Surviving The Fourth Calamity
Chapter 2259 - 834: Igweville
Shaer sneered, her tone full of annoyance: "That woman always thinks she is the smartest and most capable witch.
Unless you completely break her down, make her lose everything, she won’t know when to give up.
Before that, even if she knows I have powerful Divine Power, stronger than Hieronymus who nearly finished her off back then, she won’t believe it until I kill her.
Do you think Igweville is normal?
She thought, after seeing the decent attributes of the demigod-level children she had with Grazt, she’d set her sights on Dimogogen.
The Double-headed Baboon probably had the only moment in his life he fled upon hearing she wanted to have a child with him."
Hill’s confused eyes finally flashed with light... Oh, they’re talking about that Witch Queen Igweville!
Lawok’s student, stole most of his demi-god artifact, even though some were reclaimed by the Sorcerer King, she still held many powerful items.
Though he knew, he really didn’t know her full name was Igweville.
Hill had seen the name Igweville before, noticed it briefly while reading Mage Duncan’s biography.
The reason Lawok couldn’t go hard on this troublesome female student was naturally because the Witch Queen’s first child was with him.
Though Lawok is now a lich sorcerer, at least when the Witch Queen was beside him, he was still alive.
And that Witch King’s final decision to leave him in such a dramatic fashion also had to do with Lawok’s choice to become a lich.
How to put it... Ignoring a beloved wife is one thing, but when she’s completely gone, who will play with you?
Especially when that beloved wife is a witch who could drain a Demon Prince dry.
So, even though Lawok was very angry his divine artifact was used by the Witch Queen to play binding games, he only chose to reclaim the troublesome item back and completely ignored the person.
In this story, though Lawok and the Witch Queen’s presence was strong, most people’s attention was focused on the disastrous arrival of Grazt.
Therefore, Hill didn’t really care about that woman’s name.
But in Mage Duncan’s story, the key figure who made this famous mad Archmage shift from an assistance role in the Knight Corps to an ally of the Demon Army was this Igweville.
A very famous, exceedingly beautiful woman, who even made Mage Duncan’s heart flutter.
Although Mage Duncan originally wanted to balance the forces of justice after their great victory, the final choice of which demon army to assist was because of her.
This made Hill remember her name.
As for why Vikna got involved with this lady... that’s a very long story.
Vikna, a former king, had a mother who was an Otherworldly Witch exiled for using witchcraft, and this witch eventually returned to the Dark Witch’s realm.
Vikna, left in the Greyhawk universe by her, after awakening as a magician, continually saw a dark tower in his mind.
On this tower, King Vikna learned countless dark sorcery.
His eventual transformation into a lich and establishment of the Obsidian Tower forces allied to Mage Duncan’s Obsidian base were all due to those inheritances.
Vikna initially possessed Lower Rank Divine Power and even lost his left hand and eye due to betrayal... To be honest, Hill could really understand the choice of that king’s deputy.
A dark, mad King Wizard is a disaster, and everyone’s only hope was that this disaster would end sooner or later.
But he, now trying to make this disaster eternal... Upon hearing this news, even the strongest will would collapse.
Though the deputy was the one who acted, effectively it was the entire kingdom’s effort.
However, after Vikna fled into the misty half-plane, he encountered another famous figure who plunged the Greyhawk World into chaos, escaped from Mage Duncan’s prison in Greyhawk Castle due to his mother’s interference, Iwuz, and absorbed most of his energy, instantly reaching powerful divine strength in Greyhawk.
Of course, this powerful divine strength was highly unstable, and once Iwuz rose again, leveraging his mother’s power to even trap Mage Duncan, Vikna naturally couldn’t hold onto that energy.
Well... As for Iwuz’s mother, that naturally was the powerful Witch King, Igweville.
Iwuz’s father, naturally was Grazt.
His glorious past, even the conquest of vast Greyhawk universe land, was naturally due to his father and mother being ’close and loving’ over that chair.
However, the good times didn’t last long, and Grazt escaped.
Not only did he escape himself, but he also turned around and locked up Igvill.
