Chapter 54: Chapter 54: The Video That Could Destroy Flora.

" A child who dances to the masquerade’s music without understanding it does not know it is a dance of death."

On the road,in the city.....

The streets of London were unusually quiet, except for the sound of Laura’s Ferrari speeding along the road. She drove impatiently, pressing her foot against the accelerator as though someone was chasing her.

"Hey! Easy on the road! Is something pursuing you?" a woman in another car shouted after winding down her window.

Laura turned her head slightly and gave her a disgusted look.

"Can you focus on your rickety little car and keep moving?" she snapped.

The woman stared at her in disbelief.

"Rich fool!" she muttered before driving away.

Laura rolled her eyes and focused on the road again. She already had a terrible day, and the last thing she needed was a stranger interfering with her driving.

A few minutes later, she arrived at the restaurant where Andrew was waiting for her. She drove into the parking area and carefully parked her Ferrari.

Before stepping out, she checked herself in the mirror. She adjusted her wig, then gently reached for the tiny camera attached to her hairband and removed it. She examined it briefly before placing it inside her handbag.

Next, she picked up her lipstick and applied another layer of bright red lipstick to her lips.

She stared at her reflection for a moment.

"At least I must look perfect," she muttered.

After checking her appearance one final time, she stepped out of the car and headed towards the restaurant.

The place was luxurious, with elegant furniture, expensive decorations, and soft lighting that created a romantic atmosphere. There were not too many customers, making the restaurant peaceful and private. A slow 90s blues song by Elton John played gently in the background.

Laura looked around until she noticed someone waving at her from a table at the far end.

It was Andrew.

She adjusted her handbag and walked towards him.

"Hey, darling! You look absolutely stunning. Please, have a seat," Andrew said with a welcoming smile.

Laura forced a smile and pulled out the chair opposite him.

"Thank you," she replied, sitting down.

Andrew looked good in a simple English suit, perfectly matched with a dark shade that gave him an elegant appearance.

He raised one hand and signalled to the waiter.

"Please, bring us another bottle of wine and an extra glass."

"Certainly, sir," the waiter replied before walking away.

Andrew turned his attention back to Laura. He studied her face for a moment and noticed that something was wrong.

"You’re not smiling, darling. What happened? Did Flora attack you?" he asked.

Laura sighed and placed her handbag beside her chair.

"No. It’s just that my sister refused to come with me, and I was ordered to pay £30,000 for damages at the estate gate."

Andrew raised his eyebrows.

"What happened?" he asked curiously.

Laura looked away briefly before answering.

"I broke her flower vase."

Andrew paused, then gave a small nod.

"Oh, that was a lot. I’m sorry, dear," he said sympathetically.

Laura stared at him.

That was all?

She had expected him to promise to do something about the humiliation she had suffered. Instead, Andrew was sitting comfortably, offering nothing more than a few words of sympathy.

She pressed her lips together, hiding her disappointment.

"Yes, it was quite humiliating," she replied.

Andrew reached for his glass and took a slow sip of wine.

"Well, you should have been more careful. Flora has always been particular about her belongings."

Laura’s expression changed slightly.

She lowered her eyes and forced herself to remain calm. She had not come all the way to the restaurant to start another argument.

For now, she would keep her anger to herself.

Andrew leaned back in his chair, studying Laura’s face with a satisfied smile.

"Don’t worry, Laura. You will bring Flora to her knees," he assured her.

Laura’s lips curved into a smile. The thought of seeing Flora embarrassed and stripped of her pride filled her with satisfaction.

"Where is the camera?" Andrew suddenly asked.

Laura immediately reached into her handbag and brought out the tiny camera. She placed it on the table and turned it towards him.

"Here it is. I managed to capture them without anyone noticing," she explained proudly.

Andrew picked it up and examined it carefully. However, the moment he looked at the camera, his expression changed. His smile disappeared, and his eyes narrowed.

"Hope you made their faces recorded?" he asked.

"Of course. I made sure I captured enough footage."

Laura removed the memory card from the camera and inserted it into her phone. She opened the video and pressed play.

Andrew immediately moved closer to her seat, eager to see what she had captured.

His eyes remained fixed on the screen as the video began. He watched Laura confronting Flora and attempting to attack her. However, his expression suddenly changed when the footage showed Flora and Simon sharing romantic moments.

A wave of jealousy washed over him. His jaw tightened, and his fingers curled slightly against his thigh.

"How dare Flora get so close to another man?"

He quickly forced a smile and turned towards her.

"Nice! Great job, Laura," he said, pretending to be impressed.

Laura smiled proudly. "I told you I wouldn’t disappoint you."

"You did an excellent job," Andrew replied, nodding.

