Supreme Sword Exalt
Chapter 464 - I Don’t Like Looking Up at Others
Seeing the few people stunned, Gu Han smiled faintly. “Take it. Others worked hard to get the sword back for you, so you can’t let their kindness go to waste!”
The young man dazedly took the sword. “I... T-thank you.”
The opposing cultivator feigned displeasure. “What nonsense! I admit my mouth is a bit sharp, but I’ve never been able to bear seeing the weak suffer since I was born!”
Then, he glanced at Gu Han expectantly. “Don’t you agree?”
“Not bad.”
“Will you spare me?”
Gu Han smiled, patting his shoulder, which made him tremble. “How could I?! Did you forget? You still owe me a saint herb. Live well, and repay your debt in the future.”
The man was moved almost to tears. “I promise! I will definitely live well!”
Gu Han then ignored him. After a moment’s thought, he also gave the border army a bunch of pills and some instructions, then left again.
The man who had given up the sword breathed a long sigh of relief, then asked the border army. “Do you know him?”
The leading young man was full of worship and fanaticism. “Of course! That’s our Vanguard Gu!”
He knew right away that the man submitted because of Gu Han. He felt honored. Indeed, Vanguard Gu is the strongest no matter where he goes!

Gu Han began looking for Feng xi again. However, after walking a short distance, he stopped once more. Gentle and refined, a white-clad young man stood ahead, his gaze solemn. It was Luo Wushuang!
Luo Wushuang didn’t seem surprised. “Gu Han, we meet again.”
Gu Han got straight to the point. “What were you doing at Tianji Valley?”
Mei Yun had told him that a young man had stayed in Tianji Valley for ten years. The unlucky former instructor didn’t know what the young man was up to. Without even thinking, Gu Han guessed the young man’s identity. Besides Luo Wushuang, who else would play the guessing essence crystal game? Even though Gu Han had only met him once, he knew far too much about Luo Wushuang’s affairs.
Among all the opponents he had encountered, Luo Wushuang was the only one he couldn’t figure out. Even now, Gu Han still couldn’t tell whether he was a friend or foe.
“Solving a problem.”
“What problem?”
“My problem.”
Gu Han felt that when it came to stating the obvious, Luo Wushuang was the only one who could rival that old monk.
Luo Wushuang smiled. “Don’t overthink it. For now, we won’t become enemies.”
“For now?”
Luo Wushuang sighed. “Strictly speaking, you and I are both within the game of chess. It’s just that you cannot be found on this chessboard. I’m different... I must first jump out. As long as you remain undetected, even a mere chess piece could overturn this game!”
“Who’s playing chess?”
“Can an ant understand the existence of a cultivator?” Luo Wushuang shook his head. “No, they can’t, so telling you is useless. I can’t understand either.”
Gu Han finally couldn’t help it. “Can you speak normally?”
Luo Wushuang pointed into the distance and laughed. “Junior Sister Murong and the others have also come. They’re just ahead. It looks like they’ve run into some trouble. Won’t you go check it out?”
Gu Han’s heart tightened. “Sister Murong?”
Instinctively feeling that Luo Wushuang wouldn’t lie to him, Gu Han left immediately. Luo Wushuang did the same. He made no attempt to compete for the treasures, and the others likewise avoided provoking him.
On the way, his right hand gently formed a strange hand seal, which was also a type of heavenly secret art. Wisps of gray aura continuously emanated from the outer domain cultivators, while the natives showed no such change. The wisps gathered in his hand, quickly condensing into a ball the size of a pigeon's egg.
He paused. “Not enough. Still lacking quite a bit.”
Then, he turned to a few outer domain people who were breaking a restriction not far away. With a slight flicker, he landed before them.
“Everyone, would you be interested in playing a game with me?” He slowly extended his right hand. “Guess. Is there one or two essence crystals in my hand? Guess correctly, and the True Item is yours. Guess wrong and it’ll be mine.”
The few looked at each other. Where did this fool come from? Is he sick in the head?
Someone said impatiently, “Get lost! You’ll be sorry if you get in our way!”
Luo Wushuang thought for a moment. “Fine. Since you’re unwilling to guess, then this True Item will be mine.”
A powerful aura exploded. The few people screamed, spitting blood as they flew backward, heavily crashing to the ground.

As Gu Han sped along, he quickly approached the direction Luo Wushuang had indicated. Along the way, everyone could only see an afterimage flash by, unable to catch his figure.
In a moment, Gu Han heard sounds of arguing and cursing.
Beneath a cluster of light mist, two factions faced off. One side consisted of five or six tall, powerfully built, and imposing young demons. The other side was Murong Yan and Shen Xuan, followed by Yang Lan, Jiang Feng, and several other disciples of the Yuqing Sect. Beside them, Ah Man led over ten young barbarians, standing next to the two, full of indignation.
Above, a young, horned demon with flowing red hair was breaking a restriction.
A young demon gazed coldly at the group. “Why haven’t you left yet? If it weren’t for Di Kan pleading for you, we wouldn’t have let you go!”
Even though the place was relatively remote, a cluster of light mist had descended right above Murong Yan’s group. Overjoyed, they had joined forces to break the restriction. Just as they were about to succeed, these demons arrived. They snatched the light mist and threatened to harm the group. Recognizing Gu Han's allies, Di Kan stepped in.
The red-haired, horned demon was displeased. “Di Kan, don’t forget about your duty to revive the demon clan! Stop protecting these humans at every turn! How disgraceful! I’ll indulge you this once, but not again!”
Di Kan sighed. “Understood.”
Hailing from the ancestral homeland, these demons were extremely arrogant. In fact, the red-haired demon was the future pillar of their clan, having been meticulously nurtured from a young age. His thinking was extreme, his actions radical, vastly different from the style of the Heavenly Demon Valley.
Di Kan looked at Murong Yan and the others. “Leave now. This is all the help I can give you.”
Murong Yan’s eyes blazed with anger. Too arrogant! Your demon clan is already in decline, yet you’re still this stubborn. Snatching the treasure is one thing, but you also have to relentlessly injure people?
The red-haired demon grinned ferociously. “What? Do you have a complaint?”
Ready to strike, his seventh stage of Transcendent realm cultivation exploded, demonic aura rolling off him.
Di Kan was horrified and tried to stop him. “Don’t!”
The red-haired demon waved his hand fiercely, blasting Di Kan far away. “Get lost, you human-loving traitor!”
That was when a shrill noise rang out.
The red-haired demon’s gaze sharpened as he saw a streak of light approaching from afar, instantly arriving before him. “What?!”
It was a several-zhang-long sword aura. Instinctively, he condensed his demonic qi around him, but it collapsed as soon as it touched the sword aura. He spat out blood and flew far away.
Everyone's vision blurred, and suddenly, an extra person stood among them. They were stunned, then overjoyed.
“Brother Gu!”
“Brother Gu!”
“Benefactor!”
Gu Han looked up and squinted. This cluster of light mist was much larger than the others. Within it was a pitch-black, half-zhang-long, double-sided giant axe. Its blade gleamed coldly. The light flowing over it indicated that it was slightly better than the other True Items.
The red-haired demon stared coldly at Gu Han. “Who are you?”
“Come down.”
“What did you say?”
“I don’t like looking up at others.”
That young demon squinted, “What a coincidence. I like others looking up at me.”
Gu Han broke into a grin. “Is that so?”
