Ten Matches, Ten Sweeps

A violent gust swept across the entire arena. A terrifying yet majestic aura surged upward like a rising tide.

A stunning woman rose slowly into the air.

Her silver-white hair streamed behind her in the wind, and the light of the arena reflected across her porcelain-like skin. For a brief moment, the noisy battlefield seemed to fade into the background.

In that moment, she was like a goddess descending upon the mortal realm—her blade sweeping across the battlefield, cutting down everything in her path.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

In an impossibly short time, Selena unleashed several rapid slashes.

Each slash carried frightening power.

The air screamed.

Invisible blade energy ripped through the arena, and the protective barrier around the stage trembled violently.

Countless examinees were thrown into the air, blasted off the stage by the explosive shockwave!

Some barely managed to protect themselves before being sent flying.

Others didn’t even have time to react.

The arena was cleared in an instant.

Only a few stubborn students remained, desperately holding on.

Their feet scraped against the ground.

Their faces had gone pale.

One student grabbed the edge of the arena’s barrier with both hands, his fingers trembling.

They had no choice—the placement match had only been going for a few minutes!

If they fell now, what would happen to their scores?

They had fought this hard just to collect points.

Nobody wanted to watch their hard-earned score disappear because they couldn’t survive a few more minutes.

Then—

A shadow suddenly covered the arena.

The remaining students looked up.

Suddenly—a massive web descended from above.

Several agile "rats" were caught in its sticky embrace.

They struggled desperately.

But the more they moved, the tighter the web became.

Beast-Soul Skill: Venom Shadow Weave Dream!

Activate!

Evelyn had already beastified.

Her long green hair whipped through the air as the spider-like power surrounding her intensified.

Her purple eyes were sharp.

She moved with blinding speed.

One student was lifted from the ground.

Then kicked away.

Another tried to escape.

Evelyn appeared beside him before he could take three steps.

A light kick sent him tumbling off the stage.

One by one, the trapped students were knocked out of the arena.

Evelyn landed lightly beside Selena.

She brushed a strand of green hair away from her face and glanced toward Leon.

"That should be everyone."

Leon nodded.

"Good."

Selena looked at the empty arena and smiled faintly.

"We finished quickly."

Leon glanced at the timer.

"Very quickly."

Match over.

The fourth match had taken only two and a half minutes!

"What an astonishing result."

"One-shot sweep? Where did this guy even come from?!"

"Seriously. He’s so strong it doesn’t make sense."

The venue erupted into chaos.

People shouted.

Screens flashed.

Some spectators were still trying to understand what they had just witnessed.

The remaining five matches were all clean sweeps—without any suspense.

Every time the match began, Leon’s side overwhelmed the arena.

Every time the result appeared, the crowd became quieter.

Then louder.

Then completely speechless again.

In the history of the martial exams, this was unprecedented.

Ten placement matches.

And Leon’s side was simply clearing them one after another.

Ten rounds.

Ten opportunities to earn points.

And after the first five, Leon had already made his intention painfully clear.

He wasn’t here to survive.

He was here to take the top.

----------------------

Tenth match.

The teleportation formation beneath Leon’s feet lit up.

A cold blue-white light swallowed the arena.

The system notification appeared before him.

[Bellemont Province Examinee — Admission Number: 9ISI8922J, Leon. You have been teleported to Jade City Venue.]

Jade City was the capital of Bellemont Province.

The venue was grander, the stands more luxurious, and the crowd far larger.

Towering structures surrounded the arena, their surfaces covered with glowing formations.

The public seats were packed.

Thousands upon thousands of people filled the stands.

Cheers and screams echoed from every direction.

Leon looked around and let out a low whistle.

The capital really was different. Even the public seats had removable cushions.

He walked a few steps and glanced at the seating area again.

A strange feeling passed through his chest.

It was such a small thing.

Just a cushion.

Yet it reminded him of how different his current life was from his previous one.

He felt a twinge of bitterness.

In his previous life, his parents had passed away, and he’d lived in a rundown house in the urban village.

His bed had no mattress—just a hard wooden plank.

He remembered waking up with a stiff back.

Cold winters.

Hot summers.

There had been times when he had stared at the ceiling late at night and wondered when his life would finally change.

Leon clenched his fists.

He would rise above it all.

He would escape this life.

He wasn’t going to remain at the bottom forever.

The martial exams were the most direct path.

Getting into a good university meant access to more cultivation resources.

More resources meant stronger beast-girls.

And stronger beast-girls meant a stronger master.

After a beast-girl reached Level 20, the beast-soul master could begin training their own body as well.

That meant both master and beast-girl could grow stronger together—creating a one-plus-one-greater-than-two effect.

Leon slowly released his clenched fists.

His eyes became calm again.

He had already come this far.

There was no reason to stop now.

----------------------------

In the stands...

The atmosphere was completely different from the earlier venues.

This was Jade City.

The capital of Bellemont Province.

The spectators were excited.

Many had come specifically to watch the province’s strongest examinees.

"Tenth match! Steffan’s total score is already 89.7. With home-field advantage, he’s practically guaranteed to win."

"I love the Steffan and Victoria combo—they’re unstoppable."

"He’s crushed nine matches already, right?"

"Probably ten. This year in Bellemont Province, nobody can touch Steffan’s record."

"Yeah—SS-rank Golden Eyed Smoke Lioness! Bellemont only has three SS-rank beast-girls this year, and the other two probably won’t beat Steffan in the placement matches."

"Why?" someone asked curiously.

"Because Steffan has already earned three ’Complete Victories.’ Getting a Complete Victory isn’t easy—you have to sweep every other student off the stage by yourself!"

"Three in nine matches? In past years, getting just one Complete Victory made the news. Steffan got three?"

"Exactly. This year’s talent pool is stacked. The other two SS-rank beast-girls each got one Complete Victory too. The ’Three Heroes of Bellemont’ are definitely trending!"