Andrew leaned back in his chair, hiding the jealousy burning inside him.

"But we need to be careful. We must make sure everything goes according to plan.

"Listen to me, Laura. If you want to fight a woman like Flora, you must first find a way to pin her down."

He paused, allowing his words to sink in.

"Once this video of her and her driver starts circulating online, everything will change. Her reputation will be questioned, people will begin talking, and she will have no choice but to bow."

Laura smiled, imagining the embarrassment waiting for her enemy.

"Exactly what I want. I want her to experience the humiliation she has been making other people suffer."

Andrew gave a slight nod before his expression suddenly became serious again.

"However, you made one mistake."

Laura’s smile disappeared.

"What mistake?" she asked, her gaze sharpening.

"You should never have sent your sister to Flora’s mansion. What were you thinking? Right now, Flora has something she can use against you. Your sister could become a weapon in her hands, and if Flora decides to investigate everything, you might find yourself in serious trouble."

Laura’s fingers tightened around her handbag.

"Are you saying I should have left my sister out of this?"

"Absolutely. You should have used someone on the inside, someone Flora trusted, someone who could gather those files without raising suspicion. That would have been a much smarter move."

Laura’s eyes widened in shock for a moment. She hated being reminded of her mistakes, especially when she had believed everything was going according to plan.

"But what do we do now?" she asked.

Andrew smiled and adjusted his wristwatch.

"Don’t worry. You are still a step ahead. We haven’t lost anything yet. We just need to be more careful with our next move."

Just then, the waiter approached their table carrying a bottle of expensive wine and extra crystal glass.

"Your wine, sir," he said politely.

He carefully placed the bottle and glasses on the table before stepping back.

"Thank you," Andrew replied.

The waiter nodded slightly and walked away.

Andrew reached for the bottle, gently opened it and began pouring the wine into Laura’s glass.

"Relax, Laura. By the time we finish with Flora, she will regret the day she ever crossed our path."

Laura picked up her glass, but her mind was already racing.

She wanted Flora’s downfall more than anything.

And Andrew was determined to make it happen.

More people continued entering the restaurant. Some arrived as couples, holding hands. Others sat close together, completely lost in their own little world of romance.

As the minutes passed, Laura’s mood gradually changed. She glanced around the restaurant before checking her phone again. She was beginning to lose interest in the evening.

"I will be leaving now. It’s getting late," Laura announced, picking up her handbag.

Andrew’s expression immediately changed. He had clearly expected the evening to end differently.

"What? You’re leaving already?" he asked, looking disappointed. "I thought we were going to spend some time together. I have already booked a room for us."

Laura slowly turned her head towards him. Her expression hardened.

"Andrew, are you serious right now? How can you possibly want two women at the same time?" she asked, unable to hide her irritation.

Andrew frowned. "What exactly are you talking about?"

"Don’t pretend you don’t understand me," Laura replied sharply. "Why don’t you focus on marrying Flora and achieving whatever you want from her? I will focus on securing the houses in Paris. That way, we both get what we want."

Andrew stared at her, clearly unhappy with her response.

"Laura, can’t we discuss this without turning everything into business?"

Laura let out a frustrated sigh.

"Not tonight, Andrew. I didn’t come here to listen to sweet promises while you try to have two women under your control."

She picked up her handbag and adjusted her dress.

"Good night, Andrew. I don’t have time for this."

Without waiting for his response, Laura turned around and began walking towards the restaurant’s entrance.

Andrew watched her leave, his fingers tightening around his glass.

He had expected a romantic evening.

As Laura disappeared through the entrance, Andrew slowly brought out his phone and dialled a number.

"Hello, can you hear me?" Andrew asked.

"Where are you? It’s so noisy over there," the person on the other end complained.

"I’m in a restaurant," Andrew replied.

"Okay, I can hear you clearly now. What’s going on?"

"Good. Listen carefully. Laura has a video of Flora, and she is planning to post it online."

"Are you serious?" the person asked, sounding surprised.

"Of course, I am. I’m not joking about something like this," Andrew replied calmly.

"Wait a minute. Are you saying Laura is about to release a video of Flora online?"

"Exactly. I thought you should know before things get out of hand."

There was a brief silence before the person spoke again.

"How did you find out about this?"

"That doesn’t matter. Just make sure you don’t reveal that I was the one who informed you. I don’t want my name involved in this."

"Don’t worry. Your secret is safe with me."

"Good. That’s exactly what I wanted to hear."

"Wait! She is calling now, Andrew. I will get back to you."

Immediately, Andrew ended the call and slipped his phone into his pocket. A faint smile appeared on his face. He had just set another plan in motion.
