Chapter 481 - 279: A Rare Opportunity—Go for It!
Over the mountain forest.
A group of Wizards floated in the air, each separated by a distance of over a thousand meters, gazing in the direction of the cave.
Those participating in the search for the Highly Poisonous King’s head are from large Wizard Influences, while other Wizard Influences have been excluded, and can only watch the progress from afar.
Sunan and Lize were no exception, watching from afar while whispering to each other.
"The Divine Corpse fragments we obtained in this battle should allow us to trade a large amount of resources with the Wisdom Code, enough to build several medium to large Wizard Towers."
Lize was estimating the profits from this operation.
The battle with the Black Rope Tower made her increasingly aware of the Star Alliance’s shortcomings in Wizard Towers, and she was determined to quickly make up for this deficiency.
This was also her consensus with Sunan.
Currently, the Star Alliance can earn substantial profits each year from the trade in Secondary Magic Stones and Magic Stones, enough to support the expansion of military power and the widespread promotion of Magic Energy technology.
However, the construction of Wizard Towers has been progressing slowly.
Firstly, due to resource constraints.
The resources needed for building Wizard Towers are quite rare and not provided by the Wisdom Code, so they must be slowly collected, or Sunan has to synthesize and manufacture them himself.
The second issue is manpower constraints.
The Star Alliance still has too few Wizards.
Fields such as Puppet Refining, potion making, and magic item manufacturing all require Wizard participation, and there aren’t many hands available to be dispatched to build Wizard Towers.
Of course, the Star Alliance could allow its Wizards to collect resources and build Wizard Towers themselves.
But doing so would slow down the process too much.
It might take two to three hundred years to see results.
The Star Alliance is currently in need of rapid growth, and doesn’t have the luxury of time.
Thus, pooling all resources and concentrating efforts on building Wizard Towers is the fastest way.
In fact, of the eighteen Wizard Towers that the Star Alliance currently owns, aside from the Starlight Wizard Tower, which was self-constructed, the other seventeen were seized from enemies.
If the risks weren’t so high, Sunan might have considered fighting other Wizard Influences to seize more Wizard Towers.
A Wizard Tower belonging to the Star Alliance is still under construction.
At that moment, Sunan suddenly sensed someone approaching and turned to see two people flying towards him.
One of them was a familiar face.
It was Blaise, whom he had once met in the Starry Tower in All Things City, belonging to the Ten Thousand Headed Bird, an entity that, like the Star Alliance, is affiliated with the Wisdom Code.
"Master Sunan, long time no see."
Blaise greeted with a wide smile, then introduced the person beside him.
"This is Master Gavin, the person in charge of our operation for the Ten Thousand Headed Bird."
"A pleasure to meet you, Sir Sunan," Gavin nodded with a smile, observing Sunan with a hint of scrutiny and curiosity.
After all, there have been numerous stories and rumors about Sunan recently.
Especially within the small circle of organizations affiliated with the Wisdom Code, both Sunan and the Star Alliance have gained considerable fame.
Sunan smiled and nodded in return.
According to Cyril’s information, the leader of the Ten Thousand Headed Bird for this mission is a True Spirit Descendant named Gavin, who was clearly the person in front of him.
"The Black Rope Tower acts with brutality and cruelty. Many of our Wizards from the Ten Thousand Headed Bird have died at the hands of those Black Wizards, and Sir Sunan’s recent substantial defeat against the Black Rope Tower was truly gratifying!" Gavin laughed heartily.
Sunan realized why they had suddenly come over; it must have been to thank him.
It seemed that the Ten Thousand Headed Bird deeply detested the Black Rope Tower.
"We were merely retaliating," Sunan smiled lightly.
"Nevertheless, defeating Eliot’s army was something that astonished many," Gavin continued with a few more praises before changing topics:
"But the Black Rope Tower never forgets grudges, and the significant losses they suffered because of the Star Alliance will surely not be let go easily."
Sunan’s eyes moved slightly as he spoke, "Does Master Gavin believe the Black Rope Tower will initiate a war?"
"With our backing from the Wisdom Code, the Black Rope Tower is unlikely to start a war," Gavin said meaningfully, "But it’s inevitable they’ll stir up trouble behind the scenes. Given that, if the Star Alliance ends up clashing with the Black Rope Tower, our Ten Thousand Headed Bird will gladly offer support."
Sunan took a deep look at Gavin; clearly, he proposed collaborating against the Black Rope Tower.
This was indeed good news for the Star Alliance.
Outside the Earth Crystal Plane, the Star Alliance is still quite a bit away from Wizard Influences like the Black Rope Tower; an alliance with the Ten Thousand Headed Bird would ease the pressure in facing the Black Rope Tower head-on.
"I gratefully accept your offer."
Seeing that Sunan agreed, Gavin’s smile broadened.
"As allies on the same front, mutual support is imperative."
Having reached a cooperative agreement, the atmosphere between them grew more friendly, and the conversation became increasingly harmonious.
But just then, an intense burst of Energy Particle surge erupted in the distance!
In an instant, all four individuals turned swiftly towards the direction of the occurrence.
"Such strong divine energy!" Gavin’s eyes reflected astonishment.
Blaise asked doubtfully, "Is it a divine creature?"
Sunan shook his head, his expression solemn, "A divine creature couldn’t have this level of divine energy."
Even he felt a chilling sensation running down his spine upon sensing that divine energy.
"Indeed," Gavin agreed with Sunan, "That is definitely not a divine creature."
Being a Level 3 Crystallization Wizard, he could more acutely sense the overwhelming power and terror of that divine energy.
