Chapter 477 - No One Knows You Better Than Yourself
In the hazy mist, Fatty studied the half-saint herb in his hand with disdain. “So third place doesn’t count as human anymore? Third place only deserves a half-saint herb? If I’d known this, I might as well—”
Just then, a burst of arrogant laughter came from within the mist.
Fatty froze. Huh? Doesn’t this laughter sound a bit familiar? And also...
He couldn’t help but curse, “What are you laughing at, huh?! Obnoxious bastard!”
He felt this laughter was very demonic, the kind that made one want to beat the person up badly. The laughter stopped. The mist churned, and a fat figure slowly appeared before him.
Fatty was completely dumbfounded. “You... you are...”
Across from him, his clone laughed three more times. Cupping his hands, he then clasped them behind his back, posing with the bearing of a lofty peak. “I am Fu Yulin of the Central Continent, Great Flame Empire’s Heaven-Conquering Prince! I just rang the Dao Bell nine times. It’s nothing, really. I stand guard here. If you can hold on against me for half an hour, you pass!”
Fatty was completely stunned. Half a beat later, he asked, “If You’re Fu Yulin, then who am I?”
Across from him, the clone laughed again, his temperament seemingly identical to Fatty. “It’s simple! You can be Gu Han! If word gets out that Fu Yulin beat up Gu Han today... now that would be a hot story!”
Fatty’s mouth twitched. I underestimated him! This impostor isn’t just obnoxious, but also shameless!
The clone pretended to be solemn. “Gu Han, our friendship may be good, but rules are rules. I won’t go easy on you today. Get ready!”
As if unable to wait any longer, a vast saint might descended.
Fatty was taken aback. What the hell? Saint realm?
Only then did he realize that his impostor surpassed him by an entire realm.
Fatty roared, “Golden Bell Cover!”
Golden light blazed intensely around him, condensing into an ancient, dark bell. The bell turned golden and enveloped Fatty. The saint might and the bell collided continuously, producing chime after chime. The difference in cultivation between the Soaring realm and the Saint realm was immense. Even though Fatty’s Golden Bell Cover boasted unparalleled defense, it still shook and wobbled unstably.
The clone raised an eyebrow. “Oh? You’ve got quite the skill.”
Fatty’s face flushed bright red. I can accept getting beaten up by myself, but getting beaten up by myself while using Gu Han’s name is just so frustrating!
He howled at the top of his lungs, ”This is straight up bullying! Why should I take a beating for that bastard, especially from a fake?!”
The golden bell trembled, then began spinning rapidly, faster and faster. Strands of golden light scattered outward, dissolving nearly half of that saint might.
The clone turned cold. “Who gave you the audacity to speak to me like this?!”
Fatty felt this impostor couldn’t be more obnoxious. If not for lacking sufficient strength, he wanted to rush up and smash the other’s dog head.
At that moment, the clone raised his hand. “Golden Bell Cover!”
Golden light and saintly might radiated from him, condensing into an ancient golden bell dozens of zhang in circumference. It trembled slightly, then descended toward Fatty’s head!
Fatty’s bell spun faster and faster, then flew upward. “I will kill you!”
The large and small bells collided. With a miserable cry, the smaller bell exploded. Fatty also let out a devastating cry, blood spraying from his mouth as he flew far away. He crashed heavily to the ground and lay motionless.
“Are you playing dead? You’re trying that trick on me?” The clone saw through Fatty’s ruse at a glance. He sneered, raised his hand, and declared proudly, “One hand is enough to kill you!”
The big bell spun around twice and once again descended upon Fatty.
Fatty sprang up in an instant, moving so fast as if he had never been injured. He begged for mercy as he ran, “Why bother! Strictly speaking, we’re both Fu Yulin, closer than blood brothers. Is there any bastard in this world who would drive his own brother to death—”
The bell stopped.
The clone stroked his double chin, lost in thought. “That does make some sense... Fine. If you agree to one thing, I might consider letting you off.”
“Tell me, tell me.”
“Shout ‘Spare me, Daddy Yulin’ three times.”
Fatty was dumbfounded. He realized he had still severely underestimated the other’s moral bottom line.

Elsewhere, in the churning mist, two Luo Wushuangs stood facing each other. They were both in white robes, smiling gently. The only difference between them was that one had a slightly higher cultivation level.
Looking at the manifested version of himself, Luo Wushuang showed no surprise like Gu Han and Fatty had. Instead, he scrutinized the other carefully, lost in thought. “How interesting. If I’m not mistaken, you should be formed from a wisp of my aura, and you can only last half an hour. Am I right?”
“Correct. Half an hour is the limit.”
Luo Wushuang nodded. “I see. It’s just that you seem to have some flaws. After all, some things cannot be replicated.”
“That doesn’t matter.”
Luo Wushuang remained confident, seemingly very aware of the other’s weaknesses. “Let’s begin. Half an hour isn’t long either.”
Who would have known that his clone did not attack. Instead, he looked upward. “No. It’s also quite meaningless. Whether you can hold on or not, you’re still just acting under someone else’s rules. That doesn’t suit your personality or mine.”
“Fair point.”
The clone withdrew his gaze. “So it’s safer to do things according to our own rules.”
Thus, he slowly extended his right hand. “Take a guess. Am I holding one essence crystal or two? Guess right, and you pass. Guess wrong, and you’re eliminated. Plain and simple.”
Luo Wushuang felt somewhat emotional. He had always been the one making others guess the number of essence crystals. Never had he expected it to be his turn. With his interest piqued, his eyes took on a hint of seriousness.
Without hesitation, he gave his answer. “One.”
No cultivation, and no divine sense. He simply relied on his own instinct to guess.
The clone slowly opened his right hand. In his palm, a manifested essence crystal lay quietly. “You’re quite lucky.”
Luo Wushuang shook his head. “Luck has nothing to do with it. In this world, no one knows you better than me. Besides, you are ultimately incomplete. I know exactly what you’re thinking, but you cannot see through what I’m thinking.”
As he finished, the clone’s form scattered, transforming into a strand of immortal light that slowly settled before him.