The two of them in the Bottomless Abyss were ’in love’ and trying to kill... Here, love is a verb, because during that time, Igvill still gave Grazt two children.
However, Iwuz was dumbfounded by their drama... Why did the endless demon army behind him suddenly stop flowing?
It was for this reason that he was captured and locked up by Mage Duncan.
When Igvill escaped from the Bottomless Abyss, she was stunned to find her son in trouble, which prompted her to lead her infernal army directly into the Greyhawk universe.
However, just as Iwuz managed to escape thanks to Mage Duncan’s distraction by his mother, he was dizzyingly jumping into the Misty Half-plane when he encountered Vikna, who urgently needed energy to grow... The key was that Iwuz still had the controller from Mage Duncan that limited his strength.
Fortunately, Igvill was quite capable. Although the war was not won and the infernal army suffered heavy losses, she still managed to reclaim a large territory for her son.
Iwuz thus became the greatest villain in the Greyhawk world... The famous Skull Avenue in Greyhawk is the must-pass road to his kingdom.
Then, the Lord of Secrets fell back from the not-so-notable strong divine power to lower rank divine power, but his divinity stabilized at the positions of the God of Disabilities, the Whisperer, and the Sovereign of Thousands of Secrets.
This means that, as long as he keeps striving, he can rely on these divine positions to return to strong divine power.
So, although someone like Shaer, who truly possesses strong divine power, may look down on him, people like Hill, or divine children and demigods, when talking about him, would still refer to him as possessing strong divine power... Can’t be helped, Vikna’s ears are really sensitive.
Especially in a world where his incarnation may exist, Vikna’s subartifact... the Ear of Vikna, which can listen to the sounds of all things, is certainly everywhere.
Hill definitely dislikes people like Vikna, but he will not offend him over such a trivial matter.
He also knows that while sitting beside Shaer, who clearly wants to cause trouble for Vikna, Vikna will inevitably still see him as an enemy regardless of his good attitude.
Hill also feels a bit hypocritical about himself, but he just doesn’t want to take on any unnecessary responsibilities.
Especially when initiating a war, he absolutely wants to be ’innocently dragged into’ it.
Hill feels that William also has a bit of this tendency.
Both come from the same place... Whoever acts first bears the responsibility, which seems ingrained in their bones.
However, Hill can still understand Shaer’s reluctance.
From Igvill’s past stories, one can tell how arrogant this Witch Master is.
If there’s anyone who would bypass Shaer’s threats and cooperate with those Shadow Wraiths, Igvill is indeed the most likely candidate.
She probably is the one who helped the Shadow Wraiths control Shaer’s spies placed there.
How should I put it... This person controls dark spells, and she’s really good at some flesh modifications.
She and Grazt’s children are not only Iwuz, and Iwuz, who can become one of the strongest villains in the Greyhawk universe, is not their strongest child.
She fulfills many conditions completely.
And one thing, everyone knows, Igvill’s spell talents are only at Kelben’s level.
She reached her limit early on, but unlike Kelben, Igvill found a way around her limit sooner.
However, this kind of power depends too much on others’ ’willingness’, and after losing that chair, with Dimogogan not taking the bait, Igvill therefore chose to act on souls.
Hmm... This makes it understandable why Glaysia would willingly participate in this experiment.
Even though she’s always eyeing the Demon Princes of the Bottomless Abyss, and her sons generally lead the demon army, she herself belongs to Hell.
Even if she doesn’t like Hell much, at least Igvill doesn’t want Hell to collapse.
It seems that even if Glaysia is a bit of a burden to her father, she hasn’t reached the point of being a dead burden.
No wonder Glaysia’s alchemy method resembles the Old Witch’s... Although Igvill is Lalock’s student, she is essentially a witch.
Compared to the alchemy that requires careful and meticulous research to understand, she is actually quite skilled at the Witch’s cauldron which relies solely on inspiration and intuition.
Hill slightly shook his head... Really interesting, exchanging back and forth, fighting back and forth, it’s still the same group of people.
