Surviving The Fourth Calamity
Chapter 2260 - 835: Why Do You Only Hate Igweville?
The demons of Teraxil, primarily the Six-Armed Serpent Demons, are also under Grazt’s command.
The first world they encountered after leaving Teraxil was Gerns, and it seems the Demon Army is connected to Grazt as well.
Not to mention Toril.
The Undead Tribe fought fiercely at Hell’s Gate, but in the end, Valkin’s treachery led to mutual destruction, with Grazt on the other side.
Lawok and the Witch Queen never appeared, yet it felt as if they were always lurking.
Like Rose, Grazt almost permeated Hill’s entire journey.
As for Dimogogan... although his subordinates kept showing up, they never actually clashed with the Undead Tribe when it mattered.
Despite being the main reason for Teraxil’s misfortune, blaming him seems quite odd.
After all, Dimogogan only trusts his fists, believing no one can easily beat him, thus his influence on the Mortal Realm isn’t significant.
These troubles are primarily faced by those at the True-God Level.
After all, the Double-headed Baboon’s strength ranks it at the highest level of the Bottomless Abyss.
Grazt, however, requires external support to contend with Dimogogan.
Most importantly, while both desire the favor of the Abyssal Will, Dimogogan prefers using the corpses of the strong, whereas Grazt prefers sacrificing worlds.
Six Fingers wouldn’t engage in such direct confrontations!
Of course, neither are good options, hardly anyone would want to choose between them... the wish of any sensible person would be to avoid both entirely.
However, for the world, Grazt poses a greater threat.
As for Igweville, even if she initially had no interest in this world, upon learning about the Dual-Core Soul, she would definitely come.
Not to mention, Glaysia’s experiments use fragmented souls of deities, and that’s innately a Moon Goddess!
Though many deities have died at the hands of the Lord of Hell, those born naturally as deities, upon a confirmed death, inevitably dissolve into Primordial Energy, swiftly dispersing, with at most some scattered Divine Core Crystal fragments in the world.
Just like the Sun God of this world, who died straightforwardly, and no Divine Core fragments have been discovered since.
As for the divine corpse drifting in the depths of the Stellar Realm... rather than a corpse, it’s more a conceptual presence.
It’s the Divine Soul that’s crucial.
And a Divine Soul, even if exterminated by powerful divine forces like Shaer, wouldn’t remain on the Prime Material Plane.
Just like the former Underdark Master, the massive lizard killed by Shaer, it’s still floating below in the Stellar Realm!
So, that Moon Goddess, whose corpse and even her Divine Soul can be fragmented, definitely draws significant attention.
This likely has nothing to do with Asmodier’s abilities, but is related to the Silvermoon Goddess herself... though what she did with her soul remains unknown, not even the divine cemetery acknowledges her existence.
Hill couldn’t help but scratch his forehead, suddenly feeling his mind was insufficient.
When faced with a true conspiracy, he couldn’t grasp it at all.
The reason he could so calmly accept everything on Toril was because he had insights; no matter who he encountered, he could somewhat deduce the other’s origins, naturally without needing to be tense.
But in this world, he genuinely knew nothing.
Thus, he could only rely on luck and common sense to navigate.
As a result, now he could only watch others discuss with his mind blank.
Once Shaer spoke out, he could deduce the causes and effects... but wasn’t that still inferring the causes from the effects!
Tsk, ultimately it circles back to the initial question: who led the Silvermoon Goddess to her folly as a fool?
Though the Silvermoon Goddesses typically belong to the Chaotic Faction, they’re certainly not innately fools!
Consider Toril’s Celene... she’s the epitome of a soft-hearted, confused-minded character, yet everything she does harms others, never herself!
Hill couldn’t help but hiss: "So, what initially transpired in this world led to this outcome?"
"Actually, the truth has been before you all along, Hill," Shaer paused for a few seconds before faintly smiling, "You’ve been searching for the one who deceived the Silvermoon Goddess, leading the world astray.
I realized you’ve been looking for the Mage’s tracks, right?"
Hill dumbly nodded... isn’t that so?
If not for the Mage, how could the world have ended up in its current state?
"This world originally had only two True Gods, the Sun and Silvermoon," Shaer chuckled coldly, "I hesitate to speak of it.
But after all, it is reality.
In a world born with both the Sun and Silvermoon, the Sun God’s importance always surpasses that of Silvermoon.
Yet, in this world’s history, the Sun God’s presence is remarkably faint.
