Bai Yi stared at Huo Jiyang for a few seconds, then replied, "Commander Huo, the thing that can lower the pollution level is a giant carrot that my younger brother, Bai Jing, bought from a small store in the Interstellar Market."

The second his words fell, Huo Jiyang fell silent as he stared at Bai Yi. After a long moment of silence, he asked, "Captain Bai, are you kidding me?"

Knowing that Huo Jiyang didn’t believe him, Bai Yi didn’t force him.

Standing up, he straightened his clothes, then said, "Commander Huo, seeing is believing. I’m going back to the Bai Manor to get the giant carrots and bring them to you."

Huo Jiyang had known Bai Yi for years and knew that he would never lie. Seeing how calm he was, Huo Jiyang’s eyes flickered with hope mixed with doubt.

After a moment of thought, he nodded. "Alright. I will wait for you to bring them to me."

Nodding to him, Bai Yi turned around and left the isolation room.

Left alone in the spacious isolation room, Huo Jiyang looked at the starry sky outside through the floor-to-ceiling glass windows. After a long moment of silence, his voice softly echoed through the room.

"I hope this time we really find a way to save everyone."

While Huo Jiyang was waiting patiently in the isolation room, Bai Yi boarded his spaceship and returned at full speed to the Bai Manor.

After flying through two wormholes, he finally arrived back at the Bai Family’s main residence planet, Orion Planet, located in the Second Galactic Ring.

Parking his spaceship in the large parking lot outside the Bai Manor, Bai Yi rushed down and went inside the manor.

The servants saw him come in and quickly stepped to the side as they greeted him, "Master."

Ignoring the servants, Bai Yi saw the steward and asked, "A Jing said that he bought something. Have you received the delivery?"

The steward bowed slightly and replied, "Yes, Master. The delivery is stored in the warehouse now."

After receiving the answer, Bai Yi quickly went to the warehouse.

Opening the huge metal door, he saw the big metal box placed inside the spacious warehouse. Walking up to the metal box, he familiarly unlocked it.

Beep. Pshh~! ℯℯ𝑙.

The second the metal box opened, Bai Yi’s eyes lit up at the sight of eighty giant-sized carrots stacked neatly inside. Without wasting a second, he stored all of them in his spatial ring, then turned around and went to the parking lot.

A few minutes later, the spaceship ascended into the sky, then flew away.

Watching the spaceship disappear into the distant space, the steward sighed and muttered worriedly, "Master is too busy. He doesn’t even have time to drink a sip of water."

While the steward was worrying about his health, Bai Yi sat on the pilot’s seat, input the coordinates of the First Military Fleet Headquarters, then sped up.

By the time he parked his spaceship at the First Military Fleet Headquarters, the sky had already brightened.

Seeing him return, one of the staff members working at the front desk saluted him and greeted him, "Captain Bai. Commander Huo has been waiting for you."

Bai Yi returned his salute, then responded, "Understood."

After saying that, Bai Yi walked into the elevator, then pressed the button for the fifth floor. Before long, the elevator arrived at the fifth floor.

Ding.

Walking out of the elevator, Bai Yi went directly to Huo Jiyang’s isolation room.

Seeing him approaching, the two soldiers guarding the door saluted him. "Captain Bai."

Bai Yi returned their salute, then opened the door and went inside.

Sitting on the bed, Huo Jiyang looked toward the door when he heard it open. When he saw that it was Bai Yi, he asked, "Have you brought the item?"

Bai Yi nodded, closed the door, activated the sound barrier, then closed the curtains.

After making sure that nobody was spying on them, he looked at Huo Jiyang and said, "Commander Huo, I brought the carrots."

Hearing this, Huo Jiyang gestured for him to take them out.

Receiving his response, Bai Yi took a giant carrot out of his spatial ring.

Thud.

The second Huo Jiyang saw the giant-sized carrot appear on top of the table, his eyes widened in shock. For the first time in his life, he lost his composure.

"Th—this, this is really a carrot...?"

I remember that carrots are way smaller than this one. Is this a mutant carrot?

Staring at the carrot that was at least the size of his thigh, Huo Jiyang understood why Bai Yi and Bai Jing called it a giant carrot.

Standing beside the bed, Bai Yi calmly dragged the table to the bedside and said, "Commander Huo, this is the giant carrot we are talking about."

Calming down, Huo Jiyang reached toward the giant carrot. Touching its smooth, slightly cold surface, he asked, "Captain Bai, what did you do with it when you saved me before?"

"I extracted the carrot’s juice and injected it into your bloodstream," Bai Yi answered truthfully.

Frowning slightly, Huo Jiyang looked at him and asked, "Captain Bai, thank you for saving me. But... don’t you know that you can’t inject vegetable juice directly into the bloodstream?"

Bai Yi looked at Huo Jiyang in silence for a few seconds, then replied, "I didn’t have time to consider that at the time."

Understanding the emergency situation at that time, Huo Jiyang nodded. "Don’t do that next time."

"Understood."

After reminding Bai Yi, Huo Jiyang looked at the giant carrot with interest. A few minutes passed while he inspected the giant carrot.

When he was done, he asked, "Captain Bai, besides extracting the juice, have you tried other methods of using this giant carrot?"

"Yes," Bai Yi replied. "I divided the giant carrot’s pulp among the sentinels. After we steamed the pulp and ate it, our pollution levels also decreased slightly, by around 0.1% to 0.5%."
