Ru Jianxiao recalled his distant memories before nodding. "Mhm. We attended the same high school. The four of them were famous not only at our school but also at the surrounding schools."

The two fell silent as they continued walking down the dark alley.

When they walked out of the alley, Liu Yun looked up at the foggy sky and said, "It’s still early. Let’s explore the market a little longer. Maybe we will find something valuable."

"Alright."

With that, the two of them returned to the market streets.

Behind them, the two men exchanged glances before disappearing into the shadows once more.

Glancing over his shoulder, Ru Jianxiao’s eyes turned cold. Leaning closer to Liu Yun, he whispered, "They are gone."

Hearing this, Liu Yun smiled slightly. "Let them go, then."

"Aren’t you worried?" Ru Jianxiao asked, a hint of curiosity entering his otherwise calm voice.

Liu Yun shook her head and replied, "They are just working for their master. The person we need to worry about isn’t them, but the one behind them."

"Since they are only following us, their master probably has no intention of making a move against us for now. Rather than beating the grass and startling the snake, it’s better to cast a long line to catch a big fish."

Liu Yun thought about her ongoing Hidden Mission to uncover the secret of the new Base Commander of Lie Huo Military Base before replying, "I just overheard someone saying that a new mission has been posted in the Mission Hall. Should we go check it out?"

Thinking that they had nothing else important to do at the moment, Ru Jianxiao agreed. "Alright."

"Perfect!" Liu Yun glanced at the directional signboard before adding, "The Mission Hall is inside the Civil Affairs Bureau, and it isn’t far from here. Let’s go."

Walking side by side, Liu Yun and Ru Jianxiao followed the directions on the signboard. Twenty minutes later, they found themselves standing in front of the Civil Affairs Bureau building.
