow Family.

He led them back to the clan.

A force that could train three young ones to the Spiritual Adept stage before the age of eighteen would definitely be a third or fourth-level force.

He would be an idiot to offend them.

The Willow Family members retreated.

Their footsteps were hurried.

Rupert’s sudden withdrawal surprised the crowd.

Even Victor was a little surprised.

This was something completely out of his expectation.

Victor watched the Willow Family members retreat and shrugged.

"Well, that was anticlimactic."

Lane smirked.

"They knew better than to start a fight they couldn’t win."

Violet, Ruby, and Sasha stared in disbelief.

"That’s it? They just... left?" Violet asked.

"I guess they have some brains after all," Victor said with a shrug.

"Now, shall we continue our shopping? I believe someone still owes me a dress."

He grinned at Violet, who blushed deeply.
