He paused for a moment before continuing, "Just in case they try anything, I will guard the villa for the first half of the night. You guys can take over during the second half."

The others exchanged glances before nodding.

"Alright."

Glancing at his watch, Ye Xuan said, "You guys can go rest now. I’m going to reinforce the doors and the gate outside."

Gu Zhenwei stood up and said, "Then I will head to bed first. Call me if anything happens, Brother Xuan."

"Mhm."

After everyone had returned to their bedrooms, Ye Xuan rose from the couch and made his way to the villa’s rooftop. Crouching in the darkness, he vigilantly scanned the surroundings.

While Ye Xuan waited for his prey to appear, two men who were lurking in the shadows had their eyes on the villa. Seeing no signs of movement inside, they exchanged glances. The two men nodded at each other before slowly approaching the villa.

When they were only ten meters away, one of them whispered, "Looks like everyone’s already asleep."

The other man thought for a moment and replied, "Let’s go inside and see if we can find anything worth taking."

The first man nodded, and the two silently made their way to the villa’s backyard.

Standing beside the tall wall, the first man took a climbing rope out of his backpack. He swung it a few times before throwing it upward. Two seconds later, the metal hook at the end of the rope caught on the top of the wall.

The man tugged on the rope twice to test its stability. Once he was satisfied that it was secure, he whispered, "Stay here and keep watch."

"Got it." The other man replied while scanning the surroundings.

Gripping the rope tightly, the man began climbing the wall.

On the rooftop, Ye Xuan silently watched the two intruders. Seeing the first man climb over the wall, he activated his spatial-element ability and clenched his fist.

In an instant, the space around the man’s throat was torn apart, together with the man’s throat.

"Ugh!"

Blood spurted from the man’s neck as his eyes widened in a mixture of horror and confusion.

Before he could comprehend what had happened, he fell to the ground and breathed his last.

On the other side of the wall, the second man heard the sound of something hitting the ground. Lowering his voice, he called out, "Brother, what happened? Are you alright?"

He waited for a few more seconds, but there was still no response. Realizing that something was wrong, he turned around and fled without hesitation.

In the next instant, the man’s body was split in half, and he crashed heavily to the ground.
