Surviving the Infinite Survival Game by Exploiting Glitches
Chapter 254 Of Course I’ll Do Anything That Causes Trouble for the Giant Rat Tribe
Anna Yao: "The Blood Moon Forest is widely distributed. Although the Bloodmoon Clan did occupy most of it at the beginning, they later suffered suppression from the Western Continent because they broke with the giant rat tribe. The Bloodmoon Clan’s territory has shrunk considerably, and they have no intention of expanding it again."
Anna Yao: "So the Bloodmoon Clan’s current territory occupies only one-tenth of the Blood Moon Forest, which means they have been severely suppressed."
Anna Yao: "Actually, after talking with you that day, I was planning to find an opportunity to run away, but later I felt that Xue’e and the others were acting a little strange toward me. So I stayed, and I’ve never used racial perfume. I also discovered that the Bloodmoon Clan members are often injured. I tried to probe them, but their mouths were sealed shut, and I couldn’t get any information out. So I tried to find out for myself. Unfortunately, I had just shown my face on the outskirts of the Bloodmoon territory when I was hunted down."
Anna Yao: "There was no choice but to run away first. I was too lucky and ran too far, and I found this building in the north of the Blood Moon Forest. Oh, right, the Bloodmoon Clan’s territory is in the south. As for those races patrolling over there... there are many, not just one race. I thought they were not easy to mess with, so I lured them over there. I didn’t expect that they were actually a group. I was afraid they would team up and capture me, so I ran away."
After returning to the Bloodmoon Clan, she had found that they had been frantically searching for her. She told them about being chased but did not reveal anything about the building. They did not tell her everything, only that those people were the reason the Bloodmoon Clan was frequently injured. When she asked why, they only said that the other side wanted to drive them out of the Blood Moon Forest so they could take over the whole forest. But she thought it was not that simple.
Anna Yao: "But it’s not a big problem. I’m planning to run away. I want to find a way to get over there and see what’s going on with that building. I have a feeling it holds some big secret."
After reading Yao Anna’s messages, Lin Yun stroked her chin.
Lin Yun: "If possible, could you take some clearer photos of that building next time?"
Anna Yao: "Okay, no problem."
Anna Yao: "I can’t stay in this Bloodmoon Clan anymore. They watch me so closely that I can’t do my daily work. I’m so frustrated."
After chatting with Yao Anna for a while, Lin Yun closed her personal panel and headed out of Monster City. The giant rats who had been checking people at the city gate had disappeared, and the passage had returned to normal. Lin Yun thought and thought but still did not understand what that meant. Hadn’t they said that the escaped prisoners were very important to them? Now they were not even checking anymore? Never mind. It had nothing to do with her.
She strolled leisurely back to the Fairy Tale Forest and then wandered to Bai Yu’s house. Lin Yun was too lazy to knock and let Sang Biao jump over the wall. Bai Yu, who was tidying up the yard, looked up at her speechlessly. Oh well, they were all like family here.
"Miss Shu Nan was taken out by Crocodile Lan. Did you know that? The checkpoint at the city gate is gone too. Where are your men in black robes?"
Lin Yun got straight to the point.
Bai Yu did not even look up. "I know. Not only that, I also helped him out. Of course I’ll do anything that causes trouble for the giant rat tribe."
Lin Yun’s eyes lit up. She had not expected Bai Yu to have gotten involved in this matter. "Really?"
"Really! They’ve gone back to their tribe to recruit more people. As for the search at the city gate... humph, the people have already run away, so their search is useless."
Bai Yu’s tone was full of disdain for them. "Right now, Shu Bei is probably busy framing his good sister. As for those people who escaped, they’ve already escaped. There’s no use keeping up the search. They’re gone for good. But the giant rats will definitely find other ways to act behind our backs. That’s none of our business."
Lin Yun found a place to sit. "Who is it that’s been causing trouble for the Bloodmoon Clan in the Blood Moon Forest?"
Bai Yu looked up in surprise. "How did you know that the Bloodmoon Clan was being harassed?"
"Mind your own business. I have my own channels."
Bai Yu understood. As an outsider, Lin Yun indeed had channels they did not know about.
"Yes, the Bloodmoon Clan did not have an easy time after they broke with the giant rat tribe. They were severely suppressed. I’ve been to the Northern Continent. The Frog Clan was the one causing trouble for the Bloodmoon Clan, but someone must have instructed them to do so, most likely the giant rat tribe."
Lin Yun suddenly understood. "That makes sense. Although the Bloodmoon Clan had been suppressed before, how could the giant rat tribe, with their petty nature, let them off so easily? But it’s been so long. Why are the giant rats still fixated on the Bloodmoon Clan? That’s very strange."
"What do you want from me?" Bai Yu washed her hands and sat down next to her.
Lin Yun chuckled twice and whispered, "I know where Shu Nan is right now. Interested?"
Bai Yu hissed. Although she had been involved in Miss Shu Nan being taken away by Crocodile Lan, she had stopped paying attention after they left Monster City. She truly did not know where Crocodile Lan had taken Miss Shu Nan. "Where?"
Lin Yun whispered something in Bai Yu’s ear. Bai Yu suddenly had a good idea. "How about going out tonight?"
"Just the two of us?"
"Just the two of us."
"Okay!"
Bai Yu had a potion that could help her avoid monsters, so she was not worried at all. Although that potion... well... its effect did not last very long. But it was okay! They could just reapply it when it was about to wear off! It was just a bit of a hassle.
After making their appointment, Lin Yun returned home. She watered the plants in the yard as usual before going to the kitchen to cook for herself. Sang Biao and Tuan Tuan ate pet food and showed no interest in Lin Yun’s food. After finishing their meal, the two little ones started doing parkour around the house, leaving Lin Yun speechless. It was only because the house was big enough that the two of them could jump around. If it were her shelter, it would have been smashing and rattling by now. Oh dear, now that she thought about it, the Ghost Vine was such a good baby.
The Ghost Vine, which had been stealing food from Lin Yun, noticed her mood, lifted a vine, and glanced at her. Had it been caught stealing food? It did not think so. The Ghost Vine stretched out its tendrils, wrapped them around two pieces of spare ribs, and quietly scurried under the table. Lin Yun, who had already noticed, thought: ...Forget it. This guy was not exactly a pain either. Oh well, as long as the kids were happy.
After eating and drinking her fill, Lin Yun collapsed onto the sofa and fell asleep on the spot. She still needed to get some rest to prepare for tonight’s activities. Sang Biao, who had just rushed down the stairs, saw that Lin Yun had fallen asleep on the sofa and immediately stopped. They could not do parkour anymore, or they would get beaten up. He decided to go out for a spin with Tuan Tuan and catch some prey to eat. Pet food was delicious, but meat was still essential.
