Supreme Sword Exalt
Chapter 492 - Please, Emissary, Appear!
At that moment, Chongming’s furious roar came from the distance. “Great Might God-Slayer Sword!”
The giant’s gaze shifted, landing in the distance. “Hm?”
Vaguely, a figure so small it could almost be ignored rapidly approached the giant. Wreathed in endless five-colored divine light, Chongming shot through the boundless divine flames and landed before the giant.
Though the rooster was no more than an ant in the giant's eyes, his sacred aura still drew its attention. “Who are you?”
A streak of sharp, peerless five-colored sword qi shot forth. Still, no matter how sharp the divine sword was, Chongming’s strength was ultimately insufficient against the giant. The divine sword couldn’t even break through the protective divine power covering the giant.
Chongming did not give up. “Great Might King Seal! Great Might Heaven-Burning!”
He seemed to have forgotten who he was. Consumed by boundless hatred, all he wanted was to tear the giant to pieces.
The giant paid Chongming’s attacks no mind. “How annoying!”
A vast surge of divine power, mixed with immeasurable might, fell upon Chongming. Chongming crashed heavily into the ground, kicking up endless clouds of dust. The giant went on to break the God-Slaying Formation.
The ravaged ground trembled violently. A spot of five-colored light shot up from below, and Chongming reappeared before the giant. “Great Might God-Slayer Sword! Great Might King Seal! Great Might Heaven-Burning!”
Just like before, another three-strike combo from Chongming landed on the giant.
The giant’s expression turned cold, swatting its arm at the rooster. “Insect!”
Wherever it passed, even space itself was reduced to powder. As expected, Chongming was once again slammed into the ground.
However, after just a few breaths, he appeared again. “Great Might—”
Bang!
“Great Might—”
Bang!
“Great—”
Bang!
After this repeated a few times, the giant’s patience finally reached its limit. It finally noticed what made Chongming so special. The rooster feared neither divine power contamination nor divine flame incineration. Moreover, Chongming was extremely powerful, so much that even a divine clan member like the giant couldn’t help but marvel.
Its three eyes narrowed slightly at Chongming, who was battered yet still stood before him. “No matter how special an ant is, it is still just an ant! You think you alone can stop me?”
The red divine flames continued to spread in the extreme distance. As they fed on life force, they grew ever more intense and faster, nearly boundless at a glance. The world seemed to hold only two colors: gray-white and red.
The cataclysm threatened to engulf the five domains, and the Central Continent was merely the beginning...

In the southern part of the Central Continent, over a dozen figures fled in disarray into the distance, wailing incessantly.
“It’s gone!”
“It’s all gone!”
The divine flames pursued relentlessly behind them, consuming countless cultivators and living beings in their path. They were getting closer and closer to the group.
Suddenly, one person shouted, “President, forget about us! Just save yourself!”
These people were the high-ranking members of the Tian Yun Merchant Association’s main headquarters. Leading them was the mysterious president, whose cultivation was at the Ascension realm. Earlier, the giant had appeared too abruptly, and the divine flames were too much to bear. Aside from them, no one else had managed to escape. Over ninety percent of their assets ceased to exist.
The president looked at the remaining few personnel, his heart bleeding. “This is too much! How could this happen?!”
The goods were gone, and so were the people. His organization was formidable, and had never suffered such a great loss.
He stopped in his tracks and bellowed at the crowd, “You all go first! He destroyed the Tian Yun Merchant Association! I will make him pay!”
The crowd was stunned, and they instinctively thought he had lost his mind, Even if you’re at the Ascension realm, you’re still just an ant before him!
The president roared again, “Go or it will be too late!”
The crowd dared not disobey his orders and could only leave, inwardly sighing with regret. President is definitely going to die!
After seeing the crowd leave, the president gritted his teeth and produced a palm-sized jade token of unknown material. Immediately, an intensely cold and sinister aura fell upon the scene, and even he couldn’t help but shudder. The token itself was shaped like the face of a ghostly revenant that had failed to pass on. Its eyes were tightly shut, exuding a hint of strangeness and mystery.
Without hesitation, he spat a mouthful of blood onto the jade token. The token’s eyes slowly opened. The president rapidly aged, his hair greying considerably.
Yet as if oblivious, he bowed deeply to the token, reciting a complex incantation, “I beg the emissary to appear!”
The ghostly eyes turned red as if coming alive. Then, two powerful auras—one black and one white—emerged from them. After hovering for a moment, two figures materialized and landed before him—one slender and tall, the other short and stout. Both wore fearsome ghost masks and black robes embroidered with ghost patterns. Whether due to the robes or the masks, no trace of living human aura could be sensed from them.
The president was also in awe. “Emissaries!”
This ghost-face jade token was bestowed upon him when he had joined the organization. Unless it was a life-or-death crisis, rashly using it would invite severe punishment. Today was the first time he had used it since joining.
The tall, thin man looked into the distance, his tone turning somewhat grave. “Oh? A divine clan member? This is a bit troublesome. Old Liu, what do you say?”
The short, stout man was silent for a moment before saying, “Do it...”
The president’s heart tightened, and he inwardly praised this emissary’s decisive and ruthless temperament, As expected of a core member of the organization! I can’t even compare!
