Supreme Sword Exalt
Chapter 478 - The Flaw
Moving incessantly in the mist, Yan Qi couldn’t see a single person and started panicking terribly. “Senior?! Anyone?!”
What’s going on? Is it another illusion?
With a rustle, the mist churned. A crimson flood dragon several dozen zhang long arrived before Yan Qi, a single horn protruding from his head. Faintly, strands of saint might pressed down. Yan Qi trembled uncontrollably, not daring to move in the slightest. He snuck a glance at the crimson fire flood dragon, only to realize how familiar he looked.
Yan Qi gathered his courage. “W-who are you?”
The fire flood dragon curiously examined him for a moment. “I’m Yan Qi. And you?”
Yan Qi was stunned. “What a coincidence! My name is Yan Qi too! I came from the Great Lu Mountains!”
The fire flood dragon was overjoyed. “Is that so?! I come from there too!”
“But the Yan family has a single line of descent...”
The fire flood dragon thrust his large head closer. “It’s too much of a coincidence! I’m an only child too!”
In an instant, the two fire flood dragons huddled together, cheerfully chatting. They reminisced about their days as a small, timid python in the Great Lu Mountains before eventually transforming into a flood dragon. Just as they got to the part about glorifying their ancestors, the time was up.
The fire flood dragon said regretfully, “Yan Qi, I’m leaving.”
Yan Qi felt reluctant to part. “Where are you going?”
The fire flood dragon shook his head. “Don’t you understand yet? I am you. There has only ever been one Yan Qi in the Great Lu Mountains. The two of us are originally one.”
Yan Qi then understood. “Is that so?!”
No wonder every word the other said struck a chord with him.
As the fire flood dragon began to fade, he earnestly instructed, “Remember to bring glory to our ancestors!”
Yan Qi nodded seriously. “Glory to our ancestors!”
The fire flood dragon vanished, transforming into a wisp of crimson bloodline power that was as fine as a hair. With a slight tremble, it sank into Yan Qi’s brow. Yan Qi cried out in pain and writhed in agony. The four bumps under his belly grew larger and larger, as if something were about to break through.
Yan Qi raised his head to the sky and let out a roar. Several light cracking sounds echoed. The four bumps burst, revealing four extremely sharp, bloodstained claws. He had taken another great step forward toward transforming into a dragon, toward honoring his ancestors.

Elsewhere, as one loud crash after another echoed, the battle between the two Feng Xi’s grew increasingly fierce. One was at the Saint realm, while the other was at the Feather Transformation realm.
Her clone paused, the heavenly phoenix projection flickering in her eyes. Crimson flames surged, spreading beyond a thousand zhang in the blink of an eye, throwing Feng Xi back.
Feng Xi’s face paled as she had sustained some minor injuries. However, she seemed oblivious, as though she didn't know the meaning of retreat. A streak of crimson flames swirled out from her eyes, enveloping her. Her divine soul had tapped into the boundless ocean of vital qi, mobilizing all the qi she could control. In an instant, the crimson flames grew stronger and stronger, transforming into a heavenly phoenix over a hundred zhang long.
With a clear cry, the heavenly phoenix flapped its wings, raining wave after wave of attacks down on the other. Unlike Fatty’s, her clone attacked as soon as she appeared. She seemed to have inherited Feng Xi’s personality as well. For several rounds, the two had fought, neither saying a single word.
As they clashed again, the smaller phoenix projection dispersed.
Feng Xi also stepped back, trembling. A hint of red seeped from the corner of her mouth. She had been seriously injured. Nevertheless, there wasn't the slightest trace of dejection in her eyes. If anything, they grew brighter as her battle intent grew fiercer. She had managed to grasp the other’s weakness in no time.
Feng Xi slowly closed her eyes. “You’ve lost. I found your flaw.”
Her clone remained impassive. “Feel free to try.”
Her crimson flames shifted and fused into the space above, transforming into a sea of flames a mile wide. It then split into countless heavenly phoenixes, each three cun long, raining down upon Feng Xi.
Just then, Feng Xi opened her eyes. Two streaks of faintly golden divine flames shot from her eyes, meeting the other's attack head-on. A devastating destruction engulfed the space between them. The countless phoenixes ceased to exist before they could even reach her.

Two Mei Yuns stood ten zhang apart, pointing at each other’s noses and cursing loudly.
“You attack first!”
“No, you go first!”
“Coward, I’ll let you have three moves!”
“Bitch, I’ll let you have three hundred moves!”
“Such a wimp!”
“Worthless!”
Their appearances, expressions, and tones were exactly the same. Only their cultivation levels differed. One was at the Heavenly Tribulation realm, while the other at the Earthly Tribulation realm. Although the two cursed with increasing ferocity and vulgarity, neither made a move, seemingly wary of the other.
Mei Yun was very helpless. In terms of pure strength, he couldn’t defeat the other at all. Since the other wouldn’t strike, his biggest advantage was gone, forcing him to drag things.
Opposite him, his clone was even more helpless. He only existed for a while, and his own flaws were significant. Although his cultivation level was higher than Mei Yun’s, he didn’t possess the strange curse power.
Soon, time passed amid their shouting. As time ran out, the clone’s form collapsed, transforming into a wisp of immortal light that sank into Mei Yun’s brow. A pure, extremely dense wave of soul power replenished his own.
In the blink of an eye, his soul power was several times stronger than before. It was easy to imagine that when he stepped into the Earthly Tribulation realm, his cultivation would advance by leaps and bounds.
Mei Yun was taken aback, feeling a little disdainful. “That’s it? The sixth heavenly pass is too easy!”

“Only half an hour?”
“Correct.”
“It’s kind of difficult to determine a winner in such a short time.”
“Are you afraid?”
Zuo Yang smiled confidently at his clone. “I'm just afraid you'll suffer a humiliating defeat. Never mind, time is limited. Shall we begin?”
His clone also nodded confidently. “Let’s!”
With almost identical movements, they drew the sharp knives from their waist. Then, they also simultaneously removed the large black pots from their backs. Knives glinted, and pots shone. This culinary competition had officially begun!

Likewise, the duel between Yu Miao and herself was not about cultivation either.
Midair, two identical jade needles darted about at nearly imperceptible speeds. The transparent threads behind the needles intertwined, forming two pieces of magical fabric. One was real, while the other was illusory and faintly transparent.
On the ground, the two Yu Miaos’ had solemn expressions. They formed seals at speeds rivaling the jade needles, continuously weaving one strange and mysterious restriction after another into the fabrics.
Yu Miao gritted her teeth. The jade needle was one thing, but she had to win the other’s piece of fabric to make new clothes for Gu Han. I have to win! I feel so bad for Junior Brother... He hasn’t changed clothes in ten years!
Thinking of this, the speed of her seal formation increased.
