Sienna Johnson was leisurely flipping through a magazine, not pressing him for answers, but after a while, it was Adrian Desmond who couldn’t hold on any longer.

Sienna had an "I know everything, and if you don’t tell the truth, I won’t let you off" demeanor, prompting Adrian to confess,

"Your daughter didn’t want me to say anything."

"Sixth Master, you really listen to your daughter," Sienna remarked nonchalantly.

Adrian’s gaze fell on her hands, watching her flip through the pages with a rustling sound. He grabbed her hand and kissed it lightly by his lips.

"Alright, I’ll tell you. Your daughter wants to do an ad shoot."

Sienna frowned, "What kind of ad shoot?"

"I don’t know."

Sienna got angry, "You don’t know, and you still dared to agree?"

"..."

"Ridiculous! Curly’s being ridiculous, and you’re following along. Adrian, is this how you act as a father?"

Adrian spoils his daughter, his doting having no principles, which annoyed Sienna the most. Such a good kid, all spoiled by him.

"It’s just an ad shoot, it’s nothing major."

"Kids should focus on studying seriously. She keeps thinking about how to make money all day long. If she put that energy into studying, she could have been top of her class by now."

"Focusing only on studying, won’t that make one a nerd? I think Curly is just fine. What’s so good about being top of the class, just a bookworm," Adrian defended his daughter.

Sienna had great expectations for Curly, whereas Adrian had none at all.

"No! She can’t go!"

Adrian said with difficulty, "I already promised her."

Sienna suddenly stood up and strode out, while Adrian sat there regretting deeply, "You had it coming when you blurted it out!"

Adrian also felt ashamed, having revealed everything after just a few glances from Sienna.

But why does she always know when I’m lying? Adrian thought he had disguised it well this time.

...

On Wednesday, when the weather was nice, Sienna sat in her office, looking at the décor when she suddenly decided to visit her father.

She skipped the afternoon’s work, bought flowers at a florist, and purchased some of Dexter Johnson’s favorite snacks from when he was alive, then drove to Phoenix Hill Cemetery.

In winter, Phoenix Hill Cemetery appeared even more serene.

Sienna placed a bouquet of flowers in front of Dexter Johnson’s tombstone, squatting down as she looked at the photo on the tombstone and said,

"Dad, I’m here to see you."

"..."

"I have good news to share. I’m now the President of the Pharmaceutical Association... Dad, am I impressive?"

Sienna stretched out her hand to gently caress the photo on the tombstone, "Dad, your daughter is as good as anybody’s son, and no one will make fun of you anymore."

Sienna felt as if the man in the photo was smiling at her, and she smiled back.

"Dad, I’ve come this time because I have something to ask you..."

Sienna’s gaze fell on a nearby empty grave, which was reserved for Pauline Briggs for when she passes, assuming she doesn’t remarry.

Sienna found it difficult to start the topic, hesitating as she said, "Dad, someone has fallen for Mom."

"..."

"His name is Graham Robertson, the former President of the Pharmaceutical Association. I heard he was your Senior. He... asked me to feel out Mom’s stance. I’ve been very hesitant.

What will you do if Mom really remarries him, Dad?"

"..."

"I can’t decide on this; it has to be your decision, Dad."

Sienna pulled out a coin, flipping it back and forth in her hand, noting its two sides, "Dad, if it’s heads, I’ll go talk to Mom; if it’s tails, I’ll turn him down."

Looking at the photo on the tombstone, Sienna said, "Dad, I’m flipping it now."

Sienna closed her eyes, tossing the coin without looking. As it hit the ground with a clink, she slowly opened her eyes.

The coin that landed on the grass showed heads up.

Sienna picked up the coin and, looking at her father’s tombstone, said sorrowfully, "Dad..."

Sienna stayed silent for a long while, crouched there until her legs went numb, before standing up.

"Dad, I understand how you feel now."

...

Returning to the Johnson Family from Phoenix Hill Cemetery, it was just past three o’clock.

Pauline Briggs was playing the piano with Claire in her arms. The melody was simple, and Claire loved it, her small hands randomly pressing on the keys.

Sienna thought, if she hadn’t been switched at birth, Pauline would have taught her piano like this too. If she hadn’t been switched, she could have spent more time with her father.

Sienna missed her father dearly.

"Oh, our Claire is so smart, so wonderful."

Pauline clapped Claire’s hand, and Claire, seeing Sienna, reached out her hand towards Sienna, wanting to be held by her.

Seeing Sienna, Pauline paused for a moment, "Why are you back so early?"

"I went to see Dad."

"It’s so cold, it’s best not to go too often. Your dad cherished you the most and would worry about you."

Sienna came over, picked up her daughter in her arms, kissed her, and Claire smiled at her.

"I had something to discuss with Dad, so I went to see him."

"Are there troubles with the business lately?" Pauline asked with concern.

Previously, whenever Sienna faced difficulties since taking over the family business, she liked visiting Phoenix Hill Cemetery to talk to Dexter.

Sienna, holding Claire, sat down on the sofa while Pauline got up from the piano bench and approached.

"What’s wrong?"

"Mom, I have something to tell you."

Sienna’s grave expression, with a seriousness that made Pauline anxious.

She sat upright and nervously asked, "What is it?"

"Mom, do you know someone named Graham Robertson?"

"Graham Robertson?" Pauline frowned, thinking for a moment before saying, "Isn’t he the President of the Pharmaceutical Association? Why are you asking? Did he trouble you?"

"No."

"Then why bring him up?"

Sienna glanced at Pauline, quickly looking away, coughed lightly, and then quietly said, "Graham Robertson likes you and wants to marry you. He asked me to sound you out..."

Pauline listened, staring at her blankly.

Sienna said, "Actually, I wouldn’t object to you finding someone else. After all, there’s a long road ahead. Dad wouldn’t want you to be lonely either..."

"You silly girl, is this why you went to see your dad, to discuss this?" Pauline said angrily.

"Yes, I..."

Pauline got up to hit her, "You silly girl, you’re not my biological daughter!"

"Mom, why are you hitting me?"

"Sienna Johnson, do you take me as your mom or not?"

"Of course you’re my mom!"

Pauline, exasperated, said, "If you see me as your mom, how could you talk to your dad about this?"
