Shirley Ewing didn’t quite agree with Vera Xavier’s words, but Vera didn’t need her to. She just smiled faintly and said, "Lights out soon. You should go back to bed."

Vera Xavier let out a soft sigh and gave her head a little shake. ’I know there’s already some friction between the girls in the dorm, and it’s probably going to get worse over time.’

It wasn’t as if they had some deep-seated hatred for each other; it was just because they came from different backgrounds. Most of these grievances would probably vanish into thin air after graduation.

Vera Xavier was busy with military training every day and had no time to deal with it. As for Sheldon Caldwell, his actual job was Vice General Manager, and he usually had a mountain of work to handle at his company.