It seems that only the final battle between him and Asmodeus... the decisive battle that resulted in the fall of the sun, was recorded in the historical river of time."
Shaer knowing about these matters did not surprise Hill.
These powerful divine powers, if they arrive in a new world, the first thing they would definitely do is to look through this world’s river of time and space.
The River of Time and Space is indeed not something everyone can control, but standing above the river and looking down at the flowing past is still very easy for powerful divine powers.
But, with Shaer’s strength, could she only rewind the historical footage to the fall of the Sun God?
This is not normal.
"Ha, with your heritage, you probably don’t quite understand what happened." Shaer laughed, "Elves and the World Tree are more biased towards life, always avoiding death.
Only a being of true-god level, whose death even rules out resurrection, would cause such a situation.
Although those who knew her wouldn’t forget her, history still wouldn’t record her.
So, even if she had done something in the past that affected this world’s fate, the river of time and space would not leave a trace of her.
Of course, beings like the God of Time and Space might see some traces in the gaps, but we cannot.
But, Hill..."
Shaer softly gazed into the distance, yet a trace of ferocity flashed in her black-purple eyes: "Sometimes, you can deduce who the orchestrator is from who benefits the most.
Bisozeya becoming an existence akin to the World Master is not just because Asmodeus demanded humans worship her.
She must have profoundly influenced this world in the past to have this world acknowledge her existence... that is a mark that even if found to be deceived, cannot be undone."
"Ah? Hmm?" Hill let out two soft gasps of surprise.
"Bisozeya is a very annoying she-devil." Shaer’s lips curled into a slight smile, "The Battle Angels of Asmodeus hated her to the extent of wanting to watch her die, and not without reason.
She is someone whose words and actions offend more than help."
Shaer gently pointed to the sky with her finger: "Moreover, Bisozeya detests the natural advantage male deities have over female deities.
This likely relates to the powerful Hell’s Royal Family of the past being able to break out of Hell, ignite wars everywhere, and even confront Abyssal Demons head-on, yet she, as a princess, was the only one who had to wait alone in Hell.
After all, she is the only Hell Royal Family member at the lower rank divine power level... and she sees this as due to her being female.
And for the same reason, Hell preferred to choose her husband as the new king rather than letting her ascend the throne, even though several Grand Dukes of Hell were willing to stand behind her in support.
We all know those Grand Dukes of Hell chose her because she is weak.
But in Bisozeya’s view, once she became queen, Hell should naturally bestow her with the appropriate power... if the Bottomless Abyss can do it, why can’t the Will of Hell?
After all, we demons rely on the bestowal of energy from above to strengthen ourselves!
She thought well of it, but unfortunately, she overlooked whether her body could withstand such energy infusion.
Who can directly elevate someone from a lower rank divine power to a powerful divine power?
Not to mention that demons only possess equivalent power, not divine power.
In short, Bisozeya is someone who’s a bit twisted because of these matters.
It’s only natural that she would act to help the Silvermoon Goddess of this world suppress the Sun God.
So, inherently, humanity of this world likely engraved the existence of Bisozeya into their souls long ago... perhaps in a form akin to a lesser deity of the Silvermoon Goddess.
It is also for this reason that Asmodeus was able to have her become the so-called World Master.
Heh~ how interesting."
Hill took a roundabout way to truly grasp the underlying meaning in Shaer’s words.
The vaguely defined image of the Queen of Hell in his mind suddenly became much clearer.
Whether deities or devils, they are, in essence, manifestations of certain human characteristics... this notion suddenly sprang to his mind.
Asmodeus likely understands the shadow in his queen’s heart, which is why he appears caring and protective but is actually suspicious and guarded.
And, raised under such parental guidance, it’s no surprise that Glaysia, with her sheer independence and rebellious nature, and who would even extinguish any trace of siblings with purer bloodlines than her own, behaves in this way... it’s all understandable.
Because her parents truly would set her up like that.
"Is it possible for Bisozeya to really be resurrected?" Hill couldn’t help but ask softly.
"As long as Glaysia remains in this arrogant and rebellious state that leads to nothing good, probably not." Shaer replied decisively.
"So, you haven’t really paid much attention to the issues on the Hell side and just focused on Vikna and Igweville." Hill realized.
"Igweville..." Shaer’s lips formed a sharp line, "dared to lay hands on my shadow charms..."
"If she could act, it must be that bunch of shadow wraiths that lured her in!" Lansendel said with some confusion, "All your shadow charms did was mimic them, it’s natural to be counter-controlled!
Why do you only hate Igweville?"
