Listening to what Ruan Weisong just said, Lian Tianci’s expression relaxed slightly. He scanned Ruan Weisong’s expression and couldn’t detect any lies or deception in his micro-expressions.

A few seconds passed in silence before Lian Tianci said, "Since Captain Ruan has said this, it would be impolite for me to refuse your help."

Receiving his positive answer, Ruan Weisong reached out his hand. "Happy cooperation, Captain Lian."

Shaking his hand, Lian Tianci responded, "Happy cooperation, Captain Ruan."

While the two of them were talking, the convoy finally shook off the zombies chasing after them.

Stopping near the entrance, Lian Tianci and his team members got down from Ruan Weisong’s team’s armored cars, then boarded their own armored cars.

With the Chi Wen Team leading the way, the convoy drove back to regroup with the Black Tiger Rescue Team and the survivors.

Meanwhile, unbeknownst to them, another armored car followed closely behind.

Sitting in the back seat, Liu Yun looked at the convoy of armored cars driving ahead and said, "Elder Brother Gu, we should get back before them."

Glancing at her through the rear-view mirror, Gu Zhenwei grinned. "Leave it to me."

After saying that, he pressed the accelerator and sped up.

Seeing that Lan Zuancheng was busy checking the map while Gu Zhenwei’s attention was on the road, Liu Yun quickly took out the last Invisible Talisman from her inventory. With her attention still on the two of them, she quickly stuck the Invisible Talisman to the ceiling of the car.

In an instant, the Invisible Talisman disappeared.

When she was done, Liu Yun leaned back against the seat and closed her eyes to rest.

At the same time, a soldier sitting in the passenger seat of the last armored car scratched his head in confusion.

"Did I see it wrong?" he muttered while staring at the rear-view mirror.

Overhearing his mutter, one of his comrades sitting in the back seat asked, "Did you say something just now?"

The soldier shook his head and replied, "Nothing."

After surviving a zombie horde, the soldiers were so tired that they fell asleep as soon as they closed their eyes.

Seeing that everyone was fast asleep, the soldier shrugged, then closed his eyes. Soon, one more snoring sound joined the snoring symphony inside the armored car.

While the convoy was on its way back, Liu Yun and her team had already bypassed them and rushed back as fast as they could.

Forty minutes later, Gu Zhenwei slowed down the armored car. Noticing that only a few soldiers were guarding the parking area, he vigilantly drove the armored car into the parking area and parked it among the other military armored cars.

As soon as he turned off the engine, the three of them sneaked out of the armored car.

Just as they were rushing back to find Qiu Sixun and the others, two military trucks approached from another direction.

"It’s those people who went out to find supplies," Lan Zuancheng whispered.

Liu Yun’s eyes lit up at the sight of the military trucks as an idea formed in her mind.

Tugging at the hems of Lan Zuancheng’s and Gu Zhenwei’s clothes, she whispered, "Elder Brothers, let’s wait for them to get out of the military trucks. Then we can mingle with them before we go find Elder Brother Qiu and the others."

Listening to her suggestion, Lan Zuancheng nodded in agreement. "This is a good idea. Let’s do as Younger Sister Liu said."

"Alright." Gu Zhenwei had no objection, so the three of them hid behind an abandoned car.

While they were waiting, the military trucks finally arrived. Soon, the soldiers got out of the trucks, followed by the survivors.

Liu Yun observed them and noticed that some survivors were discussing things excitedly, while others were carrying bags of supplies in silence.

While almost everyone returned with supplies, they also had injuries of varying degrees.

Watching the survivors walk back to find their families, friends, or teammates, Liu Yun whispered, "Let’s go."

With that, Lan Zuancheng, Gu Zhenwei, and Liu Yun came out of their hiding place and smoothly joined the group before going to find Qiu Sixun.

After searching for a while, they finally found Qiu Sixun talking with a soldier in front of a military tent.

"Elder Brother Qiu." Liu Yun called out to Qiu Sixun.

Pausing in the middle of a conversation, Qiu Sixun turned around. When he saw Liu Yun, Lan Zuancheng, and Gu Zhenwei approaching, he let out a sigh of relief.

Turning to the soldier he was talking to, he politely said, "Thank you for your help, comrade."

The soldier nodded, then said, "This tent is now yours."

"Understood."

After the soldier left, Qiu Sixun walked up to Liu Yun and the others, then asked in a low voice, "How is it? Have you guys found any supplies?"

Grabbing his wrist, Lan Zuancheng whispered, "This is not a good place to talk."

Noticing his tense expression, Qiu Sixun said, "Let’s go inside first."

Pulling Lan Zuancheng, he returned to the tent, followed by Gu Zhenwei and Liu Yun.

The military tent was not large, but it was spacious enough to accommodate six people.

Stepping into the tent, Liu Yun saw that Ye Xuan had finally woken up. As their eyes met in the air, she paused in her tracks for a second. She looked away, then found a seat near the entrance.

After everyone sat in a circle, Ye Xuan said, "Everyone, thank you for the hard work."

Hearing this, Gu Zhenwei grinned at him. "Brother Xuan, what are you saying? Since when have you become so polite to us?"

Ye Xuan looked at him for a second, then turned to Lan Zuancheng and asked, "Are you guys injured?"

Ignored by him, Gu Zhenwei was stunned for a second, then pouted. "Hmph! Brother Xuan only cares about Brother Cheng!"

Watching their interaction, Liu Yun couldn’t help but think, ’They really don’t seem like villains to me. I wonder what will happen to them in the future that will turn these kind people into villains.’
