Chapter 767: HIS INTERVAL

I landed hard on bum.

"Owww." I said in pain.

I looked up to see Alice progress towards me.

By now people had gathered to know what the fuss was about.

She sneered down at me.

That worse she had used.

Bitch.

She was seething with anger and rage.

A new found hate that I had never known she would be capable of.

Her eyes were now a bloodshot red and her nails had become claws.

She pointed her finger at me.

"Don’t say a word to me you filthy whore." She spat.

That completely took me aback.

"After everything. This is what you of all people would do to me?" She asked.

I was too dumbfounded to even stand to my feet.

I simply stared at her, my lips unable to move and form any words.

"I gave him my virginity." She spat. "We had a connection and you took that. A lot of wolves could have come to claim me, however , I never spoke to you about it. I ignored that. Despite how awful you treat the wolves in the pack. And just when I finally have someone that I really care about. That I confide in you about, you steal him from me."

I shook my head.

It was breaking my heart that she was saying all these.

I resented Aiden.

I despised him.

It destroyed me to know that this was what she believed of me.

I had known her for such a long time, hearing that our relationship be dismissed over someone as useless as Aiden weakened me to the core.

"Yes." She nodded pointing a finger at me as she stepped closer.

I could feel their eyes on me.

Hear the low whispers.

It was beyond humiliating.

If this was what Aiden had planned then he was definitely winning.

"You realized how you were with the pathetic brother." She hissed. "You realized that Aiden is the one who would become Alpha so what do you do? Steal him from me! I know you’re a witch! You use magic!"

There was a soft gasp from everyone and then an increased murmur.

I swallowed.

Before Alice could say any more, her arm was grabbed and she was swung around.

It was none other than Aiden.

He held her arm in front of him and he glared down at her.

"What did I hear you say?" He snapped at her.

There was a sudden hush in the entire hall.

No one said a word.

Alice was now trembling so visibly you could tell.

"Lord Aiden." She managed.

And then Aiden turned from looking at her to looking down at me.

His eyes flickered in annoyance.

I had expected him to be pleased that I was being disgraced.

Why did he look irritated instead.

Or perhaps it was just my imagination.

He turned back to Alice.

"What did I hear you say?" He repeated.

She turned to look at me and I saw she began to sweat.

"M...’y... my l... lll. Lord." She stuttered as she shook her head I.

"Pathetic brother." He said.

She shook her head quickly.

Alas he nodded. "Yes that’s what you said. So my brother is the pathetic one isn’t it?"

Everyone watched.

Alice looked like she would melt into the ground.

"How dare you?" He asked and I could see his grip tighten. "A nobody. A fucking rat like you. The bottom barrel of the wolf system call my brother pathetic."

She began to stutter. "No... p... please... I beg y... you. I swear it. I didn’t mean it."

She began to howl in pain.

Before she started to cry as his hand tightened on her grip.

I quickly got up to her feet and wrestled his hand free from her grip.

"You’re hurt here stop!" I shouted.

Alice quickly breathed a sigh of relief and held her weakened hand.

By the time I turned back to look at her, I saw her arm was now bright red.

Her entire face screamed of pain.

I turned to look back at him, challenging him.

All the wolves became alert and began to growl.

I was defying the one who would one day become their Alpha.

They snapped.

Even Alice’s eyes changed color.

And then he waved his hand.

Ultimately their aggressiveness came to a halt.

"I should never have to set my eyes on you again." He sneered at Alice.

She cowered in fear and then he tilted his head, indicating for her to leave.

Alice hurried out of his presence.

"Alice-

I tried to go after her, but he caught my arm and pulled me back towards him.

"Where the hell do you think you’re going to." He snapped at me.

And then he turned to the bystanders.

One glance from him had them running off.

The moment we were alone, Aiden turned to me.

"I asked you a question of do I slap it out of you?" He asked me rudely. "Where do you think you’re going to?"

I squeezed my face and jerked my arm free. "Let me go!"

I looked at him squarely.

I was so upset.

"Going anywhere away from you." I snapped back.

His face was hard and cold.

"How dare you?" I asked. "How dare you assign me to be your.... Your.... Stupid maiden."

"I’m the acting Alpha and you will do as I say." He said.

I snorted. "Haven’t you heard around? I don’t do what anyone asks me to. You should meet my mother. She would tell you a lot about that."

His face became colder and then he caught my mouth in his face. "I think I need to tame you properly. Shut that pretty mouth of yours. Teach you how and when to talk."

He looked over me and all of a sudden it gave me a strange feeling.

I brushed it off and turned my face away from him.

"Let me go!" I snapped again as I touched the corner of my lips where his finger had touched
