Swordsmanship Coach: Kill with One Slash
Chapter 453 - 272: Making a Move
Chapter 453: Chapter 272: Making a Move
After bidding farewell to Hang Lake, Su Xing and Li Ye boarded a high-speed train back to Cang City. This was Li Ye’s first time in the south, so he was somewhat curious about what Cang City looked like.
Su Xing had no intention of keeping him on a leash. After they exchanged contact information, Su Xing told him he would get in touch if anything came up and let him go on his way.
After all, Su Xing had great trust in Li Ye’s character and temperament. He believed Li Ye wouldn’t cause any trouble in Cang City.
After parting ways with Li Ye, Su Xing immediately tried to contact Li Longxuan. Li Longxuan was the de facto ruler of Cang City, and getting in touch with him would make everything much easier.
However,
to Su Xing’s surprise,
Li Longxuan didn’t reply immediately like he always did. The prolonged silence made Su Xing’s heart sink, as this was completely out of character for him.
’Could something have happened?’
As the thought crossed his mind, Su Xing’s expression turned grim. He pulled out his phone and tried calling Su Yu, then Lu Anning, but neither call went through. Finally, he dialed his uncle, and the call connected.
"Hello? Is that you, Su?"
his uncle said, his voice filled with excitement.
"Uncle, I’m back. But I tried calling Yu and Lu, and neither of them answered. Did something happen?"
Su Xing asked, getting straight to the point.
"Sigh, it’s a long story. During the time you’ve been away, Cang City’s special organization went to war with the Spirit Realm and the hawkish faction of the Martial God Hall. At first, our side was so much stronger that we were practically steamrolling them. But then a group called Jile Valley interfered and threw the whole situation into chaos."
The uncle thought for a moment before continuing. He hadn’t joined the special organization, so he’d gotten all this information from Su Yu. It wasn’t very detailed, but it was enough to give Su Xing a general idea of the situation.
"Jile Valley interfered?"
Su Xing asked in surprise. He actually had some idea of the situation, as Li Longxuan had mentioned the name ’Jile Valley’ to him before. He just hadn’t expected their intervention to have such a major impact.
"Then what about Su Yu and Lu Anning? You and Xiao Wang should be safe, right?"
Su Xing asked immediately.
"Don’t worry. Xiao Wang and I haven’t been involved in any of this. We’re still living in the same place and are very safe. As for Su Yu, I remember him telling me personally that he was going to lead his team to clear out an abandoned factory. I even jotted down the address."
"As for Lu Anning, although I don’t know where she is, she should be fine."
his uncle said after a moment’s thought.
"..."
Su Xing was a bit confused by his uncle’s words. Why did he know so many details about Su Yu’s situation, but only bits and pieces about Lu Anning? He immediately voiced his confusion.
"..."
"Su, I watched Yu grow up, after all. But Anning is your apprentice, and a young woman at that. I couldn’t exactly keep close tabs on her."
his uncle said after a moment’s thought. Though he was getting on in years, he had never married, and mentally, he wasn’t much different from a man in his twenties.
That’s why he saw Lu Anning as a young woman rather than just one of the juniors. He thought for another moment and added,
"Su, you know Lu Anning’s talent better than anyone. You’ve only been gone for about a month, but she has already broken through to Tier Six. You really don’t need to worry too much."
"..."
Su Xing fell silent. He knew Lu Anning was talented, but he never imagined she was *this* talented.
After all,
Su Xing himself was only at the Tier Six Realm.
Although his combat prowess far surpassed that of an ordinary Tier Six Martial Artist, in terms of pure realm, Lu Anning was now his equal.
But... Su Xing himself had been the one to teach Lu Anning the sword. When she first became an Extraordinary, Su Xing was already at the Tier Three Realm. Now, he was at the Tier Six Realm, and somehow, Lu Anning was already Tier Six as well. A promotion speed like that was enough to make Su Xing break out in a cold sweat.
"In that case, I’ll go look for Su Yu first. Since I can’t reach him, I have a bad feeling."
Su Xing said after some thought.
He currently had no idea where Lu Anning or Li Longxuan were. His only option was to prioritize finding his younger brother. Su Yu had been in Cang City this whole time; he was bound to know more than Su Xing did.
So, after getting his brother’s address from his uncle, Su Xing immediately forwarded it to Li Ye, then tore open a spatial rift and headed for that address.
...
「Cang City. A rainy day. The abandoned industrial district.」
A thick, purple mist roiled between the buildings of the abandoned industrial district. Su Yu’s combat uniform was already stained black over large patches. The Sequencers from Cang City’s special organization stood back-to-back in a defensive circle, their bodies radiating with sequence energy.
Su Yu had now reached Tier Five, a realm comparable to Li Yu’s before he left. He should have been considered a top-tier combatant in Cang City... right up until these thugs from Jile Valley appeared.
"Team Leader Su! Poison mist concentration to the northeast has dropped by 0.3%!" a burly man named Chen Hu yelled. Wielding dual blades, he was a formidable member assigned to Su Yu’s squad by Li Longxuan.
He slashed out with both blades, cyan cyclones swirling around the edges—a clear application of sequence energy. Behind him stood a woman with pink hair, cradling a massive, pitch-black sniper rifle. This was her sequence: "Black Gun."
