Standing up, Liu Yun casually straightened her clothes and said, "I see. Then there’s no need to continue this negotiation. Elder Brother Ru, let’s go."

Hearing this, Ru Jianxiao stood up and followed her toward the door.

Realizing that she was serious, the stall owner grew anxious. Gritting his teeth, he quickly said, "Fine! I won’t ask any more questions. Let’s talk about the price."

The moment his words fell, Liu Yun stopped in her tracks.

Turning around, she smiled slightly as she returned to her seat. "Brother, you shouldn’t ask too many questions. No wonder no one visits your stall. If you keep behaving this way, you’ll have to close it sooner or later."

Clenching his fists in anger, the stall owner forced a smile and replied, "Thank you for your reminder."

Waving her hand casually, Liu Yun responded, "No need to thank me. Let’s talk about the price now."

The stall owner took a few deep breaths to calm himself before raising three fingers and saying, "I want three carrots in exchange for all the crystals."

Hearing this, Liu Yun rolled her eyes and stood up again.

Seeing this, the stall owner was startled. Before he could stop her, Liu Yun was already walking toward the door.

Afraid that she would actually leave, the stall owner hurriedly called out, "Young Lady, we can still negotiate! Just name your price!"

Stopping in her tracks, Liu Yun turned around and returned to her seat.

As she sat down across from him, the stall owner gritted his teeth and thought indignantly, ’This woman is really hard to deal with! Can’t she just negotiate properly?!’

Unaware that the stall owner was cursing her inwardly, Liu Yun raised her index finger and said, "One carrot in exchange for all your colorful crystals."

After speaking, Liu Yun took out a Basic Carrot from the Multiverse Farmland’s warehouse.

Thud!

The moment the carrot appeared, it occupied almost the entire low table.

Staring at the enormous carrot, which was about as thick as his thigh, the stall owner was stunned. A few seconds later, he finally recovered and raised two fingers.

"Two carrots."

Liu Yun frowned slightly before pointing at the half carrot on the table. "One and a half carrots, or the deal is off."

Looking at the carrots on the low table, the stall owner gritted his teeth before reluctantly agreeing, "Deal!"

Having successfully concluded the negotiation, Liu Yun held out her hand with a smile. "The crystals, please."

The stall owner took the dirty cloth containing the crystals out of his backpack and unfolded it. Looking at Liu Yun, he asked, "I don’t have anything to store them in. Do you have any bags or containers?"

"No need."

Before the stall owner could react, Liu Yun put all the elemental crystal cores into her inventory.

Watching the crystals disappear into thin air, the stall owner stared at her in disbelief. "You—you are a spatial-element ability user!"

Liu Yun stood up and smiled. "I’m staying in the villa residential area in the middle-ring zone. If you find more of these crystals, you can bring them to me."

After saying that, she turned to Ru Jianxiao. "Elder Brother Ru, let’s go."

Ru Jianxiao nodded, then stood up and followed her outside.

After the door closed behind them, the stall owner stared at the enormous carrots on the table. Swallowing hard, he grabbed the half carrot, took off the dirty scarf, and took a big bite without wasting another second.

Crunch!

Sweet carrot juice filled his mouth as he bit down, and he swallowed eagerly.

Glup!

For the first time since the Blood Moon descended, he had finally managed to eat something clean and delicious.

As he chewed, the stall owner’s eyes turned red. Before long, tears streamed down his sunken cheeks. Lowering his head, he hugged the carrot and wept silently.

Meanwhile, after leaving the old building, Liu Yun opened her inventory. Seeing that the elemental crystal cores had been sorted into separate slots according to their elemental properties, she smiled with satisfaction.

’204 water-element crystal cores, 386 fire-element crystal cores, 257 earth-element crystal cores, 198 wood-element crystal cores, 345 metal-element crystal cores, 76 wind-element crystal cores, 54 ice-element crystal cores, and 23 lightning-element crystal cores.’

Rubbing her chin, Liu Yun thought, ’Heavens! This stall owner must be a hidden expert, right? These numbers are no joke! I wonder where he found so many level 1 zombies.’

While Liu Yun was still marveling at the number of elemental crystal cores she had acquired, Ru Jianxiao kept his eyes on the corner of the dark alley.

Sensing slight energy fluctuations coming from that direction, he stepped closer to Liu Yun and whispered, "Two people are following us. Do you want me to deal with them?"

Hearing this, Liu Yun glanced behind them before asking in a low voice, "How confident are you that you can handle them?"

"They should be Level 1 ability users. It might be a little troublesome, but I can deal with them," Ru Jianxiao replied.

Liu Yun thought for a moment before saying, "You’re not completely recovered yet. Let’s pretend we don’t know they’re following us. As long as they don’t attack us, we can ignore them."

"All right."

After their brief discussion, Liu Yun closed the transparent blue screen floating in front of her. She then glanced at Ru Jianxiao and asked, "Elder Brother Ru, don’t you have anything to ask me?"

Ru Jianxiao glanced at her for two seconds before calmly replying, "Everyone has secrets. If you don’t want to tell me, I won’t ask."

Raising her eyebrows slightly, Liu Yun thought, ’Oh-ho? I thought he would ask about the Basic Carrot. Looks like this big boss doesn’t like prying into other people’s private affairs. I like his personality.’

Liu Yun silently awarded Ru Jianxiao a few bonus points for his answer before asking, "Can I ask you something?"

"Mhm." Ru Jianxiao hummed in response. "Go ahead."

With his permission, Liu Yun smiled slightly as she said, "I noticed that you and the woman we met yesterday seem to know each other. Can you tell me who she is?"

As soon as she asked the question, a flicker of hatred flashed in Ru Jianxiao’s eyes before disappearing in an instant.

Liu Yun waited for a moment before Ru Jianxiao finally replied in an emotionless voice, "She’s my ex-girlfriend."

The moment she heard this, Liu Yun’s eyes lit up.

’System, come out! There’s melon here! And it’s a huge piece of melon!’
